Compassionate Cat Lover & Caretaker
I've had cats my whole life and have always loved caring for them! Feeding, playing, lots of pets, and cleaning - I will do it all! I am a former SFSPCA volunteer. That training allowed me to become comfortable with cats of all ages and personalities. I have worked with newborn kittens, extremely shy and anxious cats, and cats who have nervous tendencies around unfamiliar people. No matter who your cat is, I will provide them with care that allows them feel as comfortable as possible. I have experience caring for diabetic cats and can check and interpret blood sugar levels, administer insulin, and deal with hypoglycemic episodes. I am also comfortable administering subcutaneous injections and oral medication via syringe.

I will care for your pets by following all instructions and routines that they are accustomed to. Whether it be through their feeding schedules, preferred toys and treats, or by giving them the space they need to get comfortable, I strive to give every pet the best experience possible when their parents are away.

Miriam is the best! This was the first time I left my kittens alone overnight and I felt completely at ease knowing Miriam was visiting that evening and morning. You can tell how much she loves animals - my somewhat shy cats instantly took to her! She followed the directions perfectly (one kitten is a picky eater!) and even went beyond, sending lots of photos and leaving detailed notes on the app. I feel so lucky to have found her - I will definitely re-book!
Miriam was fantastic with our needy kitties including the one who tends to be shy and pouty and hide whenever we’re away. The daily reports showed happy cats and lots of play and interaction. Reliable and considerate!

Very grateful for Miriam’s great care of my cats! She was very flexible as I worked out what would be best for Peanut’s care / meds. She also made a point to check on our shy one (always hiding) and that he ate.
Miriam was wonderful with our cats while we were away for 2 weeks! She followed our care instructions perfectly. She was punctual and dependable, we received daily updates and photos from her. After the first few updates, we knew our cats were in good hands and we were able to enjoy our time away and not worry about them. Miriam provided plenty of play and TLC. One of our cats took some time to warm up, but Miriam gave her space and gently, persistently worked on befriending her. Both our cats warmed up to her by the end of the visit. We came back to a clean litterbox and happy cats, thanks to Miriam. We'll definitely book her again for future trips. Thank you Miriam!!

Schedule
Outside of cat care, I am a freelance trombonist and music educator in the Bay Area, and I'd love to care for your pets between my rehearsals, performances, and lessons. My flexible schedule generally allows for care at any time of the day and as often as needed. At this time, I cannot commit to specific time requests unless needed for medical reasons. I will do my very best to have your visit within +/- 90 minutes of your request time and will work with you to fit your pet's needs into my schedule! The summer season and November-January is when I am the most flexible with scheduling.
