About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have always been very involved in caring for and working with them. My dad works with and trains police dogs, so I’ve been around dog handling and training for as long as I can remember. My own dog is trained in search and rescue, which has given me experience with active, high drive dogs and understanding canine behavior more deeply. I’m also involved in a research lab focused on olfaction in dogs, so animals are a huge part of both my personal life and academic interests. Because of this background, I’m very comfortable with different dog personalities, energy levels, routines, and handling styles, and I genuinely love spending time with them I’m currently home for the summer with a pretty flexible schedule, so I have lots of time for walks, playtime, drop-ins, and giving pets attention throughout the day. I’m an active person and love spending time with dogs, whether that’s walks, playing outside, or just hanging out and keeping them company. I’m also very responsive and good about sending updates and photos while you’re away :) I’ve been around dogs and dog training my entire life, so safety and understanding dog behavior are both very important to me. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I always pay close attention to routines, leash safety, body language, and making sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their environment. I also know how important trust and communication are, so I keep owners updated regularly and care for every pet like they’re my own.

“Emma kept our fur family happy and That’s not easy with 2 dogs (one is blind) and 3 cats that don’t always get along. Our fur family needs special attention and it was obvious each one of them got what they needed. Also, The house was in great shape which is another plus. We highly recommend Emma.”

No rigid 9-to-5, which means your dog isn’t an afterthought squeezed into a lunch break. I adapt to you and your dog’s needs. I live near Golden Gate Park and an excellent dog park, so walks are always fun and never an afterthought.

“Maria was a wonderful petsitter for our senior dog, Heath. She took great care of him, and he was happy and healthy when we got back, which is what we care about most. We also really appreciated how she looked after our house, leaving it neat and exactly as we left it. Since we were out of cell service, Maria had to switch between our Garmin InReach, a messaging app, and regular cell service to send us updates. She managed all of this perfectly and we really appreciated her keeping us informed. Maria was a pleasure to work with, and we would be happy to have her back in the future.”
