Taking care of them has always been a passion of mine. I’m currently working part time at a dog day care which i love and lets me have plenty of free time to watch your babies whenever needed. I’m very aware of how to take care of pets. Their safety in these circumstances mean a lot to me and if needed reassurance that your dog is okay always give a call or text!

“Susan is amazing. She took amazing care of our dog while we were out of the country and allowed us to enjoy our travels without worrying about our beloved companion. Her communication was superb and her care and kindness are unmatched. We plan to use Susan for all of our future travel. “Excellent sitter, took great care of my babies and my home while we were away. I plan on using Jeff again, as my husband and I travel often. So happy to have found someone like him to care for our babies. He took care of my patio umbrella when a storm came up, cleaned the Great Danes’s chew mess up, and retrieved packages from the porch. Jeff is great, he treats your animals just like one of your children…. Just like we do. You can’t go wrong if you call on him! And Rover is an amazing service, so glad it’s there. It’s much better than leaving them in a tiny kennel while not home.”

About: Grew up on a dairy farm, have had family pets growing up including dogs (of all sizes) and cats. Began house and animal sitting at the age of 15 for family friends. My strict daily routine keeps me on track for animal care. Currently working full-time, filling the day with numerous outside activities and play time for family pets. My love for animals allows me to easily create a great bond with them! Enabling me to closely monitor their behavior for anything out of the ordinary.
About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and have always been surrounded by and dog-sat family members' pets for as long as I can remember. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and will treat and love your dog like my own. I understand the anxiety of leaving your fur baby behind when you have to go, and I know what it takes to find someone worthy of caring for one of the most precious parts of your life. My own dog has behavioral challenges, so I understand what it's like to care for dogs with different temperaments. Whether your pup is reactive toward other dogs, pulls on the leash, gets nervous around strangers, or just has their own quirks, I won't be fazed - I'll meet them where they are and work patiently at their pace! My schedule is very flexible right now since I just finished my PhD research and I’m currently figuring out my next steps. Morning, afternoon, and evening drop-ins are no problem at all, and weekends are just as open. I can also accommodate same-day and short-notice requests. I will be respectful of your home and leave it just the way I found it. And I'll keep you in the loop with photos and updates so you can relax knowing they're in good hands!

With a passion for doggos and a commitment to their well-being, rest assured your beloved companion is in good hands while you’re away! I can make pet care fit into my schedule seamlessly. I am available for house sitting services as well as drop ins. My schedule is pretty flexible. I have no pets in my home, I am easily available to stay where your dog is comfortable, in their home environment. I can provide walking services as well.
About: I have 10+ years of experience caring for a variety of pets, so your pet will get 10/10 care! I grew up caring for my family’s very large Bernese Mountain dog, and slightly smaller German Shepard mix. I know how to handle large dogs and love spending time with them! I’ve been a pet sitter for smaller dogs in past and adore them just as much. I love pets and I can’t wait to meet yours 🐾💗 I am a student athlete, so during the day I have practice and classes, but I can spend time with your pet in between and can stay overnight. My weekends are completely free if your pet needs a little extra play time or cuddles! My dogs at home are a little mischievous, so I’m extra diligent about locking doors, checking windows and keeping food off of the counters 😁! Above all, I love pets so I’ll make sure to keep them safe!
“Alyssa was SO great with the kitties. She was very attentive, responsible, and reliable and she was excellent at communicating through the app. I saw on my Ring that my boys eagerly waited at the door when they heard her car pull in. We will definitely use Alyssa again if we need a sitter in the future & we will recommend her to our friends.😁”

“Alena is a fantastic sitter. She spent quality time with our cats, sending pictures and a comprehensive visit summary each day, giving me peace of mind. I had no worries about my fur babies while I was gone. I highly recommend her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Zephyr Cove
Georgette's attention to detail was outstanding, the weather was a factor throughout her time taking care of our pets, but she made sure that if it was starting to rain, she came back to take our pup from the backyard and into the house. Her dedication and extra efforts were so very appreciated, will plan to use her services in the future for our next trip.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
