About: I was born with 2 Dachshunds in the family that I wrestled within my first years of learning to crawl and have lived with a dog most years of my life. I once had a Doberman Pincher whom I raised & turned into a service dog in the Air Force when I was given an overseas assignment and couldn't take him. For years I had a diabetic Chow Chow that I could leave in the back of a convertible car with the roof down on Hollywood Blvd by the Chinese Theater while I went to a show and knew the car and puppy would be as I left them hours earlier (Note: that was the 1990s... Hollywood Blvd. is a different animal now). I’ve tackled Pit Bulls mistaking my 5 lb. Chihuahua for a squirrel. I’ve crossed paths with multiple coyotes with my Chi’s in the Presidio & have great accuracy throwing rocks. I'm an IT engineer who works at home and sits long periods & my dogs absolutely motivate me to exercise with them daily and there are many places to do so in Dog City, USA! I've been working remotely and keep my pups with me. We exercise daily at the beach, Presidio or at any of the great parks in the area. We would go to Ocean Beach more often if not for all of the stinky stuff that washes up on shore that they just can't resist rolling around in (a dead walrus tops a skunk's stink by a mile) necessitating a bath(s).... in tomato juice? Safety is critical! I have a fenced yard which makes dogs possible in the city. They are never exposed to the street, so there’s zero chance of a mishap with escaping. I usually take my McNab/Border Collies (who were raised by Chihuahuas 😊) to Crissy Field, the Presidio, the Beach or Golden Gate dog park daily, so my dogs are quite social

About: I've cared for dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors for the past several years, including regularly watching a senior Shih Tzu — administering his medication and adjusting to his slower pace and specific needs. I also help care for my roommate's Blue Heeler, a high-energy breed that requires regular exercise and mental stimulation, so I'm comfortable with active, driven dogs as well as calmer, senior ones. I'm experienced with medical needs, multi-pet households, and adapting my approach to each pet's individual energy level and temperament — whether that means a brisk walk to burn off energy or a slow, patient stroll for an older dog. For medications I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops, and occasional injections as needed. I work full-time from home, which gives me flexibility to fit walks and visits into my day without needing a rigid schedule. I'm generally available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and can adjust my blocks as needed to accommodate your pet's routine. Thursdays I'm away from home for work, so I'm not available that day. But every other day of the week, there's usually a window that works. I take the time to meet every pet at their own comfort level — whether that means a slow, patient introduction for a shy or anxious animal, or matching the energy of a playful, high-drive dog. I'm respectful of both your pet's routine and your home, and I stay adaptive throughout our time together, adjusting my approach based on what each individual animal needs to feel safe and at ease.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats growing up my whole life. I’ve also worked in animal shelters and animal boarding facilities so I have experience with all types of dogs and cats. I love all types of animals! I have a full time job, but often only work short hours during the week. Flexible during the week and weekend on pet care. Just depends on the week! I’ve had pets my whole life so comfortable with all types/sizes/attitudes. Comfortable caring for any pet, and know each can be unique so feel most comfortable if you give me some tips and tricks specific to your furry friend!

About: My name is Eleanor and I live in San Francisco near the USF campus. I've been a lifelong dog lover, and previous dog owner. I work from home full-time, and am looking for an excuse to get out of the house and get some quality dog-time :) I no longer own a dog of my own, but I am experienced in obedience training, potty training, and dealing with reactive dogs. Looking forward to spending time with your pup! I currently work from home full-time, so I have time during the day to take your dog for a walk around the neighborhood, or a longer walk after work. I live with my partner (also a dog owner) in a one bedroom apartment. There isn't much space, but we love hiking, running, and being active so I'm happy to make sure your dog gets as much exercise as possible!

“Shihua was wonderful! This was my first time leaving my 8-month old kitten. As a new cat mom, I was pretty nervous. Shihua instantly put me at ease! She graciously came over a week early to meet Teddy. I could tell from the first interaction she had a true passion for care-taking. I got daily photos and videos. Shihua definitely has a kind and tender heart, sensing that I would miss Teddy terribly. She also sent updates on Teddy’s health as he recently finished a round of antibiotics. About: I have been pet sitting for over 10 years, and I have experience with various types and numbers of pets. I have personally owned cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, and hamsters! I was also a summer camp counselor at the SPCA for Monterey county, where I provided lessons to kids on responsible pet behavior, pet care, and prevent animal abuse and neglect. I am available to visit a pet multiple times a day or stay as a house sitter. I work a hybrid role in San Francisco; because I am required to work in person at least once a week, I cannot do house sits longer than 1 week unless your pet is okay at home during the workday. Due to my lease agreement, I cannot have a pet in my home. However, I'm happy to go visit a pet or stay overnight if needed.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life—golden retrievers, English cocker spaniels, labs, and Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers. I’ve helped raise them from puppies all the way through their senior years, so I’m comfortable with all stages of care. I enjoy going for walks in Golden Gate Park and the Panhandle, and I’d love to have a dog join me. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, which makes it easy for me to fit in walks, drop-ins, or pet sitting throughout the day. I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable and well taken care of. I give them plenty of attention, take them on walks, feed them, and make sure they’re doing great while you’re away.
