About: My sister relied on me to house sit and watch her dogs for a couple of weeks every summer when I was in middle and high school. I grew up with dogs and was responsible for taking them on walks, feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, and playing with them. I am between jobs so I am quite flexible right now. I am looking to get a full-time position at which point I will update my schedule here. My cats are feral rescues so I cannot afford to bring any other animals into my home, but I am very cautious while going on walks to be very aware of other dogs (especially off leash), people driving too fast in residential areas, and making sure to bring adequate water for walks on warm days.

About: I am a caretaker! I'm closing my 36 year home based childcare. I LOVE the big puppies. My boy was 140lbs. passed 10/2024. I can be your puppy Grandma! (All dogs are puppies at heart) I have worked from home for over 36 years and plan to keep at home! I am moving from children to dogs. Spending every Summer on my Grandparents farm was heaven, lots of work, done with so much respect for the hours and lifestyle. I moved back to Hidden Valley to care for my parents and raise my kids. They are all gone and I am looking for a new direction, while tending my garden and remodeling. I have never been without a dog (dogs). My children are all in different States so, giving and getting my dog love fix vis sitting is the direction I'm heading as opposed to owning for now! I have always loved my pets more than any couch, so, furniture will be all access. How I will care for your pet will be up to you! 1/2 Acre fully fenced, 110 tree's, small grass area, DG to dig in. 24 years here and all of my dogs (passed) loved it. I have had 36 years of open communication with child parents and I will do the same for puppy parents. We should be cohesive and symbiotic. I left dry food out for my dogs, however, your dog your rules! Hidden Valley dog park is less than a mile from my home. My Livestock Guardian dog did not like the dog park so if yours does not I am totally ok going or not going! The Virginia Range is behind me and easily accessible for short hikes.

About: I helped my mom take care of 4 boxers growing up which we bought as puppies. I love taking care and watching my friend’s pets. I am also an experienced RN just taking a break from nursing. I will treat your pet as family. I am willing to fit your pet care in to my daily routine. Some times I have trouble waking up in the morning but I am motivated to make money right now. I don’t think having pets in my home would be best. My normal job is RN, moved here from PA, taking some time to collect myself in between jobs and find a travel assignment that works for me. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. About: We love all animals and I have cared for dogs since I was eleven years old. Our house is dog and cat friendly. Your dog (s) and cat(s) will feel right at home and receive lots of love. We only care for dogs from one family at a time unless the dogs already know each other and with the pet parent’s permission. We are happy to take indoor cats and we won't schedule any dogs to stay with us when we have cat guests. The dog door is locked when we have cats. My husband and I will treat your "kids" as if they were our own, lavishing them with lots of love and attention. Dogs in our care are treated as if they are our own pets. We play, take walks and relax together. We make sure they are safe at all times. We are happy to feed them on your schedule and we can administer medicine if needed. Dogs are allowed on our furniture, but, if you prefer otherwise, we will accommodate that request. We are retired so we are home most of the time. We occasionally leave to go to the store, the gym or to a medical appointment. We leave dogs and cats home alone when needed, pending their parent's approval. If they can't be left alone for a short time, we make that work for us, and only one of us leaves the house at a time. We have a large dog door into a fenced dog run. We also have a large, fenced yard with lots of places to run and explore. We have no plants that can be dangerous to animals. There is no way a dog can escape from our yard. We keep our front screen door locked at all times when we have guests, so none of our kids or friends will pop in, giving a dog or cat the chance to pop out.

About: Located in Wingfield Springs Dog Companion for 40 years. Volunteers at the Nevada Humane Society Reno. Foster dad with Boxers and Buddies. We have a 1.2 acre fenced in yard to allow pups to run and play. Three bedrooms where they can pick which place to lay their head. I am semi retired so I have plenty of down time to take dogs for walks, visit at pups house or have pup visit Duke and play in the yard or chill out inside and outside. 1.2 acre fenced in yard with DG and grass. Welcoming 2600 sq ft home where pups are free to pick which bedroom/office they would like to relax. Very safety conscious when it comes to all animals. Pups will love spending time here or have me visit them at their house.
