About: I have had two dogs throughout my life, my current who is 14 years old! I am additionally a certified guide dog trainer (for Guide Dogs for The Blind) and have successfully trained 2 puppies through their 1-13 month respective phases. I love spending time with animals and will give full/attentive care to your pet! I am currently working full-time remote. My schedule allows me to be flexible throughout the week allowing me to provide ample time for your dog! I have a fully enclosed yard with no other (current) pets in the household. My flexible schedule allows me to keep a close eye on your pet and crate/go outside when needed!
About: I’ve been helping to care for our family’s cats (feeding and litter boxes) from a very young age. I also have quite a bit of experience pet-sitting and have stayed overnight to care for friends’ pets. I will often take family or friends’ pets for walks while visiting, just because I enjoy being around animals. I am very diligent and will maintain any schedule or special instructions you might have. I do work full time from 8-4:30, Monday through Friday, but I am available in the evenings and on weekends. I do some tutoring after work but will be able to incorporate pet care into my schedule. I live in an apartment, but we do have a fenced in dog park and there are several large parks nearby. I do have a cat and dog (who are rather spoiled), but they are both quite friendly and ready to keep your pet company. My apartment is a decent size, and I strive to take my dog (a senior mini pinscher) out at least four times per day.
“Thank you Christal. It’s always such a pleasant communicating with Christal and so many positive energy! She’s also so great walking with my pup and we noticed he want to follow her when she left.”

About: I grew up around dogs and currently work part-time at a dog grooming spa, which has given me hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Through grooming work, I’ve learned how important patience, gentle handling, cleanliness, and reading a dog’s body language can be. I understand that every pet has their own routine, comfort level, and personality. Some dogs need calm reassurance, some need more exercise, and some simply need a quiet, reliable person to keep them company. I do my best to provide safe, attentive care that matches each pet’s needs while helping them feel comfortable and loved. I also have experience caring for senior pets, pets with special routines, and pets who may need oral medication, basic coat care, or extra patience. Also, I certified in Cat and Dog First Aid by the American Red Cross. Experienced in pet handling, grooming support, and daily pet care. I am currently a student and work part-time at a dog grooming spa, so pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I am available for weekday and weekend care, and for weekday daycare, drop-off at my workplace may be available by arrangement. My schedule can vary, so I always confirm details in advance to make sure your pet gets safe, reliable care. I live in a single-family home with a fenced yard, and there is a nearby park with walking trails and a dog play area about a 5 minute walk away. Safety is always my priority, so I follow each pet’s routine carefully, keep dogs supervised, and use a leash for walks unless we have discussed otherwise. I also ask about food allergies, medical needs, triggers, and comfort around other pets before care begins.

Visitacion Valley dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mia was amazing! My dog can be a little wary of new people but he was asking Mia for belly rubs within 5 minutes of meeting her. She was very detail oriented when asking about his habits. Overall responsible, prompt, great with dogs, and very caring. I’m a pretty picky, anxious dog mom and Mia checked all of the boxes and more. 10/10 would recommend!

Shailyng was great, she writes the best updates and send a lot of pictures. It makes me feel like I'm with the dogs while reading the updates. She will take care of every little detail. The dogs were happy when I came from my trip which means they were well taken care of. I'll make sure to refer her to my friends.

Cameron has been great with taking care of Loki. He always keeps me updated on his schedule before coming over for walks and is consistently on top of communication, which I really appreciate. We’re so glad we found someone who is not only nearby, but also responsible and reliable!
