Mature/experienced but have cats
I love taking care of animals and have a lot of experience doing so, including vet school for a year and a job doing animal care, and I have a PhD in biology. I have 3 cats so if you want me to take your dog into my home, your dog will have to be good with cats. I work at home, so I can spend a lot of time with your pet and give he/she lots of potty breaks if that is what they need. They will be treated as I treat my own pets. We currently don’t have a dog of our own so we have abundant love to give to Rover dogs. I am reliable and honest. I've gone through a background check with Rover, so I won't steal your stuff if you want me to take care of your dog in your own home. I will come out to your house free of charge before the arranged date to meet your animals (take care of cats too, fish, birds, whatever) and get instructions from you. I cannot stay overnight, due to my responsibilities at my own home, but I will come visit with your pet, feed, walk, cuddle and make sure your house is OK while you are gone. Fees are per visit for coming to your house, and I will take care of multiple pets for the same price. This may end up cheaper that someone who charges per pet.

Tanner had a great time with Maria and the other dogs. It's always a good sign when you pick up your dog and he greets you and then wonders back inside. We'll definitely be reaching out the next time we go on a trip.

Maria was amazing with our two pups! She is so kind and takes such great care of them..sending us photos, taking them on walks, and keeping us updated while we’re away. When our flight plans changed last minute, she was incredibly generous and let them stay an extra night at no charge. We feel completely comfortable leaving them with her and are already using her again this weekend. Highly recommend! ❤️ thank you maria!
Maria is amazing. She has a true love for animals and knowledge. Or little guy was is good hands and it was so nice not to worry. She will be our go to in the future.

I work at home on a computer so I’m home a lot and your pets will be well attended to and not left alone for hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I don’t currently do house sitting because of my responsibilities at my own house. I take care of clients like I do my own animals, treating them as family. I believe in lots of love, attention and exercise. Rover dogs will stay downstairs, so my cats can have the upstairs to themselves. We also have a pet gate on our porch, to prevent escapes.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks: I usually walk dogs in the neighborhood near my house but occasionally take dogs to the hills nearby, Wedekind dog park, etc. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Where ever he/she wishes downstairs. I keep clients downstairs with a barrier, so the cats have a break since some of them are very shy of new dogs. Time I'll spend with your dog Since I work at home (4-5 days a week), I will spend most of the day with your dog.
