“Liliana has taken great care of our dog, Lego, multiple times. She’s reliable, communicative, and always sends updates that give us peace of mind while we’re away. Lego is always happy with her, and we highly recommend Liliana!”

“We can't recommend Anne enough! She took such amazing care of Mia and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She sent us plenty of updates and photos, and every single one showed Mia looking happy and comfortable. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. We are so grateful and will absolutely book with her again. Thank you so much ❤️🐾”

“Great experience with Adam, Lauren & their sweet dog, Stevie! They have a lovely home with plenty of room for pups! They were able to accommodate a last minute booking and I was so grateful to leave my two black labs in such good hands. Got awesome updates throughout the weekend and easy coordination for drop off and pickup. Definitely recommend!”

About: As lifelong dog owners ourselves, we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. Bre has experience volunteering at the humane society, and we've spent the last few years pet sitting, caring for dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. Whether they need long walks, playtime, or just some cuddles on the couch, our goal is to stick to your dog's normal routine and treat them like one of our own. Dan and I both work in the restaurant industry, which gives us a flexible schedule. We work 3–4 days a week and often work opposite shifts, so one of us is usually home or available throughout the day. If we do work the same day, our shifts are in the evening, so we still have the entire morning and afternoon to spend with your pet. We make it a priority to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and love so your pet feels comfortable with us. We want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while in our care. We have a fenced-in backyard and live just minutes from the marsh and beach, which gives us plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime. Our own dog loves exploring the area and swimming, but we always prioritize each dog's individual comfort. If your dog prefers to be the only pet or does not do well with other dogs, we are happy to provide care in your home instead. We understand that every owner has their own routines and expectations, and we will always respect your instructions and your pet’s needs. At our home, dogs are welcome on the couch, surrounded by toys, attention, and lots of love. Whether your pet is staying with us or we are caring for them in their own home, our goal is to create a safe, trusting, and stress-free environment.
“Laura was great with my Labrador Charlie! He settled right in with her 2 small dogs, like he was just one of the pack. I loved that she sent photos of Charlie's adventures of the day, it made me feel good knowing he was well taken care of. I would definitely be happy knowing Charlie's in Laura's care on my future busy days in Tahoe!”

“Choi was a fantastic sitter for our puppy! She took him on several walks, kept us well informed and took lots of photos for us. We felt incredibly comfortable throughout his overnight stay under her care!”

About: I am a dog mommy of a medium 14 year old pit mix, Roxy. I love all dogs and have family with everything from a Chihuahua (with no teeth) to a dopey Great Dane named after prince George. I have babysat all of their dogs and love to play outside with them. I like to run and hike with my dogs and we like to be silly together. She is getting older (14 years old) so she is not as active as she once was. I'm an educator, so my own pup is used to me being gone during the day, but because of holidays and summers I'm also free frequently. My own dog in the past struggled with stubborness and reactivity, so I know how to work with stubborn dogs and easy going dogs of all sorts. I have also worked with geriatric dogs and know what a struggle it can be when dogs are getting into old age. As an educator I work Monday through Friday (most weeks) during the day, and am home evenings, but have extensive availability weekends and holidays. My schedule can be somewhat flexible I am available to come to your home if your dog needs some company or can have your pup at my place. I also have transportation for taking your pet to the beach, river, or parks. I am happy to run, walk, or just hang out with your pets.
“Christian and his wife watched Posie for 4 days and they did an amazing job! It was a last minute booking and Christian was very responsive. From photos, I could tell Posie felt very comfortable in their home and was having a blast with their own dog. Thank you Christian for taking great care of my Posie. Would definitely rebook.”

About: Compassionate and dependable animal caregiver with 5 years of hands on experience caring for four Goldendoodles and one Black Labrador. Skilled in providing daily care, including feeding, exercise, maintaining routines, and ensuring a safe, healthy environment. Experienced in managing multiple dogs at once, recognizing behavioral cues, and meeting each animal’s unique needs with patience and attention. Dedicated to promoting the well-being, comfort, and happiness of every pet while building trust with both animals and their owners. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I already enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I regularly go on runs, walks, hikes, paddle boarding trips, and swimming, and I would love to have a dog accompany me during those activities. Caring for pets would add structure and purpose to my day while also keeping me active and engaged. I also work full time as a medical assistant at Tahoe Forest Health System Monday through Thursday from 5:45 AM to 4:20 PM, so I really value making the most of my time outside of work. Having pet care responsibilities would be a great way for me to stay busy and active after my shifts or on my days off. Since I don’t have much family or many friends in the area, I genuinely enjoy the companionship of animals and would love to build a bond with your pets. Spending time with them would not only keep them happy and exercised, but also keep me motivated, fulfilled, and connected throughout the week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. I make sure they are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise through walks and playtime, and receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision while in my care. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they feel safe and well cared for in their own environment. When I lived in Cameron Park, I cared for five dogs of my own and kept them all very active through daily walks, outdoor time, and structured routines. Since moving, I no longer have pets of my own due to limited space and financial stability, but my experience with multiple dogs has given me strong hands-on knowledge of managing different personalities and energy levels at once. This experience has helped me stay confident and attentive when caring for other people’s pets, and I treat every animal like they are my own while they are in my care.
About: I’m an all around animal lover that has taken part in fostering dogs of all sizes in the past. I’m comfortable being around dogs of all breeds and sizes as well as cats. I’ve always treated all animals like family and I know I would make a good fit for most pet owners. I am working full time during week with off days typically mid -week but if you’re ok with being gone for a little throughout the day, I always have time for lots of love and attention. Feel free to ask any questions. I work full time in the South Lake area but I’m available for pop-ins and house sittings. During this time, I sometimes have to be at work for longer periods of time on the weekends. So, it can be harder for me to accept house sittings for pets that need round the clock care or need potty breaks in shorter interval during the winter months. Feel free to reach out to me so we can have a conversation about your pet’s needs. I take time to give your pets love and make them as comfortable as possible when you’re away. I’m gentle with them without being a complete pushover. I have a lot of love to give and I treat animals like family.

“Tessa took wonderful care of our puppy-He had a nice home and a great grassy backyard to play-Additionally we eceived daily updates-and she even took him for a swim! Our pup looked great when we picked him up and Tessa even had a little to go treat for him too-We highly recommend her‼️‼️”

About: My fiance and I have a Bulldog Lab mix with epilepsy named Asparagus. Seizures with a 90+ dog are difficult, but I do what I need to to make sure he is comfortable and not a danger to himself. My life long friend, Dodger, passed away at 15 this last year. She passed in my arms, after about a year of doing everything we possibly could to keep her comfortable, including administering ointments and frequent diaper changes. I love animals more than I love people and have been caring for all sorts since I was very young. I also have experience with cats, chinchillas, and an assortment of reptiles, rodents, and amphibians. My schedule is very flexible, which is great because I can make room for all the lovely animals out there! I am a bartender around town, but this never takes up full days. I am attentive and caring. I am also very observant and great at reading situations, whether that be with the environment or other animals or needs more specific to your pet.

About: My family has always had 1-2 dogs, and I have been watching other people's dogs for 6 years. My family once had 4 cats and farm animals, so l am also experienced with other animals. I love going on hikes and walks. My clients are always happy with my caretaking, often asking me to watch their animals again. I am able to watch your pet (s) at animals again. I am able to watch your pet (s) at you house, as long as it is clean, but l am also able to watch your pets) at my house, as long as they get along with my families' dog. :) I have watched many types and breeds of dogs (doodle mix, Chihuahua mix, Australian cattle dog, etc) I am currently unemployed, so I have lots of time to give your dogs attention, hikes, or whatever they need. I will only not be available June 8-19, and after mid August my availability will change. I have a fenced yard, and one friendly, smallish dog. I live on a ranch, so beyond the dance there is plenty of space for the dog to run around if they are okay off leash. I also have one cat, so it is preferable that your pet is cat friendly, but if not I may be also to make it work.
“Wendy and her husband are extremely kind people! They have the perfect back yard for dogs of all sizes and the ability to separate dogs if need be which is extremely important when caring for dogs! Our dogs were pooped when we got home so I know they had a good time!”
“Susan, we were SO happy with the wonderful service you provided for us in February and March. You were flexible, loving and so caring of all the animals. We highly recommend your services! Thank you and we will see you again another time.”

Heather and her family were dream dogsitters. So sweet, responsive, and loved seeing her boys cuddle up with Chai. My dog has a few additional needs as a senior dog, and Heather met them all precisely. I could tell Chai loved her so much and was so comfortable in her home!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
