“Melissa has such an obvious love for dogs! I felt so comfortable with leaving June in her hands. She has experience spanning a lot of individual needs and I knew that June would be safe with her.”

“Rocio was lovely! We worked with her for a few mid-week walks for our pup and it was instantly obvious how attentive she was and thoughtful to our needs. We’d recommend Rocio for any of your pet care.”

“Valentina is so great! My dog Tully loves her and she is very responsive and flexible. You can tell she is very experienced. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for care for their fur-child 😊”

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since I had my first dog (an adorable cocker spaniel) at the age of four. Growing up in the West of Ireland I had two dogs and two cats, one cocker spaniel and one golden retriever x German shepherd mix so I am used to dogs of all shapes and sizes big and small. Besides minding friends' and family's dogs and cats, I used to volunteer at a veterinary clinic back in my home town, grooming, caring for and walking dogs in their clinic. I have been animal mad all my life, I did horse riding for 8 years when I was younger and volunteered at my local stables in exchange for free lessons. I even volunteered regularly at an Aquarium of the Bay so I have experience giving animal care to snakes, lizards and fish as well. I miss having company on my walks so while my lifestyle cannot accommodate a dog of my own currently, I would love to befriend yours and help make sure they get lots of love and care <3 I am currently working part-time remotely which gives me a very flexible schedule. I can be available weekdays or weekends and would love to regularly care for the same pets if possible. I am mainly looking to take care of pets within the comfort of their own home as I have roommates (who love animals) but I would need to plan with them to bring any pet into my own home. Happy to bring pets on some fun adventures outside in the different parks and beaches in the city. I am very respectful and considerate when in someone else's space, and always follow the rules of the home. I want to make things as easy and smooth as possible for you so happy to meet virtually or in person as much as needed to build that trust to look after your home and pet(s).

About: I was a babysitter and dog walker in New York City, so am experienced in being highly responsible and aware. I am strong and energetic, but also patient and thoughtful, so get on with dogs of all kinds. I hope to meet your pet! I am totally flexible, as I work remotely/asynchronously. I sometimes go for multiple walks a day, and would love to bring your pet along! I cannot offer services in my home, as I am living with my family (to save money) at the moment. If I did, I would care for them like my own cats, who currently live on the east coast with their co-parents.

About: I’ve cared for puppies, senior dogs, high energy breeds, shy rescues, while also growing up with a Doberman and now a mom to a sphinx cat. I’m super patient and really good at reading their personalities and needs. I love long walks, playtime, and of course cuddles (if they’re into that). I’m also comfortable with feeding schedules, basic training reinforcement, giving meds if needed, and keeping you updated with lots of pics because I know how much that matters. Your pet is 100% treated like family with me!! I work full-time Monday–Friday 9–5pm, but I’m remote/work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me a lot of flexibility those days for walks, drop-ins, and attention throughout the day. On Tuesdays–Thursdays I’m available before work, after 5pm, and evenings. I’m also available most weekends and love having pets stay over or doing longer visits then. I’m super organized and good at sticking to routines!!! I’m very intentional about creating a calm, safe environment. I live in a clean, pet-friendly space and always introduce pets slowly and thoughtfully. I follow feeding instructions exactly, double-check leashes/harnesses, and never take dogs off-leash unless explicitly discussed. I’m big on communication, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing. Their comfort and safety are my top priority!!!
“Elizavyeta took our energetic puppy out twice a day while my partner and I were sick with COVID. She was able to accommodate us on short notice and our pup came home very happy every time. We’re so grateful & would definitely book with Elizavyeta again.”

About: I’ve been caring for friends’ and family members’ pets for years, and it’s always felt like second nature. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or just keeping them company, I genuinely enjoy being around animals. Pets tend to warm up to me quickly, and it’s always a great feeling when they get excited to see me again. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages — from playful puppies to senior pets — including those with medical conditions that require daily medication or special attention. I’m physically active and spend a lot of time at the park, which makes it easy to incorporate fun and exercise into the pets’ routines. My goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits into my daily or weekly routine pretty naturally. I usually plan around feeding times, walks, and any special instructions the owner gives me. Even though I started doing it to earn extra money, I’ve actually come to enjoy the time I spend with the pets. It gives me a break from my own routine and adds some structure to my day. Plus, it’s rewarding to know the animals are happy and being well cared for I follow whatever routine the pet is used to — feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. Whether I’m in my home or theirs, I try to make the pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
About: My love for animals started at age 8, tagging along with my brother to cat-sit. Growing up in a pet-free household due to allergies, I seized every chance to care for friends' and neighbors' pets, including lizards and amphibians—and I haven't stopped since. For over 20 years, I've helped raise my siblings' dogs from puppyhood through their senior years, including two Rottweilers (D'Arcy and Chaucer) and a Blue Picardy Spaniel (Porter). I've learned the unique needs of each life stage—from puppy training and socialization to the gentle care seniors require. For the past 7 years, I've been a devoted cat mom to MacKenzie (born 2011), and I also helped raise our neighbor's kitten, Tofu, from birth to age 4. Whether it's understanding a senior pet's comfort needs or keeping up with a playful kitten's energy, I bring patience, attentiveness, and genuine love to every animal I visit. Under my care, your Pet-Baby will be treated like family—because that's what they are to me. Thanks + chat soon! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be fully present for pets throughout the day. I structure my time around their needs—consistent feeding, exercise, and companionship. I'm attuned to subtle behavioral changes and love to provide enrichment activities, like puzzle games and outdoor play. Your Pet-Baby would never be alone for long stretches. I provide care exclusively in your Pet-Baby's home, maintaining their established routine—feeding schedules, favorite spots, and walking routes. I treat your home with respect, following instructions carefully. I keep pets safely indoors unless directed otherwise, ensure doors and gates are secure, and send regular updates with photos for your peace of mind. I also provide light housekeeping during my stay, so that you return to a clean home.
“Jesse was super flexible and took care of my baby with last minute notice! Knowing that he was getting attention and exercise from Jesse put this new dog mom at ease while being at work. Will definitely be a regular of Jesse’s clients!”

About: I was born with 2 Dachshunds in the family that I wrestled within my first years of learning to crawl and have lived with a dog most years of my life. I once had a Doberman Pincher whom I raised & turned into a service dog in the Air Force when I was given an overseas assignment and couldn't take him. For years I had a diabetic Chow Chow that I could leave in the back of a convertible car with the roof down on Hollywood Blvd by the Chinese Theater while I went to a show and knew the car and puppy would be as I left them hours earlier (Note: that was the 1990s... Hollywood Blvd. is a different animal now). I’ve tackled Pit Bulls mistaking my 5 lb. Chihuahua for a squirrel. I’ve crossed paths with multiple coyotes with my Chi’s in the Presidio & have great accuracy throwing rocks. I'm an IT engineer who works at home and sits long periods & my dogs absolutely motivate me to exercise with them daily and there are many places to do so in Dog City, USA! I've been working remotely and keep my pups with me. We exercise daily at the beach, Presidio or at any of the great parks in the area. We would go to Ocean Beach more often if not for all of the stinky stuff that washes up on shore that they just can't resist rolling around in (a dead walrus tops a skunk's stink by a mile) necessitating a bath(s).... in tomato juice? Safety is critical! I have a fenced yard which makes dogs possible in the city. They are never exposed to the street, so there’s zero chance of a mishap with escaping. I usually take my McNab/Border Collies (who were raised by Chihuahuas 😊) to Crissy Field, the Presidio, the Beach or Golden Gate dog park daily, so my dogs are quite social
About: I have a dog of my own who is nine years old. I can feed play games and walk he or she. i have some experience with dog and cat sitting but I do love dog. I will take care of your dog like they are mine. I can also clean up after the dogs. I pretty much just hang out with your dogs as a great friend for a few hours if walking is not your dogs thing. I’ll play with them in the house or backyard. Im currently doing pet sitting outside of rover. I would be taking a bus to your house. Would stay overnight if 3 miles away from my own home. I would not be able to stay 24/7. However, I can stay up to five hours in the morning starting at 8 am, taking them on a one hour walk. if in a crate, I can leave them for six to eight hours during the day. The evening time would be starting at 7 pm for four hours, with an 30 minute walk before overnight crating time at 10:30 pm. During the rest of those hours I will be playing and feeding the pets. Of course I will take into account what your pets schedule is and work around that. During a house sitting, I would take your dog on a morning walk for an hour and then in the afternoon or afternoon I would walk them for 30 minutes if you don’t have a yard. Feed them twice daily with some treats. I would play, and pet your dog and cats. During a check in, I can simply feed and play with them for 30 minutes.

“Aron was a life saver when our normal dog walker unexpectedly had surgery and needed to be out for a few weeks. He came everyday and worked around our tough schedule. Maru clearly had a great time with him and came back happy and tired each time. We’d use Aron again in a heartbeat!”

“Jacqueline is so great with Bullet! She’s very prompt when it comes to picking him up for his walks. Excellent communicator and flexible. When I get home at the end of the day my little one is calm and satisfied.”

“Brianna was able to jump into action and help me with our dog last minute when another sitter canceled - she is super attentive and great to work with!”

Presidio Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Angela is so great with our little Brussels Griffon! He can get into moods where he really doesn’t want to go on a walk but a little sniffari and some outside time is good for him! Angela is so patient and seems to really adore him. She works with him to slowly do a lap while he is in a lazy mood. Very grateful to have found her!

Vivian is great as always. I took a break from scheduling walks when I was unemployed but now Winston is back with Vivian. Winston is super shy and hesitant with strangers but he is becoming more comfortable with Vivian on every walk which shows how much care and patience is put into each walk. Thanks for being so thoughtful with Winston!

Finding a dog walker who is both reliable and truly patient is rare. Ella has been very helpful and easy to coordinate with and have shown incredible patience with Olive as she sometimes takes time to warm up to other people. It’s clear they genuinely care about the animals they work with.

Ben always takes excellent care of my Maisel on walks. We used him as a regular walker for several months while my work schedule shifted around. He is reliable, highly communicative and very patient with dogs. Maisel always came back tired and happy 😊 wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ben!

Dana was awesome. She was professional, warm, and genuinely friendly from the start. She arrived right on time, followed all directions carefully, and carried herself with a confidence that immediately put me (and my dog) at ease. My dog was visibly excited to see her and came home happily tired and relaxed after their walk — always the best sign. Dana was communicative and prompt throughout. I would absolutely book her again.

Georgia is the BEST! She was so responsive, punctual, and went above and beyond making sure that all aspects of the dog walk--from working out logistics with me, to specifically going out of her way to take my pup to her favorite places--not only met my needs, but truly put me at ease trusting her while I was away. I would book Georgia again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her!
