About: My sister relied on me to house sit and watch her dogs for a couple of weeks every summer when I was in middle and high school. I grew up with dogs and was responsible for taking them on walks, feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, and playing with them. I am between jobs so I am quite flexible right now. I am looking to get a full-time position at which point I will update my schedule here. My cats are feral rescues so I cannot afford to bring any other animals into my home, but I am very cautious while going on walks to be very aware of other dogs (especially off leash), people driving too fast in residential areas, and making sure to bring adequate water for walks on warm days.

About: Pets have always been a integral part of my life. Maybe not all my own but those close to me as well. I have taken care of many senior animals and also some with special needs. I have volunteered at Best Friends Sanctuary in Utah-the largest in the US. I work on call and set my own schedule, which provides alot of flexibility. Most of my work is at night and Saturdays. Prepared to drop in twice a day if needed. I'm always attuned to potential dangers in the house/yard and keep tabs on their whereabouts. I offer plenty of stimulation, attention, and walks.
About: I treat every pet like family, giving them the same love, attention, and care I give my own. I’m experienced with both energetic puppies and sweet senior pets—patient with training needs and gentle with older dogs who need extra TLC. I’m always tuned in to each pet’s personality and comfort, whether that means long walks, belly rubs, or quiet company. Safety, consistency, and connection are my top priorities. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine—I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and make them a priority in my schedule. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime, I plan my day around their needs. I’m reliable, flexible, and always happy to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Caring for animals isn’t just a job for me—it’s something I truly love doing. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, their safety and comfort always come first. I keep a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where they feel secure and relaxed. I follow all routines closely—feeding schedules, walks, meds, and favorite toys—so pets feel right at home. I also give regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I respect your space, your rules, and your pet’s unique needs, treating them like part of the family.
“Sidney is seriously the BEST! She is so good with my dogs, and even though they can be a bit hesitant around new people, they loved Sidney from day one! She does a great job managing their energy and different needs, and she’s very reliable and trustworthy. Sidney cares for my dogs as if they were her own, and I highly recommend her to everyone!!”
“Michael was amazing caring for Chloe and also being respectful of the space. He spent time with Chloe and played, provided food and loads of love. I would definitely get his care again for Chloe.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was young, especially helping with my sister’s and friends pets over the years. I’m very comfortable feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your animals, and I always make sure they get attention, love, and proper care. I’m available Friday evenings after 6 PM and all day Saturday and Sunday. During those times, I can give your pets my full attention, including walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I follow any specific instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, walks, and routines. I’m very attentive and patient, and I treat every pet like my own to make sure they feel secure and happy while you’re away.

“I couldn’t recommend Hallie enough! We hired her to do drop-in visits for our cat while we were out of town, and she and her kids took great care of him. Will definitely be booking her again!”

About: My JRT and I were a Certified Pet Therapy Team until his death, at age 17, in March 2025. I want to give and receive doggie energy and love until I am ready for a new full time companion. I am a retired professional working as a yoga instructor and End of Life Doula. I am experienced and comfortable with adult, senior, ill, and end of life doggy woggies. My schedule varies from week to week. On the weekends, I might take your dog to the mountains for outdoor adventure (or inside rest). Let me know your needs and I will try to make it work into my schedule. I prefer drop-ins, walks, or sleep-overs at our house. I have a doggie door for small dogs and a fully fenced back yard. I have a backpack and snuggly for those who like to be close. We are open to couch and bed surfing.
“Wendy really helped us out on very short notice. We were stuck out of town and I reached out on very short notice and she was able to stop by and feed and care for my kitties. Thank you Wendy!”

About: Even though I currently do not own any pets, i’ve had many family pets since I was born. I’ve taken care of many dogs, including Maltese-Poodle mixes and Dachshunds. I also adore cats. I’m overall very clean when it comes to pet care and friendly with any pet. I carry good intentions when caring for your pet and advocate for animal welfare. I have a full time job Monday-Friday but am available in the early mornings or evenings for pet care such as walks or visits on weekdays. I am available on the weekends anytime, with at least a day notice for any services. I can handle small and medium dogs well, specifically for caging or fencing. I also am physically active for dog walks and restraints if needed.
“Laura is the best! She has already done multiple walks and check ins with our dog but recently we got a kitten and she checked in on him while we were on an extended vacation. She is dependable, responsible and truly cares about Pickle’s well-being. She even offered to buy him more food when he ran out sooner than expected. She leaves the best rover card updates and seeing the pictures of him at play was very comforting being so far away. She even gave insight into his behavior which was so valuable as this is my first cat! We will absolutely book Laura again!!”

About: I have grown up with pets ever since I was a toddler, and have dedicated much time to learning how to care for animals. Besides having my own, I used to frequently pet sit for friends/family, but would like to create more of a career out of it (hence why I’m on Rover!) I look forward to providing my best work for all dogs and cats while giving peace of mind to you! I am currently a college student so my availability will vary, but availability for the most part will be open since my classes only take a couple hours a day! I have an apartment with plenty of open and safe places to walk during the day, and a completely safe home where I can keep close watch of your pets. I also live with my kitty who grew up with a dog!
About: Hi, I'm Hannah! I'm a Reno local, lifelong dog lover, caretaker, and proud dog mom to a 10-year-old Mini Dachshund and a 4-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd. Over the past 10+ years, I've cared for dogs for friends, family, and referrals from people who trusted me with their pets. Whether it's a quick drop-in visit, a neighborhood walk, or an energetic adventure, I treat every dog as if they were my own. People often tell me that dogs gravitate toward my calm, steady presence. At the same time, I love being playful, engaging, and making sure dogs have fun. You'll often find me taking dogs on long neighborhood walks, exploring local trails, or relaxing on the couch for some quality cuddle time after a good outing. I believe every dog learns best through positive experiences and small wins. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, reactive, energetic, young, or senior, I focus on building trust, creating a positive environment, and helping them feel safe and confident. A little about me: I work remotely as a Relationship Coach and Transaction Support Coordinator, which gives me flexibility during the day and allows me to provide dependable care and attention. I'm available during business hours as well as weekends, making it easy to fit walks and drop-in visits into your dog's routine. Joining Rover is a natural fit because it combines two things I genuinely enjoy: caring for others and getting outside for more walks. Caretaking has always been important to me. I spent years working as a nanny, and I bring that same level of responsibility, patience, and attentiveness to every animal I care for. I'm comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, administering medication, and adapting to your dog's unique needs and routine. After each walk or visit, I'll send photos, videos, and updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for. If you're looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, communicative, and genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs, I'd love to meet you and your furry family member! I work remotely and part-time. Pet care is the perfect compliment to my flexible work schedule. I sit at the computer for most of the day and would love nothing more than an excuse to get more steps in. I'm a firm believer that your dog, your rules. Every dog has their own routine, boundaries, and needs, and I take those seriously. Whether that's sticking to a feeding schedule, reinforcing training, administering medication, or accommodating behavioral or health concerns, I'll follow your instructions carefully. My goal is to make your dog feel comfortable and keep their routine as consistent as possible while you're away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Reno
Shelly is amazing, really did an Amazing job. She did everything we asked of her and was truly concerned for our animals. We were worried about leaving our 17 yr old senior dog, but she took extra care. She sent pictures of our babies and checked in everyday with updates. This was our first time using a sitter, and it went perfectly.

Stacy was great! We have a very shy dog who does not like many people. When Stacy was introduced to Bonnie she took to her immediatly which was a great relief to us. She visited Bonnie for dinner and breakfast and Bonnie came out and greeted her both times. Stacy also brought in a very heavy package which had been delived. Defiently will use Stacy again. Thanks

Kevin is amazing!!!! I messaged him last minute before a quick day trip and I kid you not he responded in less than 3 minutes and was at my door to meet my dog and myself within the next 30. Beyond punctual, friendly and kind. 10/10 experience and would absolutely book again!

Sherina is amazing! I’ve booked her twice now, and after the first time, I knew my puppy was in great hands. He was happy and well cared for, so I had nothing to worry about during my trip. She was always on schedule and even went out of her way to take him on extra walks. She’ll definitely be my first choice going forward. Thank you, Sherina!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
