“Really appreciated the care and attention from Wei Keong for my senior dog! He seemed very gentle with her and understanding of her needs, and even went above and beyond by helping clean up an "accident" she had in the house before he got there.”

“João is an amazing dog walker! He has been walking our dog Yali for a couple months now. Our dog, Yali, can be tentative around strangers at first but João knew how to put him at ease and feel comfortable. He takes Yali on long and fun walks”

“Lauren was fantastic - great communication, sent very cute photos, and took our booking on very short notice! Really was a life saver on a day with a last minute schedule change!”

“Montana was so sweet with our senior dog and even helped with medication. Stayed with our nervous boy and made him feel at home. We felt safe leaving him with her and she helped out so much. Very sweet and reliable!”

“Would highly highly recommend Joey. She is super responsive, caring, reliable, detail oriented, and was just overall great with our pups Mozie. She exercised him well every day and took great care of him. She also sent such cute pics every day she took him on a walk, and was detailed in her updates. We loved Joey and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Cash had the best time with Jeremy and David!! Exceeded our expectations. We will 100% use them again. It’s amazing when you feel at ease having your pup being with someone who really cares!”

“Michelle was wonderful to work with, as well as my dog now considers her his fun-auntie. She communicated well, was timely, and friendly. Additionally, on another occasion when she watched my dog at her home, she was able to train him to be calm around cats! A miracle patience fairy kind and caring to all sorts of beings. Highly recommend her services!”

“I can’t recommend Surekha as a walker highly enough! She is incredibly reliable and genuinely so sweet with my dog. It’s clear how much she cares, my pup is always happy and well-exercised. Most importantly, she is trustworthy, which gives me total peace of mind knowing my dog is in such good hands.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats from a very young age- I trained/raised my own puppy at 12, and have been around dogs and cats constantly for my whole life ! I am family, friends, and neighbor’s first choice for pet care; everything from feeding and walking, to bathing, light training, or staying with them in their homes! I currently work for SFUSD, so work school hours, 8am-4pm, and am only available after school. I am occasionally available for morning visits on weekdays, but generally only if you are rather close to my own home. I am available after school on weekdays (until the school year ends of course), and all day on weekends, and I will always update my calendar for days I am unavailable! I accepting house sitting requests on a case by case basis. You are welcome to inquire so I can determine if it will be a good fit! In a client’s home, I am always respectful of one’s space and privacy, treating the space with caution and kindness. As someone who grew up babysitting and pet sitting in others’ homes, I understand the etiquette of being in someone else’s home!

About: I have babysat: 1) a medium sized 50 lb hound mix dog for a month at a time every year for 13 years (over the course of its life time from when she was a puppy to death) whose personality was very energetic and anxious. It needed a lot of exercise everyday, stimulated play, and long walks which I happily enjoyed! But she also needed to be watched carefully to ensure she didn’t scare anybody by playfully jumping on them. She would tug a lot during walks and would get excited seeing other dogs but I’ve always managed to calmly steer her away if aggression showed or if the other person or dog she was meeting showed signs of being uncomfortable. This dog always stayed at my place when I babysat her. Made sure she was fed on time twice a day and provided fresh water everyday. 2) two cats at a month at a time for the past 4 years. Stayed at the owner’s place every time. Had to be fed at certain times twice a day, gave them treats throughout the day and attention whenever they requested it. Sometimes I would initiate the contact but if the cats weren’t feeling it, they would communicate it and I would stop. They were indoor cats so I also made sure that any windows that were open were secure and they couldn’t slip through. Had no issues of escaped cats. 3) an energetic 8 year old pomsky and an 18 yr old cat for 10 days. House-sat the owner’s place the entire time where I had to walk the dog 4 times every day at a set schedule and feed them both & provide medication to the cat at set times. The Pomsky was very energetic so also took the time during the afternoon to play with her when she had the zoomies. And have the cat tummy rubs and butt scratches whenever she requested it. 4) a large 50 lb, 2 year old, Old English Sheepdog (named Cura). House-sat & dog-sat Cura for 10 days in Los Angeles, CA. Highly energetic who needed a lot of exercise everyday. Very obedient and could be taken off leash. But I always establish a level of trust and learn the dog’s mannerisms before taking them off leash in the park or around the apartment/house block. Cura also had a tendency to be scared of aggressive dogs or loud noises so I always maintained a level of reassurance and safety with her. Also had to be aware of the high temperatures in LA (given the summer time), hence I’d walk her early in the morning and late at night. 5) a 5 yr old, 25 lb, hound whippet mixed dog named Phoebe - house sat and babysat her for 12 days. Highly anxious who needed to be administered an anxiety pill every morning and needed constant attention and long walks. 6) Hamsters - babysat them for a week at a time for friends whenever they went out of town. Fed and cleaned the box. Would occasionally bring it out of its cage to let it roam around the room in its ball. 7) I have my own pet - a red eared slider turtle who I claim to be my aquatic dog 😉. He is 18 years old and I got him when he was just the size of a quarter. But he gets excited to see me whenever I enter the room and will follow me in the apartment when I let him out to walk around. He can also recognize me out of a group of people! 8) I have a ton of plants that I have grown in the past 6 years - huge monstera (from a 1 foot baby to now a 7 ft giant with 30 inch wide leaves), verraccusum, constellation monstera, cacti, pothos, glorosium, etc. I’m currently unemployed (taking a hiatus from being an accountant in the corporate world) so I have all the time to take care of your pet(s). Available anytime to feed, walk, play, and assist in providing medication. I have a pet turtle that I’ve had for 18 years that I have by a sunny window. But every other day, I’ll let him out in the apartment to walk around and explore (but he will often just follow me around😉). I currently live in an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs or cats so over the last few years, I’ve always taken care of pets at the owner’s place. Either living at their place or coming to their place at set times to feed and/or walk their pets.

About: I have taken care of dogs and all types of pets since I was 5. I don’t just consider them pets but human beings and even a part of my family. I’m currently taking some time off school so I am pretty free during the week. So, I am able to have time for walks and playtime. During weekends I have a little less time but I am also available mostly after 2:00pm. I live in an apartment so I mostly have small dogs in my home, which is why I make sure to take my pets on walks as much as possible

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats for most of my life, from a three-legged Rottie named Goose, to Golden Retrievers, to Buster, a beloved mutt who loved long walks in the woods. I’ve cared for pets for neighbors, friends, and many happy clients, whether I was visiting them or they were visiting me. I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all kinds, including walking, feeding, bathing, giving medications, potty breaks, and everything in between. Many happy humans — according to their pets! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and check-ins never feel like an interruption — they are usually one of the best parts of my day. I’m active and outdoors often, so I’m happy to build my schedule around regular walks, longer outings when appropriate, and plenty of attention at home. I’m also comfortable with more detailed care needs, including medications, specific feeding routines, bathing, and keeping pets on the schedule they’re used to. Whether I’m caring for dogs, cats, or both, I like to keep things calm, consistent, and reliable so pets feel safe and their humans feel comfortable while they’re away. I care for pets by keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow each owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any special needs. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, tidy, and attentive. I make sure pets feel safe and cared for, keep their spaces clean, and provide regular updates so owners know how things are going. My goal is to give each pet calm, reliable care and plenty of attention while their humans are away.

About: I am a longtime SF resident (over 25 years) and life-long animal lover (especially dogs). I am semi-retired and truly enjoy taking care of other people’s pets and showing them the kindness and attention they are in extra need of when away from their owners. I have my own 7-year old Australian terrier who is well-trained and exceptionally friendly. I have always loved walking and take my Gracie on long walks and to local area parks everyday (including Dolores Park, which is directly across the street from my home; as well nearby Duboce, Alamo Square Park and others). I’d be delighted to have your small to medium-sized dog join us as one off occasion or on a regular basis. In addition, I also board dogs for overnights and longer stays. While advance notice of a week to several days is preferred, I know unexpected situations can arise and do my best to be available on short notice. I have a car now so I can do pickups and drop offs. I am fully vaccinated as well Below are photos of my dog Gracie and me as well as previous clients. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I’m more than happy to provide references upon request. I’m currently retired so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby, be it doggy day-care or dog boarding. I enjoy taking dogs out for long walks. I provide all dogs with a safe environment. My backyard is fenced in and I can also allow dogs to eat in different areas if necessary. Dogs will be walked every 2 hours.
About: Grew up in a farm with tons of animals and dogs and cats, I have over 20 years of experience caring and boarding doggies. They help me a lot with my anxiety and depression and it's a full time job. Available all the time. I work from home so I'm always at home available to watch your baby. They will love making me company and that would be my pleasure. I have a huge fenced yard and I'm always at home. I have a daughter and I do domestic work at home. Animals will help me keep company.
“Sydney and Elias are responsible, on time, and our dogs loved them. When either of them arrived for the dogs’ afternoon, after the third day, our pups were jumping around like family was home. Great communication. Would use them again in a heartbeat.”
About: I have 6 years of experience in pet care, specifically with dogs and cats. During this time, I’ve honed my skills in walking, feeding, and providing at-home care. I understand the importance of routine in a dog’s life, ensuring they receive regular exercise through daily walks and playtime. I’m attentive to their nutritional needs, preparing meals and monitoring their eating habits. Additionally, I’ve created a safe and comfortable environment at home, offering companionship and care to keep them happy and healthy. My experience has deepened my love for animals and my commitment to their well-being. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine. With my hybrid work schedule, I have the flexibility to care for dogs on any day of the week, as long as I receive a week’s advance notice. This allows me to plan my days around their needs, ensuring they get regular walks, feeding, and attention. I prioritize creating a structured routine that benefits both the pets and myself, ensuring they feel loved and well-cared for, while I maintain my work commitments. In my home, I provide a safe and welcoming environment for pets. Since I live in an apartment with no other pets, I can focus entirely on their needs without distractions. I ensure the space is clean and free of hazards, making it a comfortable place for them to relax. During their stay, I prioritize regular walks, playtime, and proper feeding schedules tailored to their individual requirements. If I’m caring for a client’s pet in their home, I maintain their routines as closely as possible, ensuring they feel secure and cared for in familiar surroundings. I also respect their home by following any specific guidelines and keeping the environment tidy.
“I was super happy to find Sally for a dog walk on short notice. She was super attentive to details and I was completely at ease that my pup would be safe with her. She was very easy to communicate with and my dog clearly loved her. Thanks Sally!”

Bernal Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mia was amazing! My dog can be a little wary of new people but he was asking Mia for belly rubs within 5 minutes of meeting her. She was very detail oriented when asking about his habits. Overall responsible, prompt, great with dogs, and very caring. I’m a pretty picky, anxious dog mom and Mia checked all of the boxes and more. 10/10 would recommend!

Shailyng was great, she writes the best updates and send a lot of pictures. It makes me feel like I'm with the dogs while reading the updates. She will take care of every little detail. The dogs were happy when I came from my trip which means they were well taken care of. I'll make sure to refer her to my friends.
