About: I'm so happy with my choice to transition to travel nursing, but I miss having dogs in my life! I'm looking to walk furry friends as I get to know the local area and serve your community. My work (and recreation) schedule varies, so I may not be able to commit to a set routine, but I'm happy to jump in and walk your pupper when I can! Please let me know what your rules are for your dog and what kind of behavior I can expect from them. Are they friendly with other dogs? Do they go bonkers for squirrels? Gobble up sidewalk trash like a Rumba? Is every morning walk going to be a 3-pooper? Let me know! :-) For long hikes, I will keep your dog leashed until I know them well and have your permission for them to be off-leash.

About: NEW TO ROVER, but not new to pet sitting! Dogs stay in my home as part of the family with me, my two animal-obsessed daughters, ages 12 and 16, and our two friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Your dog(s) have access to a beautiful, fully-fenced half-acre yard, a dog door, a clean and comfortable carpet-free home and plenty of room to run, sniff and explore indoors and outside. I prefer extended stays and host only one to four visiting dogs at a time, depending on their size, needs and personalities. This allows each dog to settle into our normal household routine and receive plenty of personal attention. I primarily accept small and medium dogs and require a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone will be safe, comfortable and relaxed together. I accept large dogs only if I have boarded them previously and know they are trustworthy around smaller animals, but if you feel strongly that your big mellow dog would fit in best with small animals and not play rough, please reach out! I’ve had dogs for most of my life and regularly care for pets belonging to friends and local families. I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs, administering medications and accommodating different exercise needs. I also offer drop-in care for cats, chickens and other small pets in their own homes. I work about 10 minutes from home and can usually come home at lunchtime when needed. Dogs get plenty of yard time before and after work, with evenings and weekends available for walks, play and attention. I’m a particularly good fit for dogs that are already comfortable relaxing at home during a normal workday. I can also accommodate midday meals, medications and other care needs. Visiting dogs live with us as part of the family. They’re welcome on the couch or bed and can use the dog door if they’re comfortable with it. My fully fenced, half-acre yard includes a large lawn, orchard, garden and sagebrush-covered hillside with lots of room to run and explore. Chickens are kept separately in an enclosed coop or their own fenced area. I’m directly on the Steamboat Ditch Trail, so walks start right from the house. I’m also happy to take energetic dogs on longer walks, hikes or runs.

About: Apart from my own mini aussie, Hobbs, I have cared for friends and families pets ranging from puppies to equine. My own dog is going on 13 this year meaning I am no stranger to administering medication or following special care instructions. I also have my own flock of chickens (2 years old) that I’ve raised from a day old. I’ve had to treat them medically numerous times making avian care well known to me. In addition, I’ve grown up around and involved in care for horses and other livestock (goats, sheep). I’m currently going to school at UNR but classes are over at 3pm! Late afternoons and nights work great. The weekends I can accommodate virtually any time and overnights. I am working a part time job, so my fluctuating schedule will be reflected in my availability. While I don’t currently offer services in my own home, I have my own vehicle large enough for big puppies in case of emergency! Otherwise I will abide by any and all house rules and instructions :)
