“Kim was the perfect caretaker for Matcha. Our cat has the relentless energy of an Australian Shepherd and could play all day. Unlike many, I could tell Kim genuinely played with her. I giggled at every action shot or cute snuggle photo he sent me. I came home to a happy cat, and I’m so thankful. Will definitely be leaning on him for future visits!”

“Taylor was fantastic. She did drop one for my dog 2 days in a row. She even came over to meet him ahead of time bc i was a little nervous (he had recently had surgery and was still in come/recovery suit). Would highly recommend and rebook.”

About: I rescued a puppy in 2010, trained him, walked him daily, and loved him unconditionally through his energetic puppy phase, teen angst (not actually because he was always happy), adulthood, and silver sunset senior days. He lived a happy and healthy 14 years, and now I am joining Rover to continue my care for dogs until I feel ready to adopt a new puppy. I have boarded several family and friend's dogs in the past since they know I am responsible, active, and trustworthy! I work from home (fully remote) so would never leave your pet during the workday to commute to an office. I have a very flexible schedule so I can easily take your pet out to go to the bathroom and walk whenever. I live within walking distance of the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park. I also have a fenced backyard, so I have access to plenty of places to walk dogs. I live on the garden level of a Victorian home, so it is very easy for me to take the dog outside. I would let your dog roam freely around my 2 bedroom unit, but don't allow dogs on the couch or bed.
“Martha did an incredible job being a dog chaperone for Charlie during our civil marriage ceremony in SF City Hall! We were just doing the quick ceremony then photos for a couple of hours ahead of our bigger international wedding later, but we really wanted Charlie to be involved while not being a distraction to us, the photographer, the officiant, or the few guests we had coming from across the country. Martha did an amazing job keeping Charlie entertained, and she was great at reading the room and knowing when to be close by with Charlie or step away a bit if Charlie seemed to be getting antsy or bored. I didn’t give her any instructions really (definitely could’ve planned better on my part!) yet the whole experience felt smooth because Martha was very attentive to both Charlie’s needs and moods and the overall situation. While Charlie is a huge people person, he can definitely get grumpy and bored being in the same place doing nothing, but Martha kept him in such a good mood that he was smiling and cooperative any time we needed him for pictures. She also took some amazing solo shots of Charlie, which we will treasure forever!”

“Denise was an awesome rover - she was able to confirm a sit at the very last minute, sent a ton of pictures, followed instructions well, played with my cat a lot, and was super flexible. Would absolutely have her do drop-ins again!”

“Anna treated my 4year old high energy golden retriever like family. She asked details about his play style and any possible triggers before she came to my house to sit for him for a few hours. She took pics and video all throughout. I knew he was in good hands. Will book her again without a shadow of a doubt.”

About: I grew up on a cattle farm in Alabama, so caring for animals is in my DNA. I live a very active lifestyle and know how to meet your pup exactly where they are, whether that’s a high-energy play session or run or a calm afternoon on the couch over a good book. Whether you’re working, traveling or just enjoying time with friends, giving your dog the love and care that they deserve requires a village. Let me be a part of that village by spoiling your family member with the warmth and attentiveness only an aunt could provide. My schedule is built around flexibility. I am an entrepreneur so dogs fit naturally into my day. Morning walks align with my gym routine, and I’m largely at home or local during the week. No rigid 9-to-5, which means your dog isn’t an afterthought squeezed into a lunch break. I adapt to you and your dog’s needs. I live near Golden Gate Park and an excellent dog park, so walks are always fun and never an afterthought.

About: I grew up with 5 cats and two dogs, but alas, I cannot take one in permanently. I would love to connect and care for your animal! I have taken care of my own pets and others since I was a young girl. I have worked with kittens, puppies, senior furry friends, and more! I am available all day Friday-Monday. I work part-time in affordable housing and can ensure that when I am with your lovely pet, my undivided attention will be all in. I am conveniently located, nestled near four different parks. I can take long walks, play fetch, or just relax at home. I can offer a dignified, loving, and considerate playhouse for your animal.
“Robert did an incredible job taking care of my cats. He was responsive, kind and most of all both my kitties like him! I cannot recommend him enough for cat sitting!”

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats within my family since the early age of 12 years old. Ever since, I have built a big love for caring for fur babies of all kinds☺️ I know how much your fur baby/babies mean to you, and I’ll make sure to treat them as well as my own☺️🙏🏽 I’m currently doing freelance photography, so my schedule is pretty flexible to work with you. My services will be available any time from 11am onwards every day of the week for dog walking and drop-in visits. I can be available 24/7 for house sitting with at least a day in advance notice. Looking forward to working with you and your fur baby/babies🐶🐈☺️✨ Side note: Soon to be GoodPup Dog Training certified and offer dog training to my services!🐕✨ I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. Regarding dog walking, I make it a priority to be aware of our surroundings. Whether that be cars driving or other dogs walking, I’m always on the lookout to assure your fur baby’s safety🙏🏽 In terms of drop-in visits and house sitting at your home, you can feel free to communicate and make me aware of any safety precautions I need to know about, and I’ll make sure to abide to them😌🙏🏽 I understand your fur baby’s safety is your #1 priority, and it will also be mine🙏🏽✨
“Anita was great! She came over before hand to meet Cabo and myself. She was very responsive and great with communication. Will definitely be using her in the future!”

About: Growing up I had the joy of caring for my childhood dog Snowball. From daily walks, playtime, feeding, and training I learned early on how to care for dogs with patience, love, and responsibility. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for animals, and it’s what motivates me to give every dog in my care the same kind of attention and affection. As someone who works from home full-time, I’m able to give pets in my care plenty of attention. My flexible schedule allows for regular walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime without the long gaps that can come with a traditional in office 9-to-5. I structure my day around the needs of the pets I’m caring for, making sure they feel comfortable, engaged, and well looked after. When caring for pets in a client’a home, I will treat their space with the same respect I’d expect in my own. I stick closely to your pet’s usual routine to keep them feeling secure whether that means specific feeding times, daily walks, or play sessions. I will also keep you updated with photos/messages so that you know your pet is happy and safe. My goal is to make sure your pet is comfortable, stress free, and well cared for the in the place they know best-their home.
About: I have experience with all sorts of temperaments and needs! I’m on the board of a husky rescue and so I regularly take rescue dogs out to events, in addition to providing socialization and training. I have two huskies who I got when they were both 8 weeks old, so I have lots of puppy experience as well. I’ve also cared for other kinds of big dogs, like pit bulls. One of my dogs is a therapy dog, so I’ve received training in recognizing stress signals in dogs. I can be sure to read your dog’s emotions carefully to ensure they have a very safe and happy time with me! I’m also happy to do a meet and greet beforehand. I love to hike and run so I can get your dog as much exercise as you want! My availability reflects when I’m free to give your pets all my attention! I’ll make sure to spend all the time booked maximally engaging your animal so they feel loved and played with by the end of our tome. Given I live in a home with a puppy and cats, I am practiced at being mindful around ensuring cats are safely distanced before opening doors to the outside. I also can make sure that everything is put away before leaving if your pet is left free roaming before I go. As a fellow pet owner, I really care about following your instructions in every detail!
“Thanks so much for watching our Soybean and Juni for the past two weeks! Kali has now sat for us twice and we have both times had a great experience. Our older cat some medications which Kali was able to help with. Also, Kali was great with asking any questions which showed she cared for our cats as if they were her own. With each visit she gave us updates and very cute pictures. She truly helped us enjoy our vacation!”

“Shanna has been walking my pup for many months now and she is always prompt and sends the best photos!! My dog absolutely loves her and she went above and beyond staying extra time when my lock unexpectedly broke. She is the best!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, I grew up in a home full of love for them — we rescued, fostered, and supported local shelters. It was never something we thought about, it was just how we lived ❤️ I know exactly what it feels like to leave your dog behind and wonder if they're okay. That feeling is exactly why I give my whole heart to every pup in my care. I love walks, playtime, and all the silly in-between moments — and as a photographer, I have a soft spot for capturing those too 📸 Your dog is family and I'll treat them that way 🥰. My availability is flexible and I'm always open to chatting and figuring out whatever works best for you and your pet. Every situation is different and I get that, so just reach out and we'll work it out together :) When I visit your home, my priority is simple — that your pet feels safe, loved, and at ease in their own space. I respect their routine, their rules, and everything that makes them feel comfortable, because I know that's what matters most. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout the visit, so you can relax and enjoy your time knowing they're in good hands. And before any first booking, I always love meeting your pet in person — it's important to me that we all feel comfortable with each other. I treat every home and every animal with the same care and respect I'd want for my own.
About: Hi! I’m Chelsea, a reliable and detail-oriented dog lover based in Haight-Ashbury, surrounded by some of San Francisco’s best parks and walking routes (Panhandle, Buena Vista, Alamo Square, and Duboce). I work fully remote at a global tech company, so your dog will get plenty of attention, structure, and companionship throughout the day. I also have a fully fenced backyard, go on multiple walks daily, am comfortable administering medications, and prioritize routine, safety, and clear communication so your dog feels happy, secure, and well cared for. I also have a bike and car to easily do dog walks in nearby neighborhoods! Pet care is already a central part of my daily life. I’ve been working from home for several years (I work in HR for a global tech company), which gives me the flexibility to build my schedule around regular walks, playtime, and attentive care. I walk about five miles a day, so it’s easy and natural to walk a pup on my routes or welcome a dog into my home for boarding. My weekends are typically spent hiking, cooking, doing yoga, and enjoying the occasional concert - all very dog-friendly activities that allow me to stay active while making sure pets in my care get plenty of movement, enrichment, and attention! I prioritize safety, routine, and calm, attentive care. My home has a fully fenced yard and deck, giving dogs a secure space to go to the bathroom, relax, and enjoy outdoor time (especially squirrel and bird watching!). I love long walks and tailor activity levels to each dog’s needs. My own dog had double TPLO surgery at a young age, which gave me extensive hands on experience administering medications, monitoring recovery, and being especially attentive to physical and emotional cues. I’m naturally observant and cautious, and I’m good at reading dog body language — stepping in early if a dog feels unsure or overwhelmed and helping facilitate safe, positive interactions. Whether in my home or yours, I treat every dog with patience, respect, and thoughtful care.

“Nicole really went above and beyond caring for our 3 (very needy and attention hungry!) cats. She was easy to communicate with and reliable, but what we appreciated the most was that she spent extra time beyond the minimum required by Rover hanging out with them. She sent plenty of updates with photos and videos letting us know they were in good hands, and even administered oral medication to one of our cats. We will definitely be reaching out to Nicole for future cat sitting as well as recommending her to anyone who needs care for their pets!”

About: Nice to meet you! I am a lifelong lover of animals, and have always had pets of my own. I have years of experience volunteering at the Humane Society, in addition to pet sitting for neighbors and family friends. I understand that it is nerve-wracking to leave our pets, and I welcome the responsibility and privilege that comes along with caring for these special creatures. I am comfortable with administering any medications needed, as well as walking and socializing the animals to ensure they maintain their routines and feel at ease. Every animal is unique, with their own habits, preferences and comfort levels with new people. I understand the importance of paying attention to their queues and adapting to their needs. Our pets are our family, and I will treat yours as just that. I have a very flexible schedule! I am available during the week days and weekends to come by and spend meaningful time with your fur babies, take them on walks, and can make twice daily visits to give them their food, clean litter boxes and administer any medicines needed. If your pet has additional needs, I am happy to work together to create a schedule that accommodates them. As a proud cat parent of two very sweet and energetic cats who have a pension for plastic and hair ties, I understand that many of our pets have their own quirks. I will be diligent in ensuring that the little (or big) ones do not get into anything that is not meant for them. And if you enjoy pictures of your pets while on a trip, I will be their personal photographer!

Highly recommend Natalie for kitty-sitting. She is thorough, attentive, and somehow won over my ultra-shy kitty! I received updates and tons of pictures of Natalie cleaning litter, refilling food and water, and playing with the kitties. She also went above and beyond to accommodate a key handoff while I was out of town. Thank you Natalie!!

Cameron has done drop in visits for my 2 cats twice now and it’s been very good. My cats both like her which is not always the case for them. She gives updates and always accommodates any requests I have. She has also brought in packages for me and cleans around the litter box and food bowls which is nice. I’d definitely recommend Cameron and book again

Beiqi took great care of Gouda and Cheshire while we were away. It was clear they were well looked after, and we really appreciated the regular photo updates—they gave us real peace of mind. We’d be happy to have Beiqi look after them again and would definitely recommend them to others.

David has watched our cats couple of times now - most recently this past Friday, July 10th—and we cannot recommend him highly enough. He takes incredible care of our cats, ensuring they are happy, comfortable, and well-attended to every single visit. Beyond being a fantastic pet sitter, David is exceptionally observant and proactive with home care. During a previous visit, he noticed a few fruit flies starting to appear in the kitchen and, on his own initiative, set up an apple cider vinegar trap. Because of his quick thinking, the issue was caught early and completely managed by the time we got home. It is rare to find a sitter who is equally dedicated to the well-being of your pets and the maintenance of your home. We always return to very happy cats and a perfectly kept house. If you are looking for someone responsible, proactive, and genuinely caring, hire David!
Kelly was an amazing watcher for Tyson during his time. I have a very fussy Chihuahua and only certain people and women with a good energy will allow him to thrive & give him the right space. He is also a little bit of an elderly Chihuahua so the special care she gave when he couldn’t see and his vitamins and food, as well as creating comfortable accommodations for him like letting him sleep in the bed was super helpful. She’s super responsible and communicative and quick to respond when I needed someone urgent! Tyson loves Kelli!!
