“I’ve been so happy and grateful for the time and attention Davis has given our dog. She gets more exercise than we are able to provide during the day, and just seems generally less anxious. I don’t know why we took so long to take advantage of dog walking help. Considering adding more days just because it’s been so great for her.”

“Thomas was prompt and friendly. Kelly loved his walk!”

“Kali is amazing!! She walked our puppy from when she was 7 months old until 10 months! She did great with her and our pup always loved her mid-day walks. Kali took her time every day and I got reports and pics for each walk!! Thank you Kali for all of your help during this time :)”

“Callie continues to consistent and reliable. Our old girl can tell time and will wait at stairs to listen for Callie (unless our dog is taking a big morning nap!)”

About: Hi, I’m Laura! 🐶🐱 I’m based in the Mission and I’ve always been an animal lover since I watched Marley and Me as a kid! I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, or whatever your pet needs. I’ve done Rover visits and services, and I really enjoy getting to know each pet. While I don’t have a pet of my own right now, I’ve helped care for my family’s dog over the years and spent a whole summer taking care of a friend’s cat—daily feedings, playtime, cleaning up, and just keeping them company. My schedule can be flexible so feel free to reach out if you want to set up a quick meet-and-greet or request services—I’d love to hear about your pet and how I can help! I’m available for morning and evening visits on weekdays and have flexible, open availability on weekends (available for boarding and day care). I’m comfortable with all breeds and ages—whether your pet is energetic or a little shy, I’ll meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel safe and seen. I live alone in my own place just a few minutes walk from a park, which means easy access to fresh air and playtime when needed.

About: I've taken care of dogs for friends, family, & strangers while housesitting and traveling abroad. I'm happy to make your dog's day with some play time, a walk, a potty break, or a some pets and cuddles. I've also trained my parents' two dogs. My work is mostly online with a flexible schedule, so I love getting some time outside with your dog. I'm happy to coordinate with the times you need & work you into my schedule. Integrity, reliability, & responsibility are some of my biggest values. I treat your home as I would my own. And happy to follow a checklist to make sure your dog gets what they need. Please let me know: - Are times flexible? Please provide a window of time. - How do you handle keys? - What is the parking situation?

About: After losing my beloved Border Collie, Kato, after 14 years together, I reflected on the stress and worry I always had when trying to find boarding. I understand all dogs have different needs and quirks, and letting a strange person take care of your pet pet in a new environment can be worrisome. I always felt more comfortable with my boy in home with no other dogs, and now that he is gone, I want to offer that to others as well. I have dog-sat for family and friends over the years--a Jack Russell, labs, basset hound, golden retrievers, chihuahuas, and huskies--and they all end up loving me. I think it is my general calm energy and positive reinforcement philosophy. I grew up with a Border Collie, and when I got my driver's license, he decided I was his new #1 in the home (probably from the car rides we would take). I have probably watched every episode of It's Me or The Dog on YouTube/Animal Planet multiple times, and I taken that positive reinforcement philosophy forward with my own research, and I use that approach with my dog and every dog interaction I have. Know that your dog will be in a calm and secure place with me. Currently volunteering at the SF SPCA. I am currently working part-time from home, so I will have plenty of time to look after your pup. I used to bring my dog to a local dog-friendly bar, but I will not be bringing your dog there unless you request it specifically. I live in an apartment in the Castro, so walks in the neighborhood are easy. If they have issues with cars or busy streets, I can walk them up hill towards the dog park which is very quiet. I have a large dog crate if you would like me to use it during their stay, so you don't need to bring your own. No yard, but there's a big, open, gated, parking area that me and some neighbors use for quick fetch sessions. (Let me know if you need parking while you are away.) There is an unfenced dog park up the hill from my apt less than half a mile, and a dog fenced dog park all the way at the top. I have a car, so if they are older or have health issues, I can always drive to either of those parks or anywhere else.

About: Ive had cats and dogs (and many other pets) all my life and have experience with dog sitting young puppies that are in training to older dogs that need medication throughout the day. I am new to San Francisco and have enjoyed taking long walks and exploring and would enjoy having a companion to take along with me! I work in restaurants on the weekends so I have most mornings and early afternoons free. I also have all day on Monday and Tuesday free so I have plenty of time to hang with your furry friend! I am unable to host your pet at my home as we have just adopted a new kitten that we are still acclimating to the space but I am happy to go on long walks or keep your buddy company in your/their home!

“So grateful for Katheryn. She did an incredible job with my dog Clementine. Took such good care of her and gave me a great report after. Will absolutely be booking her again!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience from both personal and professional settings. I've dog-sat for friends, handling overnights, feedings, walks, and check-ins. For the past two years, I’ve worked at a dog grooming shop, where I also assisted with an overnight boarding facility. This has given me strong skills in animal care, behavior observation, and handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Pet care is a central part of my daily routine, with scheduled feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins integrated throughout the day to ensure consistency and comfort. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I ensure they have fresh food and water, regular bathroom breaks, playtime, and affection. I follow any specific routines or medical instructions provided by the owner, keep the environment clean and safe, and provide updates to ensure peace of mind.

About: I'm a total dog person! My family, housemates, and friends have always had dogs, and home isn't home without one. I have regularly taken care of many pets wherever I've lived and have earned the trust of my clients, and their humans. I recently relocated to San Francisco for work. I can provide many references upon request. Thanks for reading and please reach out with any questions! Because of my day job, I generally prefer to stay at a house instead of traveling back and forth, but I'm happy to discuss your situation. At the moment, I'm usually away from the house 8:00am to 5:30pm, but I have lots of telework flexibility to accommodate your pet. I'm prepared to accommodate active dogs on hikes or runs, but I'm equally available for lounging. Just let me know what your pet prefers and I think we can make it work.

About: I’ve taken care of cats my entire life both at home and in shelters where I’ve volunteered. I’ve been dog sitting for the past year and have gained a lot of valuable experience. I love taking care of and sitting for both dogs and cats. I currently work from home 2-3 days a week and am around most weekends. I will have time to care for them each day and play on the weekends. I love taking my dog to dog parks such as Dolores and Duboce, as well as spending time at home playing. My apartment is a pet friendly space with lots of toys, outdoor space, and proximity to parks.

“Gustavo was an all-star! He was very communicative, and even flexible to our schedule that changed last minute (my mistake). He arrived promptly and was excited to walk our dog- and as demonstrated by the pictures, our dog had a blast! Would hire Gustavo again in a heartbeat.”

18. Amy J.
“Our dog Ellie is a Catahoula problem child, but we love her none the less. We had always relied on family members to feed and care for her whenever we went out of town. This proved to be a chore for our family and we always worried about Ellie and her caretakers while we were gone. Ellie is high energy which also makes her high anxiety. She is a Red Merle Catahoula so she looks very scary. She is also cage aggressive but only toward strangers. Amy came by our home several times in the weeks before our trip. We practiced putting Ellie in her crate and taking her out over and over again to make Ellie feel better. When we left for our trip Amy took very good care of Ellie. It was a great relief for us to not have to worry about our dog while we were away. Amy gave us updates over the days we were gone. Ellie definitely gave Amy a challenge, but when Amy left the last day Ellie was sad to see her go. Amy went above and beyond to spend time with Ellie walking her and playing with her. When we returned from our trip Ellie was happy and our house was in good nick! We were sad when Amy relocated. Not only would I recommend her, but I will gauge future dogsitters on our experience with Amy”

19. elizabeth l.
“Elizabeth would be a very caring, entirely reliable, responsible, and gentle dog walker/sitter. She has a great love for animals and talked about being a veterinarian for quite some time. She often was a dog walker for her teachers in high school. I would highly recommend her Angela L”
