“Khine was on time with drop in visits while I was away, and provided updated and photos of what she did while in my home. I didn’t expect her to even see my two extremely people-shy kitties, but lo and behold, there they were…peeking around the top of stairs on day 1 to see who was in their house. And by the end of the week, Khine was petting one of them. I would definitely use her again!”

“My dogs were happy staying in their home and were back to their old selves on our return. This was so much better than boarding them and then worrying about them not eating. Our sitter,Gabrielle, was on time and followed my directions to the letter. She sent pics and let me know how they were. Will definitely use her again.”

“Catherine was awesome! She went above and beyond for my elderly cat with high medical needs and was very responsive. I felt very comfortable having her look after my cat”

About: I have dogsat for my neighbors growing up, have taken care of my own dogs while my parents were out of town, along with feeding, sitting, and taking my friends’ dogs out for frequent walks when needed. I've administered medication for dogs (pills for managing epilepsy) as well as shots for cats. I've learned to love all animals that come into my care, similar to how my mom and grandmother have operated. It would be a pleasure and privilege to bring my caretaking genes to your furry family! I also take care of birds. Let me hang out with your feathery friends! I live and work at home in Miami during the winter and spring-ish seasons and live and work across the western US for the summer and fall. My schedule is fairly flexible throughout the week until April/May when seasonal work switches my schedule to working one week on, one week off. I have lived with many animals in my lifetime, made mistakes and learned greatly from them, and fully prioritize love and safety to your animals. The beauty of living in Florida in the wintertime and the West in the summer is that taking dogs on walks in the sunshine is never a chore!
“Chelsea was a wonderful pet sitter for us while we were away on a camping trip. She arrived when scheduled, followed through with our requests, sent many photos, and provided exceptional communication when it came to updates and any problems. We came home and our kitties were well taken care, along with our home. Looking forward to our next trip knowing that we can have a reliable and responsible pet sitter available for our cats.”

“Chase was amazing! She helped me out in a last-minute emergency and took such great care of my dog for a few days. Super reliable, caring, and my pup loved her right away. Highly recommend!”

About: I have four dogs from 10 pounds to 150 pounds, and I’ve had dogs my whole life! I love taking care of animals so much that I wanted to be a vet when I was younger. I’m working part time and going to school so I should have plenty of time to play with your dogs or cats! I have two days off a week, as well! I am happy to follow any instructions for your dog’s care, I know it’s not one size fits all! Please let me know of any special commands your dog has, and I’ll be sure to try and work on them with them!
“I so appreciate Sherina's attentiveness and care for my kitty and for my space! I know both are in really great hands with her, and I'm grateful to have such a kind and reliable sitter!”

“Stacy was great! We have a very shy dog who does not like many people. When Stacy was introduced to Bonnie she took to her immediatly which was a great relief to us. She visited Bonnie for dinner and breakfast and Bonnie came out and greeted her both times. Stacy also brought in a very heavy package which had been delived. Defiently will use Stacy again. Thanks”

“Kiley took great care of my fur babies while I was out of town for a few days. It greatly reduced the anxiety of leaving them alone to know that even the shyer of my two kitties was comfortable with some pets and cuddle time. Kiley sent photos and feedback every day, letting me know how my pets were doing.”

About: My JRT and I were a Certified Pet Therapy Team until his death, at age 17, in March 2025. I want to give and receive doggie energy and love until I am ready for a new full time companion. I am a retired professional working as a yoga instructor and End of Life Doula. I am experienced and comfortable with adult, senior, ill, and end of life doggy woggies. My schedule varies from week to week. On the weekends, I might take your dog to the mountains for outdoor adventure (or inside rest). Let me know your needs and I will try to make it work into my schedule. I prefer drop-ins, walks, or sleep-overs at our house. I have a doggie door for small dogs and a fully fenced back yard. I have a backpack and snuggly for those who like to be close. We are open to couch and bed surfing.
“Michael was amazing caring for Chloe and also being respectful of the space. He spent time with Chloe and played, provided food and loads of love. I would definitely get his care again for Chloe.”

“Kate was amazing and took such great care of our furry family member. It was our first time leaving him for such a long period of time, but because of Kate, he did awesome. We will definitely be looking to have Kate watch him again in the future.”
“Monica was a wonderful help while I was away. My usually very timid and anxious cat warmed up to her immediately. She made sure he got all his medicine daily, played with him and went above and beyond to clean some cat throw up off my carpet one day. Highly recommend.”

About: Worked with animals my entire life, volunteered at animal shelters as a teen and genuinely love being around dogs and cats. Message me anytime day or night if you need help. Willing to work any hours that are need day or night, whenever I'm available. Feel free to call, text, or email me for schedules. Overnight included. I care for my animals the same I would for anyone else's. Willing to care for anyone's place as it was my own as well.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have grown up with dogs my whole life, including my family’s chocolate Labrador who is now 13. I’ve also helped care for family and friends’ dogs of different sizes and personalities, from Labs to smaller breeds like Yorkies and mini poodles. I love taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with puppies for walks/playtime (as long as they’re potty trained for overnight stays), anxious dogs who may need extra patience, and keeping owners updated with photos and communication along the way. I have a very flexible schedule this summer and am available for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, and overnight care. I do have a summer class three days a week during June, but outside of that I have plenty of availability and can often accommodate last-minute requests when my schedule allows. I also have reliable transportation, so getting to your home on time is never a problem. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a house with a fenced yard, which gives dogs a safe outdoor space for supervised play and potty breaks. Because I share the home with roommates, I do prefer pets stay off furniture, but they’ll still get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m not a good fit for aggressive dogs, but I’m happy caring for friendly dogs who may need patience, structure, and lots of love. I’m naturally very responsible, communicative, and respectful in other people’s homes, and I know how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet.

This was the second time Devon fed and checked on my cats, and she continues to be absolutely wonderful. It is such a relief to be away knowing everything is handled perfectly. She is incredibly reliable, communicative, and attentive to all of my cat's needs. I can highly recommend Devon to anyone looking for a trustworthy, top-tier sitter—she’s fantastic!

Carson saved the day! Our booking was last minute, due to unforeseen circumstances, while we were out of town and Carson stepped up and helped us out beautifully! Thor adored her and she took extra care to send pics and let us know how he was doing which gave us peace of mind until we returned. We look forward to hopefully having Carson spend more time with Thor.

Kevin is amazing!!!! I messaged him last minute before a quick day trip and I kid you not he responded in less than 3 minutes and was at my door to meet my dog and myself within the next 30. Beyond punctual, friendly and kind. 10/10 experience and would absolutely book again!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Reno. On Rover:
- 99% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
