Pet Boarding in Verdi

About: I am Andi, mom to 12-year-old Henry. Henry LOVES dogs and is excited to host some new dog friends in our home. Henry and I will work together to make sure your dog is happy, healthy, exercised, fed and loved. We had an elderly dog who we loved dearly, who passed over the rainbow doggie bridge, so to speak, in May. We are used to administering medicine and taking care of all types of dogs because of him. We also have a toddler in our home so dogs must tolerate little kids. Andi is home full-time to be with your dog. Henry goes to school Monday - Friday but is excited to help on weekends and after school. We live in a neighborhood without fences. We will walk your dog as many times per day as they need. They can be on leash or off leash depending on recall and temperament.

When we picked them up, it was clear they were a little sad to leave her! We are so grateful for her incredible care and would absolutely trust her with our dogs again in the future.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I provide. I keep a calm, clean home and limit the number of pets I board at one time so each pet gets plenty of individual attention. I focus on maintaining your pet’s normal routine, providing a low-stress environment, and keeping you updated with daily photos and check-ins. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for — not just watched. Because I work from home full time, your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship while you’re away. Plenty of outside time and cuddle time! When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I maintain a clean, calm environment and limit the number of pets I care for at one time so each animal receives plenty of attention. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and bedtime. Because I work from home full time, pets are rarely left alone and receive consistent supervision and companionship. I also provide daily photo updates and check-ins for peace of mind. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining consistency and comfort. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding routines, walks, medications if needed, and any household preferences. I’m respectful of your home and ensure your pet feels safe and relaxed while keeping you updated with photos and detailed check-ins after each visit.

About: My family and I have owned pets since I can remember. I am currently 33 with 3 pets of my own, but have grown up with pets in the home my whole childhood. My family always had dogs and cats in our home, and additionally I owned a bearded dragon, fish, and a tortoise that I helped care for daily. Once I moved to college in 2014, I got my first pet of my own. Her name is Stella and she has been with me for the last 12 years. She has lived with me in Oregon, Texas, and now Reno. Additionally, my wife and I have a silly orange cat named Nemo, and a fun/energetic Frenchie named Comet. While living in Texas we adopted another cat with FeLV who also developed diabetes. I have experience giving insulin injections and taking blood glucose readings. I have met and cared for many of my friend’s pets of all ages and sizes and can responsibly provide all daily care for your furry babies as needed. This includes but is not limited to feeding, walking, playing, transporting, giving oral meds, and subcutaneous injections. I currently work as a teacher and have extended breaks during the fall, winter, and summer. During the school year I will have availability during afternoons and evenings for some care activities, and weekends for more. During breaks, if not traveling, and I will have a lot more flexibility daily. Update 06/08: I am currently on summer break from teaching. My weekday availability has been updated with more available times/ services. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 2 dogs and an indoor cat. The pets have access to the entire unit including furniture during the day and when sleeping. Our spare bedroom can be used for your pet if they are more anxious and want separation from the other animals. My dogs are crated when no one is home to supervise, and the cat has full access to the unit at all times. My pets are all friendly towards other dogs and cats. In the past when sitting for animals, I have them fall into the same routines as my animals for walking, feeding, pottying, and crating, unless specified different by the owner. When doing drop ins and house sitting, I follow all instructions left by the owner.

I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and energy levels, from playful pups to older companions who need a gentler touch. I treat every visit like I’m caring for my own pet, providing safe, attentive, and engaging care that keeps them happy, active, and loved. I work as a teacher, coach, and athletic director at a high school, which gives me a flexible schedule, especially during the summer. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care for pets, making sure they’re fed, played with, and happy. I prefer having plans a little in advance, so weekday visits are ideal, but I’m also happy to help on weekends when needed. I prioritize creating a calm, comfortable environment where pets feel safe and at home. I enjoy visiting pets in their own residence so they can stay in their familiar space. I can take dogs for walks around the neighborhood, play with them in the front or backyard, or simply hang out and provide companionship where they feel most comfortable.

About: I’ve been a pet owner myself over the years & cared for other animals along the way. I especially have a real love of doggies and am very attentive to their needs. I have experience with aging dogs & the challenges that come with that. I understand the anxiety that can come from leaving your pet at home, so I am happy to use my time with yours & bring you the peace of mind that your pet is in good hands. I currently work part time so I have the flexibility and time to give to your pet! I am located centrally in South Reno convenient to most neighborhoods. Inquire even if a day is marked as unavailable, I can usually be very flexible with my schedule! I will care for your pet as if they were my own & specific to its needs in its own home. Please communicate any special needs, quirks or need to know info about your pet so I can give the best care! 🐶 CATS: I don’t advertise care for cats, however if you also have a cat in the home I am open to caring for them & working that into the pricing 😸
