“Danika was an absolute life-saver when our cat ended up going to the emergency vet just a few days before my family and I were going on vacation for a whole week after. As he recovered from his vet visit, he required constant care which involved multiple check-ins a day, monitoring how often he drank water, ate his food, and used the litter box. He also needed to be given 3 different medications on different time schedules, 2 of which required being administered with a syringe in his mouth. Danika was able to do all of this and even texted us updates after each visit to let us know how things were going. Her availability on such short notice along with her attention to detail and genuine love and care for our cat gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation without feeling worried the entire time. About: I’m a small-breed dog mom to two friendly Shih Tzus. I’ve trained both of them from puppyhood, so I’m experienced in teaching calm behavior, basic obedience, and creating a well-structured environment for small dogs. I’m happy to reinforce good manners. I have a fenced backyard and a fenced small-breed dog park within walking distance, and we go there every other day for playtime and socializing. Leonard and Taylor are both gentle, well-behaved, and great companions for visiting pups. My home is calm, clean, and ideal for small-breed dogs who enjoy a safe and friendly environment. I’m available full time for boarding on weekends and holidays. On weekdays, my two Shih Tzus—Leonard (born April 2024) and Taylor (born March 2025)—stay home from about 10am to 6pm. They are used to a calm routine and do very well together. If your dog is comfortable being without a human for part of the day, weekday boarding can also work. I live in a house with a fenced backyard and a fenced small-breed dog park within walking distance. We go there every other day for playtime and sniff walks. Both Leonard and Taylor are friendly, gentle Shih Tzus who make great company for visiting small dogs. My home is clean, safe, and perfect for small breeds. I also have both small and medium crates available if you prefer your dog crated.

About: My family and I have owned pets since I can remember. I am currently 33 with 3 pets of my own, but have grown up with pets in the home my whole childhood. My family always had dogs and cats in our home, and additionally I owned a bearded dragon, fish, and a tortoise that I helped care for daily. Once I moved to college in 2014, I got my first pet of my own. Her name is Stella and she has been with me for the last 12 years. She has lived with me in Oregon, Texas, and now Reno. Additionally, my wife and I have a silly orange cat named Nemo, and a fun/energetic Frenchie named Comet. While living in Texas we adopted another cat with FeLV who also developed diabetes. I have experience giving insulin injections and taking blood glucose readings. I have met and cared for many of my friend’s pets of all ages and sizes and can responsibly provide all daily care for your furry babies as needed. This includes but is not limited to feeding, walking, playing, transporting, giving oral meds, and subcutaneous injections. I currently work as a teacher and have extended breaks during the fall, winter, and summer. During the school year I will have availability during afternoons and evenings for some care activities, and weekends for more. During breaks, if not traveling, and I will have a lot more flexibility daily. Update 06/08: I am currently on summer break from teaching. My weekday availability has been updated with more available times/ services. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my 2 dogs and an indoor cat. The pets have access to the entire unit including furniture during the day and when sleeping. Our spare bedroom can be used for your pet if they are more anxious and want separation from the other animals. My dogs are crated when no one is home to supervise, and the cat has full access to the unit at all times. My pets are all friendly towards other dogs and cats. In the past when sitting for animals, I have them fall into the same routines as my animals for walking, feeding, pottying, and crating, unless specified different by the owner. When doing drop ins and house sitting, I follow all instructions left by the owner.

I have taken k-9 basic obedience courses and have over a years worth of training and rehabilitating displaced dogs; some even with aggressive behaviors. About: I’ve taken care of many types of dogs for the last 10 years. I had 2 French mastiffs and 3 French bulldogs but recently lost 2 of them to old age. I am very well versed in caring for senior dogs (my frenchie passed when he was almost 15 and my French mastiff passed when he was 10). I love taking my dogs on walks, camping, river trips when they love to splash around! I currently work full time for Meals on Wheels but am fortunate enough to have a hybrid schedule. I work into the early afternoons. My weekends are generally free to devote time to caring for your pets and your home. I currently care for many pets in my own home including reptiles, invertebrates, fish, and a dog. I also love caring for plants. I am a very respectful and non judgement person. I wake up usually around 10 am but am comfortable waking up earlier if needed. I have my own dog and usually walk her when I wake up, again mid day, and once again before I leave for my optional night job. I also have tank lights and water dishes I check morning and night. About: I absolutely love animals! Being a college student, it is hard to get that time with animals so I would absolutely love to care for yours! I have had dogs and been around dogs all my life. I also have cared for cats on and off as well. I genuinely will care for the well-being of your pet and will do my absolute best to meet their needs. I currently have a job and am a college student but am able to stop in between classes, and even before/after work. I would enjoy the company during my breaks! I will ensure the pets have food and water when needed, dogs will be walked at least once in my care, I will make sure specific needs are met (ie. if pets have to be fed separately, medication, etc), and they will get lots of loves!
About: I’ve had the privilege to be around all sorts of animals since I was 2, all from Terriers to German Shepherds, cats, and different birds as well. I grew up with all sizes so I’m used to big dogs and small dogs. I’ve also raised two puppies of my own in the past 6 years and have also been around many older fur babies as well. I currently working full time Monday-Friday 8a-5p but I’d still love to care for your fur babies as long as we can workout a schedule that benefits both of us! My number one priority is to always make sure your pets are as comfortable as needed since it can be stressful enough for their humans to be gone. Whether it is lounging on the couch with them, taking them outside, or simply playing with toys with them I like to make sure to keep their routine as similar as they have with you.
