I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and understand how important it is to follow each pet's routine so they feel comfortable while you're away. About: In addition to being raised sharing responsibility for our household cats and dogs, I've been providing house sitting and pet care for my community for as long as I can remember, and thus have ample references I'm happy to provide! Aside from regularly caring for dogs and cats, I also have snake & reptile and even horse experience! Making sure your animals get the care they deserve is really important to me, and it's always heartwarming to meet new fun creatures. I am a student working part time and I'm very well available to take care of your animals. I'm best available for visit and house sitting services. One of the reasons I wanted to join Rover was that I am moving into a pet-free apartment and I'm really excited to get my dog and cat fix. I have no problem with pets that may need more attention and keeping my time outside of the home brief (1-3 hrs.) When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize keeping their world as familiar and comfortable as possible. One of the primary ways I ensure your animals feel safe is by closely adhering to their routines so I follow feeding, medication, and exercise schedules closely and treat any deviations as the exception, not the norm. Before settling in, I do a quiet walkthrough to check for anything that could pose a risk—unsecured doors, open windows, potential hazards—so your pet's environment is as safe as it is comfortable. From there, I let the pet lead. Some warm up quickly, some take time, and I'm equally comfortable with both. Throughout every visit, I keep you in the loop with regular updates and photos. You should never have to wonder how your pet is doing.

I've also volunteered with a senior dog rescue, where I learned patience, gentle handling, and how to read each dog's individual needs — from playful pups to older dogs who need a calmer pace. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk or a gentle companion, I'll treat them like my own. My schedule is currently flexible, which lets me offer reliable availability throughout the day. I'm generally free from around 8am until sunset, so I can cover morning, midday, and evening walks. I also welcome boarding stays with advance notice, so I can make sure I'm fully prepared to give your pet my complete attention. Safety comes first for me, whether I'm in your home or mine. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks and double check doors, gates, and yards before letting them off leash in a safe space. In my home, I keep the environment calm and pet-proofed, with no accessible chemicals, small objects, or unsafe areas. I follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions exactly as given, and I send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I also keep emergency vet contact info on hand for every stay.

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats throughout my life. Recently, I started taking care of some of my friend’s pets and have gained valuable experience through them. I have taken care of cats of all sizes and energy levels, and have taken care of small-medium dogs. I’m currently working a full-time job from 7-4, but can swing before or after work, and during lunch time for an hour to take care of your pet! I am free weeknights after work, as well as on weekends. I can do drop-in care every 4 hours on weekdays, can stay overnight if needed, and/or can stay all day on the weekends. I do not have pets of my own, and live in a studio apartment so if your pet will be at my home, you will not need to worry about another pet being there. I have some plants that can be put away in a safe place if needed. If I will be staying at your home or doing drop-in care, I will make sure to treat it with respect and leave it how it was when I arrived.

About: Recently moved to SF and looking to explore with your pet! I love to walk through the neighborhood and run. I’ve had pets my whole life (dogs & cats) and love nothing more than going for a long walk or sitting outside with a dog. I grew up with a German shepherd, German shepherd mix and doodle (all pictured). We now have a husky and have been enjoying taking care of other dogs to scratch the itch of having two My schedule is currently 3 days in the office with two days working from home. Other than Monday, those two days are flexible and I would accommodate your pet given the schedule. The first thing I do in the morning when taking care of a pet is attend to their needs, i.e. walk, feed etc. that is also the last thing I will do before heading to bed. While working from home I am able to take the dog out during the day to walk, play, etc.

About: Hey, I'm Taylor! Loving animals is not my whole personality, but it's close. I've been taking care of dogs big and small since I was a kid, and done more serious pet sitting and walking for friends & neighbors since 2017. Pictured is Wheezy, the love of my life: a half Boston Terrier half Pitty I rescued around 5 years ago and nursed back to health. Holler with any questions! I am a journalist and work weird hours! Generally available for afternoon and evening walks both week days and weekends on a case by case basis!. I have a fenced garden area where my pup loves to tromp around. I also live very close to Alamo Square Park, where we love to walk and play if you're comfortable with your pup being social. I've trained Wheezy to return when off-leash but never let other pups off leash without owner permission. In the home, I've got a large crate if needed.
