“This was our first time working with a dog walker and Lani did a wonderful job meeting us. Playing with our pup and walking her around the neighborhood. Lani was very respectful and helpful. Will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve helped care for my own dogs for the past 10 years! I’ve also done house sitting and walks for other pets/ families as well! I’ve been responsible for feeding, walking and playing with other dogs at others homes. I’m good with all types and sizes, and love making a safe and comfortable atmosphere for them while they’re with me! I offer walking, sitting, check ins and will be sure to get them out and about while being careful to cater to any specific needs your dog may have! I’m currently working a part time job, with mostly 4-6 hour shifts so it gives me a lot of room for time with the dogs! I’m available most mornings for walks (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) and am happy to sit any days of the week/weekends if I’m able to leave the dog alone for work during those requested days. In my clients home i’m sure to keep the space tidy and comfortable. As long as i’m at your home I’ll make sure your dog feels cared for and loved while you’re gone!
“I can’t recommend Surekha as a walker highly enough! She is incredibly reliable and genuinely so sweet with my dog. It’s clear how much she cares, my pup is always happy and well-exercised. Most importantly, she is trustworthy, which gives me total peace of mind knowing my dog is in such good hands.”

“Highly recommend! Joyce was wonderful, reliable, kind, and great with our pets. She took our dog on long, 1-hour walks while my husband and I were working, and she also has experience with cats, helping administer eye drop medication for us. We really appreciated all her help.”

“Marie was very reliable, professional, friendly, and responsive. We would 100% recommend Marie for dog walking and plan to use her services again. Thank you, Marie!”

“Anna is an incredible dog walker, she’s super sweet and has been a lifesaver as i’ve started work! My dog loves his walks with her and I can’t recommend her enough for anyone else that needs help with getting their dog some long walks!”

About: I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole life, whether it was my standard poodle as a young kid, my mini poodle as a teenager or, more recently, the senior dogs I’ve fostered or adopted from Muttville. Dogs have always been in good hands with me. Right now my wife and I have two dachshund chihuahua mixes we adopted at five and six. Our home is a dog home. They’re on the couch, on the bed and even under the covers (if they want to burrow). They’re in the mix and they’re loved. If your dog has medications, I’ve got it. If they have special needs or they’re older and need a slower pace, I have ample experience with that. I’m currently dedicating my time to taking care of pups, so your pup will have my undivided attention throughout the days and evenings. The max amount of time I’d leave your dog alone would be for four hours. I have two dogs of my own that I would keep separate from your dog to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. I have a fully fenced backyard with a couple of stairs. I also have pet stairs inside to help senior dogs get up on to the couch and bed
“Michelle was wonderful to work with, as well as my dog now considers her his fun-auntie. She communicated well, was timely, and friendly. Additionally, on another occasion when she watched my dog at her home, she was able to train him to be calm around cats! A miracle patience fairy kind and caring to all sorts of beings. Highly recommend her services!”

“Lauren was great with my dog! I wasn't worried at all about Violet while I was gone, even when she got an upset stomach and felt sick. Lauren communicated well, asked good questions when I showed her the ropes, and clearly responded to Violet's needs. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Dena walked our (recovering) reactive dog Monty and did a fantastic job. She was open to using treats and commands, and got him comfortable quickly. She’s a very calm presence with lots of experience (and love for!) with dogs. We will definitely hire her again!”

About: I have experience with different dog sizes and breeds. 🐾 My American Akita, Anjie, recently passed after a long, happy life with me. 🐾 Large breeds are especially welcome. 🐾 At this time, I’m focusing on boarding dogs who are generally healthy and comfortable in a home environment. Please share your dog’s age, routine, temperament, and any medical needs when you reach out for booking unless your pet profile is complete. 🐾 I work from home much of the time. I do sometimes need to leave a dog alone. Dogs who are not destructive or prone to significant separation anxiety do not need to be crated unless you prefer that your dog be crated. 🐾 I own my condo, which is calm, clean, and dog-friendly. I welcome your dog’s bed, toys, and familiar items. 🐾 I have a lot of outdoor space on the property and am close to Glen Canyon Park and other walking areas. I have a car, so I can get around easily. Dog Walks (That’s when I come to you.) 🐾 I’m open to afternoon and evening walks. 🐾 I can walk 2-3 dogs from the same family. Care & Safety 🐾 I have supplies like a crate, bowls, shampoo… 🐾 I leash dogs unless they’re in a private space. 🐾 I’m fine crossing the street with your dog if she/he can be reactive.
“Sydney and Elias are responsible, on time, and our dogs loved them. When either of them arrived for the dogs’ afternoon, after the third day, our pups were jumping around like family was home. Great communication. Would use them again in a heartbeat.”
About: What sets me apart is the dependable, compassionate care I bring to every drop-in and house sitting visit. With over 5 years of experience caring for both cats and dogs—from growing up with pets to now having my own—I understand how important it is to find someone who treats your animals like family. Whether I’m stopping by for a quick walk and check-in or staying overnight to keep your pet company, I bring patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals. I’m great at reading energy—whether your dog needs a play buddy, your cat needs a calm presence, or your senior pet just needs a little extra care. And yes, I come with treats (and plenty of belly rubs or head scratches, depending on who’s asking)! Caring for pets fits perfectly into my weekly routine, especially with my flexible part-time schedule. I make sure they’re fed on time, get daily walks or playtime for exercise, and take care of any medications they need. When I care for pets, whether at my place or a client’s, I make sure they’re in a safe and comfortable environment that suits their needs. At home, I set up cozy spots for them to rest and play and stick closely to their feeding and/or medication schedules. I also prioritize regular walks and playtime to keep them happy and active. In a client's home, I aim to replicate their usual routines as closely as possible. This includes following specific feeding instructions, maintaining their exercise regimen, and administering medications if required. Clear communication with pet owners is crucial to ensure I meet their expectations and keep them informed about their pet's well-being throughout my care. Ultimately, whether at home or with a client, my goal is to provide loving, attentive care that ensures the pets feel secure and happy in their environment.
About: I have worked in dog hotels as an overnight caretaker (no humans, just dogs), I have been a dog walker and a dog owner for nearly my whole life. I trained our family service dog (recently passed) on my own and got her professionally certified. I am home everyday as a homeschooling mom. Your pet is a part of the family while they are here. My kids and I are a chill group, Dogs are a natural fit. I have a small deck in the back, my kids and I go on walks constantly, the dogs are welcome on the beds and on the couches. My home is their home.
About: Hi there! I’m Jeremy, and I’m a lifelong dog lover who’s ready to give your pup some top-notch care. I hair from Santa Cruz but have called San Francisco my home for a long time now. While I can’t have a dog of my own right now, Rover lets me fill that dog-shaped space in my life by hanging out with yours. I’m all about loving-on every dog I see and I’ll make sure your furry family gets all the attention they deserve. I have a flexible schedule so I have the luxury to prioritize your pup if I am the person who gets to take care of them. I love giving pups, a much-needed walk, playing with their third toy, or just sitting next to them and giving them a pet if that’s more their speed.
About: I am an animal lover, especially big dogs! I have been a nanny and pet sitter for decades and I’m looking forward to being your go-to trusted sitter. I am reliable, easy going and I enjoy caring for animals. I have a flexible schedule for booking and to give your pets extra love while you’re away. My goal with to build long lasting friendships and make pet sitting like family care, not just a service. I enjoy staying in the home where pets are most comfortable in their routines. I’m also happy to water plants and do other small tasks while you’re away. I can work from my computer so I’m available to stay in for more potty breaks, extra care for elderly animals or even just quality time with anxious pets. I don’t have a dog of my own, so spending time with yours truly fills my heart with joy. I am also very happy to care for horses and other farm animals. I’ve spent years as a nanny for two children on a farm, while caring for horses and other farm animals daily (sheep, goats, pigs, quail etc.) Pretty much open to anything and just happy to be around animals. I am new to Rover, but I have completed 30 services on the Wag app (all with 5 star reviews) the apps are new to me, as most of my nanny jobs and pet sitting has been through word of mouth. *happy to lower rate on additional pets & holidays My schedule is pretty open. I don’t have any pets of my own so I have the flexibility to travel further out of town and do longer stays if you’re planning bigger trips in the future. Most of my work is done from my laptop so I am mobile, giving me this open schedule for booking and to attend to your pets needs while sitting. As for my lifestyle I am active, I enjoy walks and hikes (stopping for all the smells of course) my active lifestyle will give your pet the exercise they need and plenty of fresh air. I have been a trusted home and pet sitting for decades. I have long lasting friendships with families I have pet sit for. I've helped train puppies and care for elderly animals with special needs. And overall I treat your pets like a family member and make them feel loved and safe while their humans are away.
About: Hi there! I have cared for my own dogs since I was 12 years old and have had 3 other dogs since. I snagged my first pet-sitting gig when I was 13 caring for neighbor's dogs and cats. I started Rover when I was in college and loved it so much that I continued after graduating. I took a short break to volunteer at Muttville but I'm back on Rover and excited to provide the best possible care for your animals. I love getting to know animals and their different personalities, quirks and habits. I understand that, like people, each animal is different. They each have different preferences and needs, which is why I highly encourage a consultation, whether in person or via phone, so I can get to know your pet better before spending more time with them. After all, you know your pet best! I have experience administering most types of medications-- pills, creams, eye-drops, etc. I have cared for senior dogs (my very first dog lived to be 18 years old!) as well as shy, sensitive, anxious or reactive animals. My current dog, Riker, came to us highly anxious from his previous living situation. Through my work with Riker, he has learned to be more confident and comfortable around what used to be his triggers, while I have learned a variety of training methods and tools and understand that each animal may need to be approached a different way. If you have strict training rules, I'm happy to adhere to those to ensure consistency in the animal's routines. I'm fully committed to Rover so my schedule can be very flexible. I'll be able to make adjustments according to you and your animal's needs. I would love to chat through any ground rules or specific needs your animal may require under my supervision. I understand each animal has different needs and I want to learn what your pet needs and how I can best support them and you.

Wow!! If you are looking for a responsible, responsive and considerate walker, Soomi is by far one of the best walkers I have had the pleasure of working with. She went above beyond her duties, made sure that I got plenty of very cute updates and is so considerate of how my dog is doing as well as being considerate of others while with her. I cannot recommend her enough!

We cannot say enough good things about Surekha. Finding someone you trust with your dog is tough, but she made it incredibly easy. She is so genuinely kind and patient, and she has been absolutely wonderful with our mini Aussie. She understands his personality perfectly and tailors her approach to exactly what our pup needs that day. Surekha is dependable, communicative, and just a joy to work with. Highly, highly recommend!
