“Shihua was wonderful! This was my first time leaving my 8-month old kitten. As a new cat mom, I was pretty nervous. Shihua instantly put me at ease! She graciously came over a week early to meet Teddy. I could tell from the first interaction she had a true passion for care-taking. I got daily photos and videos. Shihua definitely has a kind and tender heart, sensing that I would miss Teddy terribly. She also sent updates on Teddy’s health as he recently finished a round of antibiotics. I felt safe leaving him in such confident and capable hands. I could not have asked for a better experience! Whole-heartedly recommend :)”

“Raeghan has become a regular cat sitter for my boys Bernie and Kai. She takes great care of them and loves them as if they’re her own kitties! Thank you, Raeghan, you’re the best!”

About: When I was 8, my family adopted a senior dog from Muttville named Lady. She was blind and deaf, and very high maintenance. I cared for her by helping make her food, carrying her up and down stairs, and gave her so much love up until she passed away. My family now owns a dog and a cat, and the care I learned from Lady now is implemented into my daily life with them both. Since discovering my love for animals, I have cared for my neighbors pets whenever they ask, and I always form a strong bond with each cat and dog on my street. I am available for any time throughout the week to care for your animals. I feed and walk my dog in the mornings, and play with my cat outside too! I make sure to spend a lot of time with the animals I look after, because I genuinely enjoy playing and forming a connection with them!
“Rocio was a wonderful caretaker for my dogs while I was out of the country. She was very solicitous in making sure that all care needs/expectations were clear well in advance, and based off her regular pics and visit updates, my dogs seemed to really enjoy seeing her every day!. I plan to contact Rocio first next time I need care support and would absolutely recommend Rocio for anyone on Rover”

“Elisa was really great with our 2 cats! Despite a few hiccups getting into our place due to issues on our end, she was very patient when we were trying to help her get access, and did a great job taking care of our boys. Will definitely rebook in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have always been very involved in caring for and working with them. My dad works with and trains police dogs, so I’ve been around dog handling and training for as long as I can remember. My own dog is trained in search and rescue, which has given me experience with active, high drive dogs and understanding canine behavior more deeply. I’m also involved in a research lab focused on olfaction in dogs, so animals are a huge part of both my personal life and academic interests. Because of this background, I’m very comfortable with different dog personalities, energy levels, routines, and handling styles, and I genuinely love spending time with them I’m currently home for the summer with a pretty flexible schedule, so I have lots of time for walks, playtime, drop-ins, and giving pets attention throughout the day. I’m an active person and love spending time with dogs, whether that’s walks, playing outside, or just hanging out and keeping them company. I’m also very responsive and good about sending updates and photos while you’re away :) I’ve been around dogs and dog training my entire life, so safety and understanding dog behavior are both very important to me. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I always pay close attention to routines, leash safety, body language, and making sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their environment. I also know how important trust and communication are, so I keep owners updated regularly and care for every pet like they’re my own.
About: My name is Eleanor and I live in San Francisco near the USF campus. I've been a lifelong dog lover, and previous dog owner. I work from home full-time, and am looking for an excuse to get out of the house and get some quality dog-time :) I no longer own a dog of my own, but I am experienced in obedience training, potty training, and dealing with reactive dogs. Looking forward to spending time with your pup! I currently work from home full-time, so I have time during the day to take your dog for a walk around the neighborhood, or a longer walk after work. I live with my partner (also a dog owner) in a one bedroom apartment. There isn't much space, but we love hiking, running, and being active so I'm happy to make sure your dog gets as much exercise as possible!
About: I’ve trained puppies/dogs of my own, and have taken care of senior dogs and cats. I believe in positive reinforcement methods only, and that pets are family. I work from home full-time and have flexibility for drop-in visits in the Richmond area. I generally request 24 hours of notice and am flexible on weekends. I treat every pet as if they were my own and prioritize safety, consistency, and communication. Before each booking, I take time to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the home environment, following feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication instructions, and any household guidelines. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I've been an animal lover my whole life! I grew up with fish and guinea pigs, and have had my cats since I was 8 years old! I've also volunteered at Muttville, and have experience taking care of other peoples' dogs. I'm comfortable administering oral medication and have some experience with injured animals. I work at a restaurant from tuesday through saturday in the late afternoons/evenings. I am able to care for animals from 8am-2pm, or after 9pm! I've cared for my own cats since they were kittens! My oldest I've had since I was 8 years old, and we got my second cat when I was 13, and I love them more than anything. I understand how important it is to trust that your pets are being well cared for, and I would love to meet them!

About: I grew up on a cattle farm in Alabama, so caring for animals is in my DNA. I live a very active lifestyle and know how to meet your pup exactly where they are, whether that’s a high-energy play session or run or a calm afternoon on the couch over a good book. Whether you’re working, traveling or just enjoying time with friends, giving your dog the love and care that they deserve requires a village. Let me be a part of that village by spoiling your family member with the warmth and attentiveness only an aunt could provide. My schedule is built around flexibility. I am an entrepreneur so dogs fit naturally into my day. Morning walks align with my gym routine, and I’m largely at home or local during the week. No rigid 9-to-5, which means your dog isn’t an afterthought squeezed into a lunch break. I adapt to you and your dog’s needs. I live near Golden Gate Park and an excellent dog park, so walks are always fun and never an afterthought.
“Abigail did a fantastic job caring for our cat, Kit. She is attentive, reliable, and clearly loves animals, which put us at ease while we were away. Our cat, who is very social, absolutely loved spending time with her, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for pet. I highly recommend Abigail to anyone looking for a compassionate and trustworthy sitter!”

About: Hey, I'm Taylor! Loving animals is not my whole personality, but it's close. I've been taking care of dogs big and small since I was a kid, and done more serious pet sitting and walking for friends & neighbors since 2017. Pictured is Wheezy, the love of my life: a half Boston Terrier half Pitty I rescued around 5 years ago and nursed back to health. Holler with any questions! I am a journalist and work weird hours! Generally available for afternoon and evening walks both week days and weekends on a case by case basis!. I have a fenced garden area where my pup loves to tromp around. I also live very close to Alamo Square Park, where we love to walk and play if you're comfortable with your pup being social. I've trained Wheezy to return when off-leash but never let other pups off leash without owner permission. In the home, I've got a large crate if needed.

“Angela took great care of my boys while I was away for a weekend trip. My doggies are usually pouty when I leave them for more than a few hours and they acted like I never left! Angela was also great with communication and very prompt to respond.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Presidio Heights
Lauren was an amazing sitter for my cat! He is a nervous cat who needs someone understanding to win him over and Lauren was that person. He warmed right up to her calm and gentle energy. Lauren was easy to communicate with and sent great photos and videos each day. Will definitely book her again :)

Martha is AMAZING! She went above and beyond, proactively asking to come early to meet our dog and learn about her before taking her out the first time. She had detailed questions, and then when she came back, gave us a full rundown. Our dog is not the best walker, and Martha gave us real training tips that WORKED to improve her walking for all of our sakes. I would 100% work with her again!
Sanaz did a wonderful job taking care of my kitty while I was away on vacation. She was extremely communicative, sent lot of pictures and updates and was even able to accommodate and extra visit when my flight was cancelled. Highly recommend her sitting services! Thank you Sanaz! 🌟

Hannah was great with my two days while I was out of town for 10 days! She was very responsive when I had questions and took the time to get to know my cats and their preferences, and did a good job maintaining their food area tidy as well. Would definitely book her again!!
