“This is the second time we booked with Susan. Susan and her family were perfect for my high-energy baby. They gave him more play time and attention that he probably gets at home! We highly recommend her!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Chewy 's first time on an extended stay. Laura was exceptional with communicating with us and Chewy loved her! She is a true dog person and Chewy picked up on that instantly,he was very comfortable with her and her dog. I will most certainly call on Laura again and will recommend her to my friends. Thank you Laura for a worry free trip! You are amazing!”

“Ivy was great! She provided a meet and great to ease our concerns of our dog being around her cat since our dog has never been around cats much. Definitely would recommend Ivy to care for your pets when needed.”

“Shannon was amazing! She was able to accommodate our last-minute request, and I truly can’t thank her enough. Bella was so well cared for, and I really appreciated all the updates she sent. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Tianyu X. has been an absolutely wonderful Rover sitter for our dog, Scout. From the start, Tianyu was kind, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs. She took the time to get to know Scout and treated her like she was her own pup. We loved that Tianyu safely introduced Scout to other small-breed dogs, giving her positive socialization and playtime. She also brushed Scout, took her on regular walks, and made sure she was comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. It was such a comfort knowing Scout was not only cared for, but truly loved. We received great updates and could tell Scout was having a fantastic time. We highly recommend Tianyu to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Christine is fantastic! She took such great care of our girls. She really brought our Minpin mix out of her shell and was so patient with our young energetic Aussie cattle dog. Lots of communication every day and lots of pictures and videos.”

“My three dogs were well taken care of if not spoiled during their week stay. My blind Chiweenie puppy fell in love with Lauren! The feeling was mutual. You cannot ask for more than that! I would recommend boarding or sitting your dog(s) with Lauren. ❤️❤️❤️”

“So happy we found Kendra! We are new to the area and had to find a new sitter. Kendra was reassuring our pup would be in good hands, asked all the right questions to ensure she could give good care, and was flexible with our schedule. Our girl enjoyed her stay and we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“This was my second time leaving finch here and just like the first time finch appeared well cared for and I think she had a great time hanging out with many new dog friends. I don’t think finch wanted to leave.”

“Lisa was honestly amazing. It was our first time leaving our rescue, and he had a blast with Lisa and Panda! He's a 100lb goober, but can be a handful, and Lisa made sure I never worried. We'll absolutely use her services in the future.”

“Alycia was a wonderful sitter for my two yorkies. She sent check in pictures daily and was accommodating of my pickup and drop off schedule. She is also just a super sweet person. Will book with her again!”

“I booked last minute for a 3 night stay, and she was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of my little guy and sent a sweet photo update to let me know he was doing well. I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Reno
This is our second booking with Sherina and she had our boys for a week. She gets to dub them her velcro puppies because they love her so much that they want to be with her wherever she goes. It is a gift to know that our dogs are so well taken care of and so comfortable with her that we don't have to worry when we are gone. Thank you, Sherina!
Our older Boston absolutely loves when he gets to go see Rachel and her partner. He LOVES them so much and almost doesn’t want to leave when we pick him up. Our puppy is still pretty shy and needs more socialization but I could tell he opened up a lot!! He’s usually afraid of bigger dogs but was playing with a larger pup that was with them. Was really cool to see, he’s a lot more confident too after spending a couple days with them! You’re not going to find a better sitter in town, she is fantastic and so flexible and understanding.

Evelyn treats Aja Marie like her own. We know this by the way she gets excited when we say “Evelyn” and when we pull up to the house. Aja can’t wait to get out of the car and see her babysitter! Evelyn is in frequent contact and sends lots of adorable pictures. Her house is safe and comfy. And her back yard is a doggy paradise. Thank you! We all love you!

Whitney was wonderful. We had to extend Ollie's stay an extra day due to having a car accident on our way home. She made everything smooth and seamless for us. She sent great pictures of Ollie during his stay, and we could tell he really enjoyed himself. He gives her a 5 Paw Star rating.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
