“Shannon and David provided excellent care for my puppy! Their dog Brian was just the sweetest and great at helping with socialization and playtime. I appreciated their communication, and Zuri came back as happy as can be.”

“Monica was absolutely amazing watching Kirby! I could tell right away that he was in great hands — she sent tons of pics and check-ins throughout the stay, and Kirby looked so comfortable and happy in every single one. As someone who’s a little obsessed with my dog, that peace of mind means everything to me. Her house is clean, and the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming. She and her partner are just an amazing couple, and I’d trust them with Kirby again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to snuggle my doooood!”

“Aaron and Nicole always take exceptional care of my Bernese Mountain dog Jelly. I can always rest knowing that my Jelly is in great hands. Jelly always looks so happy when I pick him up from a weekend stay.”

“We were so lucky to find Christina last minute. She was so wonderful with Luke and her kids also love to help out and watch the dogs! We had a delay in travel and Christina was super flexible and accommodating.”

“Christine did such a wonderful job with our precious pup Rocco. She quickly caught on to his personality and I could tell he was comfortable with her immediately. Everyday I received updates and pics which I am so thankful for as I am the one with separation anxiety. When we picked him up he was as happy as can be. Seeing him happy during his stay made me happy. Was so thrilled we booked again right away for another upcoming short time away. Highly recommend!!!”

“Roseana is super easygoing and reliable. Her laidback nature made the whole process smooth, and my old l doggie was happy and relaxed. Would definitely book again!”

“My three dogs were well taken care of if not spoiled during their week stay. My blind Chiweenie puppy fell in love with Lauren! The feeling was mutual. You cannot ask for more than that! I would recommend boarding or sitting your dog(s) with Lauren. ❤️❤️❤️”

About: Before requesting to book anything with me, please be aware that I’m a stay at home mom, so my son does accompany me on walks and is present in my home for boarding. Because of this, pets in my care do need to be comfortable around young children. Your pet’s safety and comfort is very important to me and I want to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone involved. I will never force an interaction between your pet and my child, and I carefully manage their environment to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable during visits. I have over a decade of hands on animal care experience, including working in veterinary hospitals, an emergency animal hospital, animal shelters, and even a wildlife sanctuary specializing in wolves and other wild canines. I’m extremely comfortable handling dogs and cats of all personalities. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, elderly, or simply needs some extra patience and attention, I bring professional animal experience and a genuine love for what I do. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I am a stay at home mom and other than some other gigs and taking care of my rambunctious 10 month old son, I am fairly free! I have 2 cats at home and they have the most spoiled lives ever! I live in a 2 story smaller home that’s perfect sized for me and my little family. I have a fenced backyard and am walking distance to several parks.

“Shawna and her family did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. We really appreciate the extra care and diligence with our guy, who’s recovering from a broken leg. Great caretakers!”

“Experience was chill, no issues. My 14 pound terrier mutt got along well with Vanessa and her situation. Was able to book on short notice and will rebook with her in the future if possible. Thank you Vanessa!”

“Erin was amazing with our dog Charlie, who is usually very uncomfortable around dogs and strangers. 2 minutes into the meet and great Charlie had come out of her shell and was having a blast. Erin sent lots of pictures of the dogs playing together and relaxing. Never felt more comfortable leaving my pet with someone to be taken care of, and it’s definitely not the last time Charlie stays with them!”
“Lisa was so wonderful and went above and beyond to make things convenient for me. Sent me pictures and kept in contact to let me know my pup was doing good. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

“Destiny was wonderful ((and so was her partner, who also helps out). This was the first time we’ve boarded our rambunctious 6 month old big pup, and Destiny really put our minds at ease. Our dog has been a bit reactive to some other dogs, which we had been worried about, but Destiny helped us introduce our dog to her two sweet older dogs and it went really well. There were some barks at first but with Destiny’s very competent help we got through it quickly and our dog was a happy member of her pack after that. Her experience as a dog trainer really shows. Destiny was also very responsive and flexible. She sent us lots of picture of our dog having fun and lounging around while we were away. Could not recommend Destiny more highly.”

Shanna has been watching Ludo for the past few years, anytime we go out of town. Whether it is only for a night or for a week, her and her family take the best care of Ludo. She always sends me pictures and keeps me updated on his stay, and I really appreciate her open and quick communication. I love that she takes the dogs on adventures and gives them so much outside play time. You can tell Shanna and her family truly love helping to take care of dogs. As soon as Ludo sees where we are driving to, he gets the most excited every time I drop him off. That’s a very comforting feelings to know my dog is happy when he is being watched. I will continue to request Shanna as our dog sitter anytime we are in need of one and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

Wendy was wonderful to work with and treated our dog like he was her own. She was friendly, caring, responsive, flexible and sent lots of pics while we were away. We’re very careful with who we trust to watch our large senior boy because he’s not friendly with most other animals and he’s also hard of hearing. He loved Wendy and seems to have gotten the royal treatment for three weeks. Highly recommend!

Krystalyn took excellent care of my dogs. They are both recent rescues and this was the first time I had left them anywhere without me since I rescued in January. I know they were a huge handful and kept her super busy and on her toes. I would recommend her for anyone looking. The dogs were loved, exercised, cared for and also, I loved have the pictures sent! Thanks Kystalyn!
Whitney was wonderful! She took Pogi on walks and made sure he was comfortable in her home. He likes to sleep on the bed and curl up to a warm body at night and Whitney welcomed him to do so. We missed our return flight home and had to book anything we could to get back. Whitney was very accommodating and understanding. She didn’t add additional stress for us for picking Pogi up a little later than scheduled.

Monica is amazing! From the first meet she was so welcoming. She was so attentive to my pups needs. She asked all kinds of questions in order to get to know them which I appreciated very much. Our return flight home was delayed by a few hours and Monica was so kind telling me not to worry the girls are fine and for us to just be safe. She’s so very kind! I’m an anxious dog mama so leaving my girls with anyone makes me a little nervous but after seeing my girls at Monica’s house with her pup and how comfortable they were immediately made me feel so good about leaving them with her. She sent daily updates with photos and always responded quickly whenever I reached out. We will definitely be rebooking it she’ll have us!

Holly was so kind to look after our dog over the busy holidays. She is clearly very passionate about all furry friends and knows what they need to be comfortable and content. She made sure to schedule two meet-and-greets so all the household pets could acclimate. She sent adorable photos and videos to keep us posted. Her pup Rocky is the cutest and was a great companion for our pup. Would definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
