“Danielle was great communicating with us and sent photos of my dog Ume while I was away. Ume was able to sleep with her on the bed. Danielle was able to keep with Ume's eye drop schedule and administer her eye drops. Thank you! We will book again :)”

“Shannon and David provided excellent care for my puppy! Their dog Brian was just the sweetest and great at helping with socialization and playtime. I appreciated their communication, and Zuri came back as happy as can be.”

“I booked last minute for a 3 night stay, and she was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of my little guy and sent a sweet photo update to let me know he was doing well. I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Dog Sitters Above and Beyond! I’m beyond grateful for the incredible care gave to my dog, Enzo. They treated him like one of their own took him on a few walks, playing with him and their sweet dog, and making sure he felt completely at home. It’s rare to find people who not only care for your pet but also go out of their way to make the experience special for both dog and owner. Enzo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly loved. I would absolutely trust them again and recommend them to anyone looking for warm, responsible, and genuinely kind dog sitters. Thank you for being so wonderful to Enzo and to us!”

“These 2 are DOG PEOPLE! Oh and the relief - this was our first time leaving our girls with someone new, but the moment Karly and Emily opened the door, I knew everything would be perfect. Their calm and confident demeanour immediately put us at ease, and we’re beyond grateful. The daily updates and wonderful photos of our girls having a great time were the icing on the cake. I didn’t worry for a moment. We will absolutely be using Karly and Emily’s services again!”

“Christine is amazing! She sent pictures of their walks and other activities daily. She was patient and understanding with every bit of the the process and our trip. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“WOW!!! Emily is a pure angel! I couldn't have found anyone better to take care of our baby! Emily is a sweetheart and very caring & gentle with our dog Max. He took to her immediately and felt right at home. I will definitely book Emily again! Thank you Emily! We'll be back!”

“My three dogs were well taken care of if not spoiled during their week stay. My blind Chiweenie puppy fell in love with Lauren! The feeling was mutual. You cannot ask for more than that! I would recommend boarding or sitting your dog(s) with Lauren. ❤️❤️❤️”

“I had a last minute need to take care of my Sadie and nearly cancelled my trip! From the moment Wendy responded to my request I felt absolute comfort leaving my baby with her! The entire time she communicated with me and sent pictures of Sadie and her DARLING golden, Wilbur, together having the time of her life! I’m not sure who had more fun on vacation; me or Sadie?! Your baby will be well taken care of with Wendy 💕 I hit the jackpot finding her !”

“Oh my gosh! Susan’s home was the BEST for my two puppies. They were so well loved, and came home stress free. My first choice whenever I need a sitter for the pups! Thank you, Susan, for giving them a second home while we were away!”

“Wow, all I can say is Wow. Young went above and beyond my highest expectations. As some others have stated my initial sitter fell through last min and I was frantically looking for someone new. This is when Young saved the day. From the initial contact and meet and greet I could tell this wasn’t your normal sitter. Young had such a strong love of animals and it clearly shows through. Young was amazing with my boy Sheldon and was patient and caring from the get go. Sending me updates and pictures consistently through his stay and even videos. I have def found the only sitter for me moving forward and I cannot give high enough praise and recognition to him for his care. Do not hesitate to book Young with 100% peace of mind!”

“Good sitter. Communicated well, convenient drop off and pick up, was patient with our old dog who needs some help. I would happily ask Yesenia to dogsit for us again.”

“Shawna was wonderful with our senior pet Maya and we are thankful for her care . Maya returned healthy and happy .And we will take Maya back to Shawna as long as she can accommodate.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I provide. I keep a calm, clean home and limit the number of pets I board at one time so each pet gets plenty of individual attention. I focus on maintaining your pet’s normal routine, providing a low-stress environment, and keeping you updated with daily photos and check-ins. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for — not just watched. Because I work from home full time, your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship while you’re away. Plenty of outside time and cuddle time! When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I maintain a clean, calm environment and limit the number of pets I care for at one time so each animal receives plenty of attention. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and bedtime. Because I work from home full time, pets are rarely left alone and receive consistent supervision and companionship. I also provide daily photo updates and check-ins for peace of mind. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining consistency and comfort. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding routines, walks, medications if needed, and any household preferences. I’m respectful of your home and ensure your pet feels safe and relaxed while keeping you updated with photos and detailed check-ins after each visit.
About: My family and I have owned pets since I can remember. I am currently 33 with 3 pets of my own, but have grown up with pets in the home my whole childhood. My family always had dogs and cats in our home, and additionally I owned a bearded dragon, fish, and a tortoise that I helped care for daily. Once I moved to college in 2014, I got my first pet of my own. Her name is Stella and she has been with me for the last 12 years. She has lived with me in Oregon, Texas, and now Reno. Additionally, my wife and I have a silly orange cat named Nemo, and a fun/energetic Frenchie named Comet. While living in Texas we adopted another cat with FeLV who also developed diabetes. I have experience giving insulin injections and taking blood glucose readings. I have met and cared for many of my friend’s pets of all ages and sizes and can responsibly provide all daily care for your furry babies as needed. This includes but is not limited to feeding, walking, playing, transporting, giving oral meds, and subcutaneous injections. I currently work as a teacher and have extended breaks during the fall, winter, and summer. During the school year I will have availability during afternoons and evenings for some care activities, and weekends for more. During breaks, if not traveling, and I will have a lot more flexibility daily. Update 06/08: I am currently on summer break from teaching. My weekday availability has been updated with more available times/ services. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 2 dogs and an indoor cat. The pets have access to the entire unit including furniture during the day and when sleeping. Our spare bedroom can be used for your pet if they are more anxious and want separation from the other animals. My dogs are crated when no one is home to supervise, and the cat has full access to the unit at all times. My pets are all friendly towards other dogs and cats. In the past when sitting for animals, I have them fall into the same routines as my animals for walking, feeding, pottying, and crating, unless specified different by the owner. When doing drop ins and house sitting, I follow all instructions left by the owner.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong love for animals combined with the reliability I’ve built as a teacher, coach, and athletic director. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and energy levels, from playful pups to older companions who need a gentler touch. I treat every visit like I’m caring for my own pet, providing safe, attentive, and engaging care that keeps them happy, active, and loved. I work as a teacher, coach, and athletic director at a high school, which gives me a flexible schedule, especially during the summer. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care for pets, making sure they’re fed, played with, and happy. I prefer having plans a little in advance, so weekday visits are ideal, but I’m also happy to help on weekends when needed. I prioritize creating a calm, comfortable environment where pets feel safe and at home. I enjoy visiting pets in their own residence so they can stay in their familiar space. I can take dogs for walks around the neighborhood, play with them in the front or backyard, or simply hang out and provide companionship where they feel most comfortable.
“Dingo is a senior dog and has a few special requirements with medications etc. Aaron handled all of this excellently and we loved to get the pictures of what Dingo was up to each day! Thanks for taking great care of Dingo”

“Nina was awesome! My husband and I live out of the area but were visiting Reno and our hotel had a no pet policy, so we thought we would try someone close to where we were staying. I saw Nina’s profile and the positive reviews and determined it could be a good fit after we spoke on the phone. Nina was very professional and responsive throughout the entire duration leading up to our booking, and stayed in contact throughout their stay, providing lots of updates and pictures (which we loved!). It put our minds at ease seeing how happy and relaxed our boys appeared in the pictures. I was a little worried my boys might give her a little trouble because for some reason they aren’t huge fan of men, and I knew they would be around a guy but Scott is clearly a gem because my boys were cuddling up to him and one of them was following him around their house and wanting all his attention! Blew my mind a little (in a great way!) lol. When we went to pick them up they were calm, relaxed, and happy and fell fast asleep on the car ride home with zero PTSD lol. While I’m not in Nina’s area, I will absolutely see if she is available again next time we are out there.”

Sparks pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jennifer and Nathan were outstanding!! We had a family emergency and had to leave town in a rush. Jennifer and Nathan were very flexible with drop off and pick up times, which was greatly appreciated. We received pictures, videos, and updates two times a day. It was such a relief to have our 2 cats in their own room, safe, and being well cared for, in the midst of a stressful family emergency. Thank you so much, Jennifer and Nathan for being so kind and caring. Kerry Brown

Wendy was wonderful to work with and treated our dog like he was her own. She was friendly, caring, responsive, flexible and sent lots of pics while we were away. We’re very careful with who we trust to watch our large senior boy because he’s not friendly with most other animals and he’s also hard of hearing. He loved Wendy and seems to have gotten the royal treatment for three weeks. Highly recommend!

Brittany is a real dog lover. Oftentimes when I arrive to pick my dog up from a dog sitter (NOT from Rover.com!!) my dog runs to the car and won’t leave even when I go back into the house to pick up his stuff. This time he was running in and out of the house as if it was home. And he was sitting on Brittany’s lap a lot of the time.

You can tell Maria truly cares about the pets in her care and goes the extra mile to provide the best experience for each of them. She asked questions I wouldn’t have thought to tell her to ensure our dog was happy and safe, including a description of the other pets that would be present during his stay. She also welcomed a meetup beforehand to make sure our dog was compatible with her own pets, and showed me her house and yard, which gave me peace of mind. During his stay, she provided daily walks and enrichment, and sent awesome daily updates with photos. Our dog is normally very nervous being away from us, but actually seemed disappointed to leave Maria’s house when we picked him up!

We are so lucky to have found Sherina. We had never left our pets before and she was so kind and gentle with all of us during a very stressful week. In no time, she had our boys cuddled up in her lap. She checked in with us and sent photos while we were away and made us feel at ease. We are so grateful to have connected with her! The process of using Rover was simple and we had a great first experience. Thank you Sherina!
Krystalyn took excellent care of my dogs. They are both recent rescues and this was the first time I had left them anywhere without me since I rescued in January. I know they were a huge handful and kept her super busy and on her toes. I would recommend her for anyone looking. The dogs were loved, exercised, cared for and also, I loved have the pictures sent! Thanks Kystalyn!
Shanna took amazing care of our dog while we were away. She went above and beyond by sending daily updates with pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. She even took our dog on a fun adventure to the lake, which we absolutely loved hearing about! To top it all off, she surprised us with a thoughtful homemade Easter basket—such a kind and personal touch. It’s clear she truly cares about the pets she looks after. We will definitely be using her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!

We are so grateful for Grammy Wanda. She was absolutely wonderful with our puppy and really helped ease our anxiety in leaving her for the first time. She is so great with dogs of all kinds and makes each and everyone feel loved. Our sweet Ruby had so much fun and she will be back soon!

Whitney was wonderful! She took Pogi on walks and made sure he was comfortable in her home. He likes to sleep on the bed and curl up to a warm body at night and Whitney welcomed him to do so. We missed our return flight home and had to book anything we could to get back. Whitney was very accommodating and understanding. She didn’t add additional stress for us for picking Pogi up a little later than scheduled.

Monica is amazing! From the first meet she was so welcoming. She was so attentive to my pups needs. She asked all kinds of questions in order to get to know them which I appreciated very much. Our return flight home was delayed by a few hours and Monica was so kind telling me not to worry the girls are fine and for us to just be safe. She’s so very kind! I’m an anxious dog mama so leaving my girls with anyone makes me a little nervous but after seeing my girls at Monica’s house with her pup and how comfortable they were immediately made me feel so good about leaving them with her. She sent daily updates with photos and always responded quickly whenever I reached out. We will definitely be rebooking it she’ll have us!

Holly was so kind to look after our dog over the busy holidays. She is clearly very passionate about all furry friends and knows what they need to be comfortable and content. She made sure to schedule two meet-and-greets so all the household pets could acclimate. She sent adorable photos and videos to keep us posted. Her pup Rocky is the cutest and was a great companion for our pup. Would definitely book again!
