“Henri had a great weekend at Paulina’s! She came out to greet us and then took the leash and introduced Henri to her home-he was so comfortable with her from the start. Our dog has hardly been away from us in his 7 years and I was a little nervous about leaving him with someone new, but I soon realized I had nothing to worry about. Paulina is a very relaxed person and sent updates and adorable photos each day. It made me happy to see him look so at home with her. Don’t let her lack of a backyard discourage you-Henri was happy and tired when we picked him up. We will call on her whenever we need a dog sitter for when we visit our daughter in SF. Paulina was an absolute lifesaver and we are so happy to have found her!”

About: I have been taking care of the family pet since I was 5 years old taking them for walks, feeding and making sure they were hydrated. More recently (11years ago) Missy joined the family and she is a princess requiring fresh home made meals, 2-3 walks per day, and teeth brushing every night before bed. I can take care of your loving pet as I would Missy if they require it. I am currently a working from home most days and have the flexibility to visit with your pets or walk them as needed. If they want to relax more or play more I can accommodate. I have a fenced backyard with a large space available if needed. Pets are allowed on the couch and bed or if they prefer the carpet that is perfectly fine.

About: I'm a communications professional for 30 years now, so it comes natural for me to share with pet owners every milestone of any day they're apart from their pets and trusting me with their care. For 20 years, I've cared for my friend's dogs, cats, and chickens in the Bay Area just for the fun of it. Now I'd like to open my experience and hope it will lead to more travel when I retire in a few year. Also, I have a veterinarian friend on speed dial. I've never had to call in an emergency. But I could! I work from home most days. I write, so I sit at my desk and I don't move much. I love having a cat on the desk or a well-exercised dog in their bed waiting for my next move. I go downtown twice a week, but I have a retired neighbor who volunteers at Animal Control and the SF Zoo who is nuts about dog-walking to fill-in for noontime walks. I like to treat all pets like they're my own, with a little extra in an auntie kind of way. I am an expert Kong-stuffer and a tug of war extremist, with a nice car that I don't mind getting hairy or muddy. Poo and litter are not things I shy away from. I love the smell of pet feet.

About: Hi! I’m an experienced foster dog parent and Rover dog sitter. I have fostered four dogs, each for up to two months at a time. I currently have no foster pup and don’t have a resident dog, so your dog will be the only dog in my home. I have experience fostering both younger and senior dogs (including hospice care, partially deaf and blind dogs). I work from home so your dog will seldom be alone, and can take them on walks every 4 hours (4 walks a day) with lots of play time. I am also in a very dog-friendly area, minutes from GGP and Mountain Lake Park. I never take dogs to dog parks and do everything to make your dog feel at home! NOTE: Due to my building’s weight limits I can only board dogs 15lbs or under. I work from home which gives me the flexibility to give your dog lots of attention and ample availability to walk or visit your dog throughout the day! With my attentiveness and experience, I make sure your dog has a fun, safe time with me. I avoid other dogs and children. I always keep dogs on leash during walks, and I don’t go to dog parks/off leash areas.

Ever since I was brought home from the hospital, I’ve been surrounded by dogs and have always considered them part of the family. My parents adopted my soul dog, Millie, a German Shepherd featured in my photos. I have a senior cat back home who decided I was her person, and she now spends her days interrupting my reading sessions whenever she feels it's time for some extra attention. I am mindful of weather conditions, a pet's energy level, and their comfort around other animals and people. Pets will remain leashed during walks unless they are in a secure, fenced area such as a backyard or dog park, and only with the owner's approval and when I feel confident it is appropriate for that individual pet. I also make it a habit to double-check gates, doors, and other potential escape routes, especially for curious pets and known escape artists. My goal is to provide a fun, enriching, and safe experience while helping pets feel comfortable, confident, and cared for while you're away.

About: When I was 8, my family adopted a senior dog from Muttville named Lady. She was blind and deaf, and very high maintenance. I cared for her by helping make her food, carrying her up and down stairs, and gave her so much love up until she passed away. My family now owns a dog and a cat, and the care I learned from Lady now is implemented into my daily life with them both. I ensure the pets safety, follow any feeding/ medication schedule while providing a fun and safe space for your dog/cat and ensuring your dog/cat is given the most attention and good care while also getting a healthy exercise. I will make your pet feel comfortable and well cared for and would provide an engaging experience. I currently have open availability for the summer, since I work for the school district. I am available Monday-Sunday in the morning, day, and evening. I am committing to dog walking, dog sitting, and cat sitting and I do live in close proximity to the Presidio and Crissy Field which is a great location I would be happy to take your dog to.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and caring for them has always felt natural to me. Growing up, I had Cocker Spaniels, a Himalayan cat, and a Siberian Husky, and later had three cats of my own with very different personalities that I adored. Animals—especially cats—tend to gravitate toward me, and I’ve always had a strong, intuitive connection with them. Over the past year, I’ve also been helping care for my boss’s dog, Maisie. From potty training to long hikes and overnight stays, I’ve loved being part of her routine. I’m active and usually go on long hikes in the mornings, so I’m always happy to bring a dog along for exercise and fresh air! I offer check-ins, overnight care, and boarding for cats and small dogs (especially hypoallergenic and potty-trained pups). I treat every animal with love, patience, and genuine care—my goal is always to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. My schedule is pretty open, except Thursdays, I work a job all day Thursdays, but any other time I’m pretty flexible! I love to take the dogs for walks in the presidio or around heron lake. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or theirs, I focus on creating a calm, loving, and safe environment where they can feel comfortable and at ease. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible—mealtimes, walks, playtime, and any special needs—so they feel secure and cared for even when their owners are away. At my home, I make sure it’s quiet, clean, and cozy, especially for cats or small dogs. I only board one pet (or one family of pets) at a time to make sure they get my full attention and aren’t overwhelmed. I’m especially careful about keeping things tidy and safe, and I always provide plenty of affection, enrichment, and exercise—whether that’s a walk, a hike, or a good play session. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and routines, and I treat their pets like my own. Whether I’m doing drop-in visits or overnight stays, I make sure pets feel loved, relaxed, and well cared for until their humans return.
About: I was born onto a ranch with goats, chickens, a cat, and a whole bunch of dogs. Throughout my childhood, we also took in dogs through the foster care system which allowed me to experience dogs from all different sizes, ages, and temperaments. In college, I dog sat multiple times for a week - 2 weeks at a time. I always have been respectful of the space I am in and will send you pictures and updates so you know your loved one is safe and healthy. I am very comfortable with young dog training/care. I am fully available during the day time, I work part time in the evening, and am available overnight. My evening work will only keep me away from 2-4 hours maximum. I care for any pet as if it is my own. I will feed your pet at the times you request. I love to take dogs out on walks, in any environment that suits your dog. I do very well with high energy and playful dogs as I have one of my own. I will also be there to give your dog cuddles and love while you can't.

About: Shelby grew up with Labrador retrievers ever since she was 5 years old. She has experience with medication administration, ear cleaning, walking, and more. We have a 2.5 year old dachshund who we crate, potty, and leash trained. We are both dog lovers with some of our friends saying Shelby is “the most dog obsessed person I’ve ever met.” We will strive to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible while respecting any rules and boundaries you have in your own home. We absolutely love every kind of dog and would give your fur baby 5 star care ⭐️ We both work from home, so our schedules are very flexible. We take our dog out 3 times a day for potty breaks and several walks a day. We can really take your dog out whenever is needed, as one of us is always available. Our home is very, very dog proof. Our dog loves to eat everything so we’re very mindful of keeping things tidy. Especially with larger dogs, we put away our dogs smaller toys, so that there’s no possibility of them being ingested (there’s the labrador experience haha!) we will be around and loving your pet 24/7 while they’re in our care ❤️
