About: I was born with 2 Dachshunds in the family that I wrestled within my first years of learning to crawl and have lived with a dog most years of my life. I once had a Doberman Pincher whom I raised & turned into a service dog in the Air Force when I was given an overseas assignment and couldn't take him. For years I had a diabetic Chow Chow that I could leave in the back of a convertible car with the roof down on Hollywood Blvd by the Chinese Theater while I went to a show and knew the car and puppy would be as I left them hours earlier (Note: that was the 1990s... Hollywood Blvd. is a different animal now). I’ve tackled Pit Bulls mistaking my 5 lb. Chihuahua for a squirrel. I’ve crossed paths with multiple coyotes with my Chi’s in the Presidio & have great accuracy throwing rocks. I'm an IT engineer who works at home and sits long periods & my dogs absolutely motivate me to exercise with them daily and there are many places to do so in Dog City, USA! I've been working remotely and keep my pups with me. We exercise daily at the beach, Presidio or at any of the great parks in the area. We would go to Ocean Beach more often if not for all of the stinky stuff that washes up on shore that they just can't resist rolling around in (a dead walrus tops a skunk's stink by a mile) necessitating a bath(s).... in tomato juice? Safety is critical! I have a fenced yard which makes dogs possible in the city. They are never exposed to the street, so there’s zero chance of a mishap with escaping. I usually take my McNab/Border Collies (who were raised by Chihuahuas 😊) to Crissy Field, the Presidio, the Beach or Golden Gate dog park daily, so my dogs are quite social

About: I grew up caring daily for my two shepherd/husky mixed dogs, who have unfortunately now passed away from old age. I raised them from puppies, so I have some experience with puppies and basic training. I also have experience dog-sitting for pit bull mixes as I’ve taken care of my aunt’s pittie mix on multiple occasions, including multiple overnights. I’m also comfortable caring for smaller dogs, and have experience with terrier mixes and pugs. I’m available all day every Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs so I can be flexible to meet your needs! On Fridays and weekends, I’m available only in the evening. I’m happy to learn how to meet your pet’s individual needs, whether that means extra playtime for your puppy or a little patience with your scaredy cat.

About: For the past 10 years, my daily life has been closely connected with caring for and working with animals. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs of different breeds, as well as hedgehogs, ferrets, sugar gliders, various rodents, and dozens of species of amphibians and reptiles. I have experience with animals with different personalities, needs, and care requirements, and I always strive to provide them with a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. I also spent several years working at a zoo with raccoons, where I was responsible for raising and training them. This experience taught me a great deal about animal behavior, patience, and building trust with animals. I have completed training in nutrition for cats and dogs, as well as training in the prevention and treatment of internal and external parasites. I currently share my home with two wonderful and well-mannered rescue cats, who are very much a part of my family. I would be absolutely delighted to care for your pet! I understand how important it is to leave your animal in the hands of someone you can trust, and I will treat your pet with the same care, patience, attention, and love that I give to my own animals. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time at home. I offer both drop-in visits at clients’ homes and boarding in my home, seven days a week. I’m available for visits on both weekdays and weekends, and I welcome cats for boarding throughout the week. On weekends, I may be away from home for approximately 6–8 hours due to work. Because of this, cats staying with me on weekends should be comfortable being alone for this amount of time. I only board cats in my home because it’s important to me that all the animals feel safe and comfortable. For longer stays, I welcome pet-friendly cats who are comfortable sharing a home with other cats. My home is a very enriching environment for cats, with plenty of toys, tunnels, cat houses, and cozy hiding spots where they can retreat and have some privacy whenever they need it. I also keep a variety of amphibians, and many cats absolutely love watching the activity around the terrariums, it’s basically their own personal cat TV! 🐱 My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment where your cat can relax, play, explore, and feel at home while you’re away. When I visit pets in their own home, all care is tailored to their individual needs, routine, and preferences. Visits include feeding, refreshing water, general pet care, walks when needed, and playtime if the pet feels comfortable interacting with me. If needed, I can also administer medications and provide basic grooming, such as brushing and nail trimming. I always make sure to follow your instructions and keep your pet’s usual routine as consistent and stress-free as possible.
