Janet is very kind and was great with my pets. She fed my dogs, gave them water, took them for walks, and also fed my fish in my pond. I really enjoyed receiving the updates and photos. I was very impressed with Janet and will use her services on my next trip.

About: My childhood was surrounded by dogs. When I was 12, I had to completely take care of 4 pit bulls, a Dotson, a mixed breed medium sized dog, and 3 cats. I have watched a few friends and family's pets over the years. Before I moved here, I actually helped my cousin take care of his senior husky with low energy that needed shots for a medical condition and a 2 year old German shepherd with all the energy in the world. My foster mom also bred pugs for a living, and have had to help the momma pug give birth while my foster parents were gone. I also have a 4 year old female Black Mouth Cur named Ava, that I have had since 6 months old, and a 2 year old male pitbull terrier rescue named Bosco, that I have had for a year and counting. He is full of fear and needs a lot of patience to work through it, but after 5 months of touch and go work, he now knows what play is and has his own toys! He also is scared to eat or seems to not know what his feeding bowl is, but after different ways to show that feeding time is okay, he is slowly gaining the weight he should be at! Treats were his sweet spot for knowing it is a safe place, and my sweet Ava sped the process for getting him comfortable in his new home and now commandeers my clothing to sleep with in his bed. Due to Bosco being a rescue and has become very protective is why I can't offer in home sitting in my home but am open to dog sitting at client's homes. I am currently a new stay at home mom. I take care of my two boys and my two fur babies. I am more than ready to help others with their fur babies. Due to behavior of one of my dogs, I would not be able to comfortably care for your fur babies in my own home, but I will do the utmost care for your fur babies in your home! Give me all the rules you need followed; Outside during certain times, feeding strategies, don't sit in a certain spot or area in the home. Nothing is too much to handle! I have even taken care of dogs with potty issues and needed baths for their health care and hygiene of your home.

Angie was fantastic! She went above and beyond in caring for my 2 dogs. She walked them every day, some days multiple times and just took great care of them. The photos were forthcoming after each visit and my dogs just loved her visits. I saw them on my Ring cams running after Angie and jumping up to meet her when she arrived. I will use Angie forever!

Brianna has been our trusted full time sitter of our now 11 month old pup since she was just 12 weeks old. We honestly could not be happier with the care and love she has given her. Brianna has been incredibly reliable and dependable and she goes above and beyond in every way to make sure that both our puppy and us are happy and supported. She feels more like a part of the family now in a way and she treats our puppy as if she was one of her own and we are so grateful for that and grateful for her. Brianna is hands down the best sitter in the business and we would (and do) recommend her to anyone who is in need of a trustworthy and professional pet sitter.

★★★★★ I couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Eve was incredibly attentive, reliable, and caring with my cats. She was always on time, and her updates were very detailed, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. As someone who is new to having cats, I really appreciated how observant she was and how she noticed and understood things about their care that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. It was clear that she genuinely cared about their well-being and wasn’t just checking in on them. She went above and beyond in ways that made me feel completely comfortable knowing my cats were in good hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and dependable to care for their pets.

About: My sister relied on me to house sit and watch her dogs for a couple of weeks every summer when I was in middle and high school. I grew up with dogs and was responsible for taking them on walks, feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, and playing with them. I am between jobs so I am quite flexible right now. I am looking to get a full-time position at which point I will update my schedule here. My cats are feral rescues so I cannot afford to bring any other animals into my home, but I am very cautious while going on walks to be very aware of other dogs (especially off leash), people driving too fast in residential areas, and making sure to bring adequate water for walks on warm days.

Miranda was absolutely amazing! She was timely, communicative, and went above and beyond during every visit. We loved that she sent pictures and updates for every drop-in, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. From the moment she met our dogs, we could tell she genuinely cared about them, and they adored her right back! We felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. We would highly recommend Miranda to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and loving sitter for their fur babies!

About: Loving, Reliable Pet Care with 8+ Years of Experience Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles (yes—even snakes and lizards!), and more. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or calm and cuddly, I tailor my care to make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I offer drop-in visits, and boarding, and I'm known for being nurturing, compassionate, and dependable. I’ve also cared for dogs with special medical needs—including giving insulin injections—so if your pet needs a little extra attention, I’ve got you covered. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I can't wait to meet your furry (or scaly or feathered!) family member! I'm currently in school Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, but I’m fully available Friday through Sunday, and flexible around my class schedule when needed. The care I’ll give to your pet as an individual is the feeling of unconditional love, the sense of feeling safe and relaxed along with the security of knowing I’m a guest in their space being extra observant of their boundaries. I would love the opportunity to work with you and your family on your pet sitting needs! I look forward to hearing from you and your furry friend!

About: I will care for and love your pets as if they’re my own. And I hope most professional sitters would! I am here to meet yourself and your pets where you are at! And with patience, love and positive reinforcement. I would be willing to care for animals of all types—nothing is off the table. As long as it’s safe! Always open for discussion.😊 I am flexible and happy to assist; I would be honored to be your trusted, communicative, attentive, detail oriented pet caretaker. I also can even do a little light housekeeping, if needed. Everything is always open for discussion. This “gig” makes me happy and gives me fulfillment outside of Real Estate. Which, by the way…I am always here for questions about that too. Pets feel most comfortable in their home. Especially if you’re away. I’m here for you all.🫶🏼 Can’t wait to meet you! A little about me: I am a realtor and love my job! But with being a solo-caretaker of my elderly grandmother, this seems to be flexible. My schedule is mostly incredibly flexible, especially if planned in advance. I’m also great for last minute saves if things fell through with your normal pet sitter! I will meet you and your pet exactly where you are at! Anything that is out of my scope of comfort will be clearly communicated in advance or as needed. I am all about open communication on both sides. I can’t help if you don’t tell me what you need! If I can’t provide it, I certainly usually know someone who could. And that goes for a lot of things. Looking to build trusting relationships with pets and their humans! I am flexible on any changes or needs you and your pets may have. I’ve cared for puppies up to senior pups for long periods of time for clients and happy to share those references upon request. The only thing I can’t provide is a place for your pets in my home but I’m always open to yours which generally seems to be ideal. Just ask.🩷 Which both

About: I have had a dog since I was 7 years old, I always take my dog to the park nearby my house. I also have experience taking her on hikes where I am originally from in Wisconsin. I also have experience taking care of cats, and even baby raccoons too which are absolutely adorable! I am a TMCC men’s soccer player so you can definitely trust me to take your dog for a good workout walk. I absolutely love animals no matter the size or kind! I am also a current volunteer at the SPCA. I am currently a soccer player and student for TMCC so I normally have practice during the summer at 4:30 on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesday. But in season things become a little bit more complicated At my house here in Sparks it is not suitable to have your dog stay the day or night unless I have recieved the proper equipment to allow your dog to have a comfortable visit. But I can assure you I know how to take care of all types of animals. I am also a volunteer at the SPCA!

About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 480 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Patrick. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Patrick. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
