“Natalie was an excellent new cat sitter for me and my kitty!!! she offered to come over a few days before for key pickup and to meet my cat. her report was thorough and included many photos. Natalie is super responsive and I will request her services again!”

About: Nice to meet you! I am a lifelong lover of animals, and have always had pets of my own. I have years of experience volunteering at the Humane Society, in addition to pet sitting for neighbors and family friends. I understand that it is nerve-wracking to leave our pets, and I welcome the responsibility and privilege that comes along with caring for these special creatures. I am comfortable with administering any medications needed, as well as walking and socializing the animals to ensure they maintain their routines and feel at ease. Every animal is unique, with their own habits, preferences and comfort levels with new people. I understand the importance of paying attention to their queues and adapting to their needs. Our pets are our family, and I will treat yours as just that. I have a very flexible schedule! I am available during the week days and weekends to come by and spend meaningful time with your fur babies, take them on walks, and can make twice daily visits to give them their food, clean litter boxes and administer any medicines needed. If your pet has additional needs, I am happy to work together to create a schedule that accommodates them. As a proud cat parent of two very sweet and energetic cats who have a pension for plastic and hair ties, I understand that many of our pets have their own quirks. I will be diligent in ensuring that the little (or big) ones do not get into anything that is not meant for them. And if you enjoy pictures of your pets while on a trip, I will be their personal photographer!

About: Ive grown up with dogs since I was 12 years old in the south. Many of my friends and family have dogs - I always do informal training and give long walks. I’m exploring getting or fostering a dog in the future and wanted to get involved here as a first step! I’m currently searching for jobs so have a lot of flexibility throughout the week. Walks and check ins will be preferred but eventually will consider overnight care. I hope to find regular dog parks for your pup to be known at. I like to understand house rules for your dog(s), places they are most comfortable and places that trigger them. I always make sure there is water available and to lock doors behind me.
About: I’m a 42-year-old gay dog lover who recently said goodbye to my own pup after 13 incredible years together. Caring for my dog has always been one of the best parts of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know every breed, quirk, zoomie level, and cuddle style out there. Pet care has been part of my daily routine for years. I recently lost my dog after 13 wonderful years together, and before that we took at least three walks a day — everything from quick neighborhood strolls to longer adventures exploring different parts of San Francisco together. I genuinely miss having a little shadow by my side, so caring for and walking dogs still feels like a natural and meaningful part of my everyday life. I love getting to know each dog’s personality, energy, and favorite routines. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in both my home and theirs. I follow each dog’s routine closely — including walks, feeding, medications, playtime, and cuddle preferences — while giving them plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and calm energy. I also love sending photo updates so owners know their pups are happy and well cared for.
“Dalara was super responsive and adapted to a bit of a curve ball at the last minute. We appreciate her and her husband checking on our old pup while we were visiting Baltimore from out of town and sending lots of photos. She gave me total peace of mind. Will definitely use her again if we’re in the area.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life! Love being around dogs, whether it be playing and running or just chilling on the couch. Recently moved to a place where I can’t have pets, so caring for other people’s fur babies is the next best thing! I work a full time desk job, so I have plenty of energy to play, run around, and be active with dogs throughout the day. They give me an excuse to get away from my desk! Years and years of caring for dogs has given me the experience of identifying the comfort level of animals. I am honest and trustworty. I want to keep my regulars and want them to trust that I will care for their precious animals.
“Anna treated my 4year old high energy golden retriever like family. She asked details about his play style and any possible triggers before she came to my house to sit for him for a few hours. She took pics and video all throughout. I knew he was in good hands. Will book her again without a shadow of a doubt.”

About: Caring for animals is something I take seriously and genuinely enjoy. I had a beloved cat for 15 years and a dog for 11, and those relationships taught me how to provide steady, attentive, and loving care. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and focused on making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. I also understand the importance of trust and discretion when entering someone’s home, and I honor that fully. I provide reliable, consistent, and attentive care, and keep my schedule well-managed to ensure each pet gets the attention they deserve. I work full-time Tuesday through Saturday and am available for pet care from Saturday after 7:30 PM until Tuesday at 8:30 AM. I approach caring for pets in your home with a lot of respect for both your space and your pet’s emotional well-being. I maintain their normal routines, pay attention to their cues, and create a calm, safe environment where they can relax. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and discreet, and I keep you updated so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: After losing my beloved Border Collie, Kato, after 14 years together, I reflected on the stress and worry I always had when trying to find boarding. I understand all dogs have different needs and quirks, and letting a strange person take care of your pet pet in a new environment can be worrisome. I always felt more comfortable with my boy in home with no other dogs, and now that he is gone, I want to offer that to others as well. I have dog-sat for family and friends over the years--a Jack Russell, labs, basset hound, golden retrievers, chihuahuas, and huskies--and they all end up loving me. I think it is my general calm energy and positive reinforcement philosophy. I grew up with a Border Collie, and when I got my driver's license, he decided I was his new #1 in the home (probably from the car rides we would take). I have probably watched every episode of It's Me or The Dog on YouTube/Animal Planet multiple times, and I taken that positive reinforcement philosophy forward with my own research, and I use that approach with my dog and every dog interaction I have. Know that your dog will be in a calm and secure place with me. Currently volunteering at the SF SPCA. I am currently working part-time from home, so I will have plenty of time to look after your pup. I used to bring my dog to a local dog-friendly bar, but I will not be bringing your dog there unless you request it specifically. I live in an apartment in the Castro, so walks in the neighborhood are easy. If they have issues with cars or busy streets, I can walk them up hill towards the dog park which is very quiet. I have a large dog crate if you would like me to use it during their stay, so you don't need to bring your own. No yard, but there's a big, open, gated, parking area that me and some neighbors use for quick fetch sessions. (Let me know if you need parking while you are away.) There is an unfenced dog park up the hill from my apt less than half a mile, and a dog fenced dog park all the way at the top. I have a car, so if they are older or have health issues, I can always drive to either of those parks or anywhere else.
“Michelle is a treasurer. I am so glad I found her. She looked after my elderly dog Asher and my cat Levi for a week while I was away. I felt very assured that they were both well taken care of. I highly recommend Michelle and I certainly will use her again!”

About: I have had pets al of my life (many cats and dogs, both small and large). I have eaten many a meal with a cat on the dinner table (bad, I know). I can play with the dog, or chill with the cat. I also enjoy long walks and watching tv, so I can do whatever the pet wants to do. I am currently working part time at a wine bar and searching for a job in the esthetics world (I just graduated school). I am free during the day and most evenings. I care for any pet like it’s my own. I will feed regularly and clean the litter box when needed. I am also a LitterRobot owner so I am proficient in cleaning it, or ‘fixing it’. I have many toys for my cat to use, but they only just look at them…
About: Hey, I'm Taylor! Loving animals is not my whole personality, but it's close. I've been taking care of dogs big and small since I was a kid, and done more serious pet sitting and walking for friends & neighbors since 2017. Pictured is Wheezy, the love of my life: a half Boston Terrier half Pitty I rescued around 5 years ago and nursed back to health. Holler with any questions! I am a journalist and work weird hours! Generally available for afternoon and evening walks both week days and weekends on a case by case basis!. I have a fenced garden area where my pup loves to tromp around. I also live very close to Alamo Square Park, where we love to walk and play if you're comfortable with your pup being social. I've trained Wheezy to return when off-leash but never let other pups off leash without owner permission. In the home, I've got a large crate if needed.

“She took great care of my cat Lucy while I was away. I really appreciated the Rover cards, photos, and the extra updates she sent by text. It made me feel a lot better about being away for the week. I also felt really comfortable having her in my home. You can tell right away that she’s a genuinely good person, and Lucy trusted her almost immediately, which says a lot. I would definitely book with her again!”

“David was fantastic with my cat Cindy! She was immediately comfortable with him and I appreciated his regular updates and photos. Communication was prompt and professional. Highly recommend!”

“A+. Kristina dropped in to care for my 2 cats over three days while I was in Yosemite. She was consistently punctual, took care of food and litter but also played with my cats and brushed them a bit. She was very communicative and took lots of photos/videos. I came home to a clean apartment and content kitties. Absolutely will book again!”

About: Former open-door animal shelter worker in kennels and behavior/medical advice in vet social work care. Cats, dogs, small animals and nail trims, positive reinforcement training I work from home and create my own schedule! Plenty of time during the evenings, in the day and early mornings. Mostly weekday availability too. In your home, I will respect your asks and simply be there for your pet. I have two cats of my own and understand it

Joslyn was wonderful. I had to go out of town last minute, and was worried about leaving my 2 young kitties. A few of my cat gadgets broke while I was gone, and she ended up having to clean up their mess, but she was so gracious. Would absolutely trust her to watch my babies again!

Rachel is amazing!! She is thoughtful and responsive and clearly cares about my kitten! My girl also obviously has the best time playing with Rachel and is happy to have her come by. Rachel’s updates are thorough and I feel complete peace of mind when traveling. Couldn’t recommend her as a cat sitter enough!

Amazing care for my cats. I will definitely be a repeat customer. She went above and beyond and ensured my cats were happy and healthy, being diligent about food, water, and even socializing with them. she is an excellent communicator. I would highly recommend Marianna
Xinyuan was so reliable, kind, and meticulous. Highly recommended! She sent several photos and videos after every visit and was so caring, taking the time to play with my cat who was lonely the week I was away. She also vacuumed up all the tracked litter! Nice to come home to clean floors.

Liz was an absolute DREAM! She took such good care of my cat while I was gone for 2 weeks. I was so nervous to be gone for so long, but Liz put me at ease with her thoughtful questions, updates and pictures she sent. Liz fed my cat, played with her, and took care of her litter and water exactly how I preferred. She even noticed something in my apartment, let me know and handled it. She left my apartment very clean and I truly could not recommend her more!! I will definitely be booking with her again :)

Michelle is great! Did a fantastic job watching over our cat Moza with daily visits while we were away for the longest time we had been away from her. Michelle followed all care instructions great and we received daily updates and pics. Really cared for our cat and went above and beyond in communication and play time. Would highly recommend! Thanks very much!

Leaving another review for Hillary because she has been absolutely amazing and so flexible with our kitties for multiple last minute requests! One of our kitties is on chemo and needs multiple meds, and it’s such a relief to have someone as trustworthy, kind, and careful as Hillary to check on him while we’re away.
