“Millie loves going to see Megan’s family. I never worry if she’s well cared for. When my flight was delayed she was more than accommodating. Will never use anyone else🥰”

“Ivy took great care of our Maltese during our family trip in Reno. Her location is very convenient for those visiting the area, especially if staying at the Nugget or the GSR. Ivy was very loving and patient with our dog and eventually he warmed up to Ivy after less than two days. We will definitely book with Ivy again for future visits in Reno.”

“Oh my goodness BOOK KELSEY!!! Truly she is someone who goes above and beyond to make sure your babies are beyond loved and taken care of. She sent us constant updates and pictures & went out of her way to help our peace of mind when I was getting worried about my cats. Not to mention she’s just sweet as pie. I’m so thankful we found her !!!”

“April and Rachel were fantastic sitters! They were very responsive and communicative, and they went above and beyond watching our Palermo. I appreciated their thoroughness when learning about Palermo’s personality, and they catered to her specific care instructions and needs. We would highly recommend April and Rachel to care for your animal!”

“Sherina was so kind and attentive to our pups. She was also very accommodating to make sure the first time we left our dogs with someone was a great experience.”

“Karly and Emily are the best sitters! We had to leave our 4 month old puppy for a long European vacation and were nervous and sad about having to leave him. Karly and Emily loved him just as we do and took him to do fun things. He got lots of play time with their pup too. When we picked him up he was happy, tired, and well-adjusted. I will use these girls again for sure.”

“There is so many wonderful things I could write about Lisa but the thing that stood out the most to me was when they got home, they where calm and relaxed, completely at ease. I knew then that she knows what she is doing!!! She communicated with me the entire time including pictures as well! She had my one shy pup open up and keep my other little peanut well entertained. Five stars is the least I could give her. I will be booking with her again!”

“If it helps — we’re repeat clients. Shannon and David are amazing. They took such great care of Bella, were very responsive, and sent us daily photos. Highly recommend them if you want peace of mind while you’re away!”

“You can tell Maria truly cares about the pets in her care and goes the extra mile to provide the best experience for each of them. She asked questions I wouldn’t have thought to tell her to ensure our dog was happy and safe, including a description of the other pets that would be present during his stay. She also welcomed a meetup beforehand to make sure our dog was compatible with her own pets, and showed me her house and yard, which gave me peace of mind. During his stay, she provided daily walks and enrichment, and sent awesome daily updates with photos. Our dog is normally very nervous being away from us, but actually seemed disappointed to leave Maria’s house when we picked him up!”

“Tim was an excellent with Luna. I went on vacation for 12 days and was very responsive when it came to updates and pictures. Luna looked like she had a great time with all of the outdoor adventures Tim took her on. Most definitely a reliable dog sitter.”

“Carson was really great, she provided many photos throughout my little guys stay. I was very nervous as this was my first time using Rover with my kitten, but she had great communication and was very welcoming that I knew he was in great hands. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Very happy with Sparky's stay with Madelyn. This was our first time using her as we are only up in Truckee for the summers. She was very friendly and offers pickup service which is nice. More importantly Sparky came home exhausted and with a smile from ear to ear. Sparky had lots of play time with Poppy and her friends and a great place to play.”

“Jacob and his fiancée did such a wonderful job taking care of Teddy! He provided photos and updates often and I was confident he was being well taken care of. My puppy always looked so happy and like he was always having so much fun!”

“Kendra was so great! We had a quick overnight trip as we were traveling through town and she was so easy to work with. She sent pictures to update us and we could tell our dog was SO comfortable with her. We will definitely reach to Kendra again next time we travel through.”

“Katherine was phenomenal, sending daily updates with pictures and making sure to stay in touch with us on how they were doing. She certainly was caring and reassuring, and the pups enjoyed their time with her, which was a great thing to see. They both missed her as we picked them up and took off. Definitely will be returning.”

“My three dogs were well taken care of if not spoiled during their week stay. My blind Chiweenie puppy fell in love with Lauren! The feeling was mutual. You cannot ask for more than that! I would recommend boarding or sitting your dog(s) with Lauren. ❤️❤️❤️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Reno
Kevin was an excellent dog sitter for our Tiko. He sent more pictures and messages than anyone I have had in Rover. He kept Tiko for 7 days. I had no doubts that we had chosen well by choosing Kevin. He's wonderful and I do not hesitate to highly recommend him to anyone/everyone looking for a dog sitter.

Carson was really great, she provided many photos throughout my little guys stay. I was very nervous as this was my first time using Rover with my kitten, but she had great communication and was very welcoming that I knew he was in great hands. I would definitely book with her again!

My dog does not warm up to people quickly but he did her. She knows and loves dogs. Since I was takinf uber home my friend picked Red up and commented to me that I found a really good sitter. Sent me multiple pictures even though I was off grid so I could see them when got on grid again. I will deffinately use her again though Red goes most places with me.
Cody & Emily are great! They went above and beyond with caring for my pup. Easy communication. Great updates throughout the stay. And their home is clean, spacious and beautiful. All together, the experience was comfortable and easy. I felt very secure my pup was in good hands 💗.

Our older Boston absolutely loves when he gets to go see Rachel and her partner. He LOVES them so much and almost doesn’t want to leave when we pick him up. Our puppy is still pretty shy and needs more socialization but I could tell he opened up a lot!! He’s usually afraid of bigger dogs but was playing with a larger pup that was with them. Was really cool to see, he’s a lot more confident too after spending a couple days with them! You’re not going to find a better sitter in town, she is fantastic and so flexible and understanding.

Evelyn treats Aja Marie like her own. We know this by the way she gets excited when we say “Evelyn” and when we pull up to the house. Aja can’t wait to get out of the car and see her babysitter! Evelyn is in frequent contact and sends lots of adorable pictures. Her house is safe and comfy. And her back yard is a doggy paradise. Thank you! We all love you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
