“Emely was great with my fur babies. She was on time and easy to communicate with. Sent pics with each visit and I felt like my fur babies were safe in the hands of Emely. Will definitely book again.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Janet! She took care of our cat, Jordy, for two weeks and did an amazing job. She was incredibly sweet, caring, and communicative throughout the entire time, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Jordy and made sure he was happy and well taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely use her again. Highly recommend!”

“This is the second time Sherina has taken care of my cat and garden, and her care and consideration is outstanding; both times, she has gone above and beyond the job description. I forgot it was trash day the day before I was coming home, and she noticed the neighbors had their cans outside. My recycling was completely full, and she was kind enough to take it out. This attention to detail extended to her care for my cat, who immediately recognized her as his new best friend. Sherina’s love for animals is evident beyond the pets entrusted in her care; my cat is a remorseless hunter, and she rescued a baby bunny from the backyard before the cat could catch it. The cat quickly forgave her with the distraction of his favorite treats. Sherina also has a green thumb; she kept my garden thriving during a heat wave, and sent me updates on the blooming flowers in addition to adorable cat in action pictures. She also noticed the nozzle attachment to my automatic drip system had a crack and was leaking. I ordered the replacement, and Sherina offered to switch out the broken one for the new one. I felt like it was a lot to ask since I hadn’t included horticultural engineering in the contract, but she said she would be happy to fix it. When I returned, the drip system was better than ever- no leak, low water bill, no wasted water and happy flowers. What’s more, Sherina was able to watch the house an extra day on short notice when my travel plans unexpectedly changed. If I could give her ten stars, I would! You can be assured that your pet and home will be in loving and competent hands when you’re out of town. Thank you, Sherina, Kepa will be happy to see you again soon!”

“I feel so confident letting Khine watch over our Sophia kitty, she really puts in the extra effort and loves her like her own. She played new music genres and animal documentaries every day and sent so many pictures and videos of our sweet girl playing. It can be stressful to go on trips without our babies but Khine really helps alleviate that stress!”

“Nina continues to bring quality care for our puppy over the past several months. She is clear and consistent in her interactions with our young dog. Another bonus is Nina’s detailed write ups from visits; these specific notes have helped guide us in how we work with our pup. Thank you, Nina!!”

“Hallie is great! She even washed my puppies bowl which is so appreciated considering I work 7 days a week and I'm exhausted when I get home. Stella seemed very happy and there were no messes in the house. Thanks Hallie”

About: My childhood was surrounded by dogs. When I was 12, I had to completely take care of 4 pit bulls, a Dotson, a mixed breed medium sized dog, and 3 cats. I have watched a few friends and family's pets over the years. Before I moved here, I actually helped my cousin take care of his senior husky with low energy that needed shots for a medical condition and a 2 year old German shepherd with all the energy in the world. My foster mom also bred pugs for a living, and have had to help the momma pug give birth while my foster parents were gone. I also have a 4 year old female Black Mouth Cur named Ava, that I have had since 6 months old, and a 2 year old male pitbull terrier rescue named Bosco, that I have had for a year and counting. He is full of fear and needs a lot of patience to work through it, but after 5 months of touch and go work, he now knows what play is and has his own toys! He also is scared to eat or seems to not know what his feeding bowl is, but after different ways to show that feeding time is okay, he is slowly gaining the weight he should be at! Treats were his sweet spot for knowing it is a safe place, and my sweet Ava sped the process for getting him comfortable in his new home and now commandeers my clothing to sleep with in his bed. Due to Bosco being a rescue and has become very protective is why I can't offer in home sitting in my home but am open to dog sitting at client's homes. I am currently a new stay at home mom. I take care of my two boys and my two fur babies. I am more than ready to help others with their fur babies. Due to behavior of one of my dogs, I would not be able to comfortably care for your fur babies in my own home, but I will do the utmost care for your fur babies in your home! Give me all the rules you need followed; Outside during certain times, feeding strategies, don't sit in a certain spot or area in the home. Nothing is too much to handle! I have even taken care of dogs with potty issues and needed baths for their health care and hygiene of your home.
“Alex was an absolute lifesaver when she helped me out last minute with watching my dog, Shadow! She was amazing from start to finish. Super flexible about meeting up, really listened to what I was looking for, and went above and beyond spending extra time playing with Shadow and giving him lots of love. She even gave some extra love to our cats.Shadow absolutely loved making a new friend, and I couldn’t be happier that I found Alex. I’ll 100% be using her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter.”

“Laura is the best! She has already done multiple walks and check ins with our dog but recently we got a kitten and she checked in on him while we were on an extended vacation. She is dependable, responsible and truly cares about Pickle’s well-being. She even offered to buy him more food when he ran out sooner than expected. She leaves the best rover card updates and seeing the pictures of him at play was very comforting being so far away. She even gave insight into his behavior which was so valuable as this is my first cat! We will absolutely book Laura again!!”

“Angie did a great job taking care of our dogs. She both dog sat for a couple of days while we were out of town and did drop in visits. Our dogs instantly warmed to her and she clearly cared about making sure they were happy and comfortable!”

“Megan was great. It was a last minute booking and she was happy to watch our three dogs for us. We received photos of her visit and a summary of how the dogs were doing. Thanks Megan!”

“Amber was great with my cat. Her updates were thorough and I appreciate her attention to detail. During the initial meet n greet, she was patient and listened attentively. She’s easy to work with. I’d be happy to have Amber take care of my cat again.”

“Joan has taken care of my cats several times. Each time I come home, my cats look great, healthy, and comfortable. They know, and I know, Joan loves animals and adapts to the needs and personalities of them individually.”

“Devin was awesome. He was available on very short notice (same day) and was also available to extend the drop in visits off short notice as well with no hesitation. He was consistent with notes, concerns and routes daily & took his time to make sure our dog Juno felt comfortable. We were very pleased with Devin and will be sure to book with him again in the future.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sparks
Shelly is amazing, really did an Amazing job. She did everything we asked of her and was truly concerned for our animals. We were worried about leaving our 17 yr old senior dog, but she took extra care. She sent pictures of our babies and checked in everyday with updates. This was our first time using a sitter, and it went perfectly.

Sidney was excellent. She asked very intelligent questions about the meds for it senior cat, the kennel setup, water etc. she was very responsive to our questions before starting, and the cats were back to their usual hijinks with in minutes of us returning home. It was clearly much less stress on our senior cat. A better overall experience than the boarding house we've previously used. I would highly recommend Sidney and will be booking her again for our next trip in a few months.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
