About: We hit the trails daily and have plenty of safe, secure space to exercise your pup. I'm currently taking on some gig work to supplement my grad school aid as I finish my degree. Time is as precious as the angels by our side, and I’ll treat your pup like my own. For your peace of mind, I maintain an active Wilderness EMT certification, and my trail kit always includes canine-specific tourniquets and first aid. Flexible schedule. We prefer early, especially before a summer crowd, so that there is some safe space for everyone to run off leash and feel the freedom we all deserve. Selectively accepting a few well mannered companions. We'll keep a good eye. I have a couple spare tracking collars if that is a concern for off leash activity.
“My family was on a short vacation and didn't realize dogs were not allowed where we stayed. I contacted Laura and she accepted my boarding request quickly and even came to picked up our pup. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day and I must say our doggy had a vacation herself! Laura took her on a beautiful walk through the snow and then another to the beach. Our pup then got to play with Laura's two dogs. I cannot recommend Laura enough and I will certainly be contacting her to watch our girl next time we vist!”

“Leilah was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly treated our pups like her own. I highly recommend her services and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Melissa is absolutely incredible and kept me up to date during my trip on how well my Rocket was doing! Couldn’t be more grateful for how caring and attentive Melissa is!!”

“Jaimie was awesome! She was flexible around a few oddities with pickup/drop off, but most importantly treated our dog Maple so well! Great walks and play time, we could tell Maple was very happy. Thank you!!”

About: Dogs are part of the family in my home, and I’ll treat yours the same way. I have a large yard with plenty of room to play and relax, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable inside (including cuddling up on the couch). I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. My family includes a larger Labradoodle and a small Chihuahua/Terrier mix, both older, so I am also very comfortable with senior dogs and their needs. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, loved, and completely at home while they’re here. Pet care is already part of my everyday routine since I have dogs of my own. I work from home often and have plenty of flexibility for playtime, potty breaks, attention, and lots of cuddles. Your dog will be included in my normal family routine and get plenty of time both inside outside in my large yard. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to play and explore safely. Inside, dogs are treated like family and are welcome to relax, including on the couch. I have both a larger Labradoodle and a small Chihuahua/Terrier mix, so I am very comfortable with different sizes and personalities. Our dogs are older and my home is relaxed, loving, and dog-friendly.
“Ashley was so great helping us last minute when we had travel cancellations! Her flexibility was so so appreciated. Leo had a blast and was exhausted for 2 days after returning home! I’d look to Ashley again for sure!”

“Anne May is simply amazing. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have found somebody who takes care of my little buddy so attentively and lovingly. I always have peace of mind when Ernie gets to stay with this great person.”

“Melissa took care of our two girls in her home while we went on vacation. She kept us updated with pictures daily which made it easy to enjoy our trip. Melissa responds quickly to messages and our girls warmed up to her right away. I would recommend Melissa and will definitely be using her again to watch our sweet girls Sasha and Tessa.”

About: Animals bring me peace and joy and I just can't help but want to be around them to support them. I have raised dogs and other animals throughout my life. I have had cats, fish, hamsters, and even hermit crabs. Animals are always full of life and hope. I have two dogs now. A mother and daughter. It really shows me how deep animals can feel. I love them. Pet sitting is my priority. I spend 24/7 at home unless I am at the park or running errands. I can devote ample time to pet care. I have a fenced yard and two small dogs. About: Hey there! I have lived my entire 30 years with dogs. From growing up with two golden retrievers to getting my own dog louie at 17- and seeing him through his senior years all the way up until his passing this past February. We still have his sweet loving sister Nala who is 5, a tender gentle girl who lives for fetch! She may be timid at first meet but is just a submissive gentle girl who eventually opens up for fun loving play if the other dog will have her :) I have dog and cat sat for family and friends since I can remember. I absolutely love animals and take care of them with immense responsibility and care as I know from my own experience they are often some of the most important beings in our life. My husband Louie (my dog Louie came first they just happened to have the same name! lol) is also an animal lover and instantly adopted my babies upon meeting and has always treated them with tender and diligent care. We are responsible loving and caring pet parents who take the responsibility of looking after your loved one very seriously! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. We look forward hearing from you. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule that I create with plenty of time to work around the needs of the animals I am caring for. We currently live in a home with an enclosed deck space, however whenever we aren't home we keep the windows and doors completely shut and locked.

About: I’d make an excellent dog sitter because I bring energy, attentiveness, and a genuine love for animals into everything I do. Even without formal experience, I’m highly responsible and quick to learn, which means I’ll carefully follow any instructions to keep each animal happy, healthy, and on their routine. I’m naturally patient and observant, so I can pick up on personality and needs with confidence! Whether that means playful energy, calm companionship, or extra care and reassurance. Most importantly, I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I would treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and excited while their owner is away! I am currently working part time and going to school part time. I am free most days and want to still remain productive in any way I can. I ensure cleanliness and safety when it comes to being in someone’s home. I love to clean and tidy up whenever I can! As an introvert, I love quietness so noise isn’t something I emit a bunch of.

Heather and her family were dream dogsitters. So sweet, responsive, and loved seeing her boys cuddle up with Chai. My dog has a few additional needs as a senior dog, and Heather met them all precisely. I could tell Chai loved her so much and was so comfortable in her home!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
