About: I've cared for dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors for the past several years, including regularly watching a senior Shih Tzu — administering his medication and adjusting to his slower pace and specific needs. I also help care for my roommate's Blue Heeler, a high-energy breed that requires regular exercise and mental stimulation, so I'm comfortable with active, driven dogs as well as calmer, senior ones. I'm experienced with medical needs, multi-pet households, and adapting my approach to each pet's individual energy level and temperament — whether that means a brisk walk to burn off energy or a slow, patient stroll for an older dog. For medications I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops, and occasional injections as needed. I work full-time from home, which gives me flexibility to fit walks and visits into my day without needing a rigid schedule. I'm generally available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and can adjust my blocks as needed to accommodate your pet's routine. Thursdays I'm away from home for work, so I'm not available that day. But every other day of the week, there's usually a window that works. I take the time to meet every pet at their own comfort level — whether that means a slow, patient introduction for a shy or anxious animal, or matching the energy of a playful, high-drive dog. I'm respectful of both your pet's routine and your home, and I stay adaptive throughout our time together, adjusting my approach based on what each individual animal needs to feel safe and at ease.

About: As a dog parent for over six years I believe pets are our family! Alongside raising my own dog Mazzi, I have spent countless hours caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. My care style balances routine and safety with lots of playfulness and love; I know that dogs feel their best when they know what to expect. I'm also very experienced with anxious dogs and dogs with medical care needs. I offer a safe and loving household and welcome any of your baby's quirks or extra needs :) I worked a hybrid full-time job, in the office Monday and Wednesday. On my work-from-home days I take the pups on a morning, afternoon and evening walk in the park. On the weekends we do the same, unless we go on a hike or to the beach! I live in an apartment one block from Golden Gate Park and the panhandle. My home is very dog friendly - they are allowed on the bed or couch, where ever they are comfortable. I'm happy to abide by any rules you prefer regarding house manners, crate time, etc. We have 1 dog in the house - my 6-year old female pup Mazzi. She is very submissive and loves other dogs.

I walk about five miles a day, so it’s easy and natural to walk a pup on my routes or welcome a dog into my home for boarding. My weekends are typically spent hiking, cooking, doing yoga, and enjoying the occasional concert - all very dog-friendly activities that allow me to stay active while making sure pets in my care get plenty of movement, enrichment, and attention! I prioritize safety, routine, and calm, attentive care. My home has a fully fenced yard and deck, giving dogs a secure space to go to the bathroom, relax, and enjoy outdoor time (especially squirrel and bird watching!). I love long walks and tailor activity levels to each dog’s needs. My own dog had double TPLO surgery at a young age, which gave me extensive hands on experience administering medications, monitoring recovery, and being especially attentive to physical and emotional cues. I’m naturally observant and cautious, and I’m good at reading dog body language — stepping in early if a dog feels unsure or overwhelmed and helping facilitate safe, positive interactions. “Martha did an incredible job being a dog chaperone for Charlie during our civil marriage ceremony in SF City Hall! We were just doing the quick ceremony then photos for a couple of hours ahead of our bigger international wedding later, but we really wanted Charlie to be involved while not being a distraction to us, the photographer, the officiant, or the few guests we had coming from across the country. Martha did an amazing job keeping Charlie entertained, and she was great at reading the room and knowing when to be close by with Charlie or step away a bit if Charlie seemed to be getting antsy or bored. I didn’t give her any instructions really (definitely could’ve planned better on my part!) yet the whole experience felt smooth because Martha was very attentive to both Charlie’s needs and moods and the overall situation. While Charlie is a huge people person, he can definitely get grumpy and bored being in the same place doing nothing, but Martha kept him in such a good mood that he was smiling and cooperative any time we needed him for pictures. She also took some amazing solo shots of Charlie, which we will treasure forever!”
