“Marion was absolutely incredible—truly a 5-star experience from start to finish. She stepped in on very short notice to care for my cat Betty and a newly found cat, Ginger, and handled everything with such professionalism and kindness. She made sure all medications were given properly, kept up with their daily routines, and spent quality time playing with them so they felt comfortable and cared for. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I especially appreciated the regular photo updates and her clear, consistent communication—it made being away so much easier. Marion went above and beyond in every way, and I can confidently say she’s the best sitter I’ve ever had. Highly, highly recommend!”

“My dog sitter got sick and had to cancel at the last minute, so found Shihua close to my leave date. She was nothing but responsive, came over for a meet and greet, asked all the right questions, etc. My dog took to her sweet and kind personality, got lots of updates, and the 4-day sit went great! She also left the house in tip-top shape! I would definitely use Shihua again and recommend her without question.”

“This was the first time Kristin sat with my dog Lucy, who is a rescue initially mistrusting of "new people." To my relief, after the initial encounter, Lucy was OK with Kristin and I felt good about leaving them together for a short weekend. Kristin has a sweet, easy-going temperament that would help any pet get comfortable. She took good care of Lucy as well as my home and sent me pictures and reports about their walks. I definitely recommend Kristin.”

“Ashley was absolutely incredible! Not only was she an amazing house guest and kept our home clean and safe, but our cat Pluto instantly adored her (and he’s a scaredy cat). Ashley was incredibly responsible and communicative. She sent daily pictures/videos with updates, and followed all instructions perfectly. I highly recommend, and will definitely be booking again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young. My oldest memories include playing with my family labs who were sweet, silly, treat-loving dogs. About 15 years ago, my family adopted Clover, a Schnauzer-Poodle who loves basking in the sun. More recently, my family adopted Theo, a chocolate lab who loves playing with his toys and running around outside. I have always enjoys playing with dogs, taking them in walks, or simply lounging by their side on a cozy night in. Throughout my childhood and into college, I was always taking care of dogs and cats to help out my neighbors. In 2024, I moved in with roommates and an orange cat who I have watched many times while my roommates are out of town. Since 2025, I have been regularly house and pet sitting for a lovely dog and cat, and am looking to expand my pet-care opportunities. I love spending time with animals and appreciate that each animal has their own personality and boundaries. I have some training skills, and have taken care of some senior pets as well. I have watched over some reactive dogs, but prefer taking care of dogs that are calmer and approachable. I currently work full time remotely, so I have ample time to walk dogs between meetings and tasks. My work schedule is flexible. I am an early riser so can get in a walk before work as well. I can accommodate most days, with limitations on Mondays and Wednesday evenings. Let’s chat more about your needs and scheduling. When caring for pets, I try to keep their routine consistent and follow all instructions provided by the owners to ensure they stay safe and comfortable. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and movement based on their personality. I also keep the home tidy and clean. Communication is important to me, I’m always happy to send updates on how things are going. My ultimate goal is to make sure that both the pet and owner feel confident with my care.
“Emily is just great!! She had a natural ease and care with my little one that shows how much she understands and loves dogs. It was so easy to trust my dog and home to her care. Excellent communication in both planning and day-of. Don’t hesitate to hire her!”

“Satine was great. She was highly communicative, responsive and took the dog all over town! I have rarely seen Zorro happier in his photos. Satine left my home sparkling clean and Zorro was relaxed when I found him. I look forward to working with her again”

“Cannot say enough good things about Dionie. He takes the best care of our puppy, Fern. Being 4 months old, Fern is a handful, requires extra time, and Dionie goes above and beyond to ensure all her needs are met. He also is great with our cat, Philip! Dionie is prompt, communicative, and gives great updates throughout the day that make us wish we were there. Would recommend Dionie to anyone to take great, responsible care of their pets and will absolutely have him watch Philip and Fern again anytime! .”

About: I've had about 30 dogs throughout my life. My last dog Lola was a fully trained service dog. I seem to understand dogs and they understand me. I've never been bitten, and I'm well-versed in training dogs in a very kind and gentle way. I've always dreamed of being a dog sitter and finally, at this point in my life, I have the time to fulfill my lifelong dream. I'm responsible, and physically fit which allows me to handle multiple dogs when necessary. If the owner wants their dog to go on a long hike or a brisk walk it's something I can easily provide. This allows me to work with dogs of all ages and sizes. I've had experience in training many types of dogs including crate training puppies. I specialize in working with larger dogs typically in the 50 to 90+ lbs range. I watch my partner's 90 lbs dog regularly and I also watch two of her children's dogs which are 90 and 70 lbs. I have two daughters who grew up with many dogs from puppies to fully grown rescue dogs. There are many children who have never learned how to approach and interact with dogs. One of my passions is helping children learn how to approach a dog and learn the proper way to interact and get to know them. Especially, those who are scared and unfamiliar with the behaviors of different dogs. I'm primarily a writer and still do some IT Consultant project work. Taking care of dogs gives me the freedom to do the two things I love the most. Writing and hanging out with dogs. I have the freedom to be available when needed by the dog owner and have a very flexible schedule. I live in the Outer Richmond. I'm just a few blocks away from Lands End, Ocean Beach, and Golden Gate Park. I prefer to work with clients in the Presidio. Lincoln Park. Inner, Central, and Outer Richmond. Seaclift, Inter, Central, and Outer Sunset. Most of my work is done at the client's home and in the area. I'm very respectful of a client's home and property. My references can attest to the fact that I keep things clean and orderly. It's my policy to leave a client's home exactly as they left it. I have a clean and safe fenced-in backyard. While I live in a large 3-bedroom 2-bath flat I believe most dogs would enjoy the environment around me and not being stuck inside. I specialize in working with large dogs typically between 50 and 90 lbs. I've had well over 30 dogs throughout my life and have trained many of them. I fundamentally believe that a dog should have the most enjoyable life possible. They have a relatively short life span and should be allowed to be dogs within certain limits. In addition, I will always follow the directions given to me by the owner.

“Mariah was wonderful with my two dogs and cat this week. She bonded with them instantly, took amazing care of them, and made sure they got plenty of walks and little adventures. She was also very communicative, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I truly felt my babies were in great hands and would absolutely trust her with them again. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Tobin did an in house stay for 5 days. He was terrific and left my house in better shape then when I left. I have 2 active springer spaniels and 3 cats. This groups is a handful. Tobin is a conscientious and organize pet sitter. My neighbors reported that he was diligent in the dogs 4 to 5 mile daily exercise. Next time I have Tobin visit I will leave my animals with much peace of mind.”

“Alison was terrific! She came through at the last minute, and took great care of our pup. Communication was perfect, and she even left some separation-anxiety puppy music on for our guy.”
“Jen was prompt and professional in her communication, and took excellent care of our shy cat, Shay. She is an obvious cat-lover and brought our timid cat out of her shell! I would definitely reach out to Jen again for future bookings.”

About: Hi, this is Bryan! I have a 5 year-old Yorkie boy (and a cat). We go on walks 3-4 times a day, we clean our face, paws, pp, and butt after each walk. While my dog is a couch-potato when he’s with me, he enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs, big or small. Hair brushing can be therapeutic. My professional background is Marketing, Branding, and Communications. So communication is a big thing for me. I like clear instructions, asking questions, providing updates, etc. Look forward to connecting and helping you with your fur babies! I’m currently a full-time stay home pet parent. So my schedule is highly flexible. It would be great if my 8 lb Yorkie can tag along, but not a must. Also, it would be ideal if I can reserve 3-5 hours/day away from your house during house sitting, to run errands or grab dinner with my husband. Let’s chat and find out the best schedule that works for us. Communications is key. I’m willing to accommodate your requests in taking special care for your pet because you know them the best, and each pet has their own likes and dislikes.
“I cannot recommend Brie enough! She took care of my dog Matty for 8 days over Christmas, and I’m so grateful for the amazing care she provided. Brie was incredibly knowledgeable about dogs and made me feel completely at ease leaving Matty in her care. She sent regular updates and pictures, which helped me relax while I was away. When I needed to extend his stay for an extra day, Brie was flexible and accommodating, which was much appreciated. Additionally, Brie was very respectful of my home and left everything clean and tidy. I will absolutely be using her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter. Thank you, Brie!”

“Kimberly is awesome! She’s friendly and outgoing yet professional. We felt comfortable with her from the moment we met her and confident that she would take care of our puppy in the manner of which we were accustomed. Don’t hesitate to give her a call. We will be doing so whenever we’re in town. :)”

“Mike was amazing! He navigated Maiseys high energy and dog reactivity with ease, sent so many pictures and videos and took her on long nature walks! Will absolutely be booking with Mike again!”

“Femke was the best! She clicked with Fernet immediately and from the photos she sent, he spent most of our trip on her lap :). Femke was incredibly communicative and made sure we had daily updates with photos and videos of thier adventures. Would definitely book again!”

“Sarah was a great sitter and I would definitely book with her again. I booked on short notice and she was very accommodating of my arrival and departure times which were a bit in flux. I came back to a clean house and a happy pup. Thanks Sarah!”

Outer Richmond pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nicky did a great job with our large anxious german shephard, very social cat and two birds. He even went above and beyond caring for the birds making their cages nice and clean. Our shephard became comfortable with him quickly and Nicky followed our instructions well and was very communicative.

This was our first time booking with Claire, so I was definitely a little nervous at first leaving Cosmo with someone new, but it honestly worked out so well. She sent daily updates with tons of photos and videos which made us feel really comfortable knowing our baby was home getting spoiled and loved. Cosmo looked so happy in every video doing his little zoomies, and when we got home he was healthy, happy, and clearly very well taken care of. She also kept the house super clean which we really appreciated. So glad we found Claire and the definitely book her again.

Mariah is wonderful! She is trustworthy, responsible, kind, and an excellent communicator. She took great care of our two high energy border collies. She also left our home even cleaner than we left it! Mariah is such a sweet person and a natural with animals. Highly recommend!

We had such a fantastic experience with Jacob! He was incredibly communicative throughout the weekend, sending us plenty of pics and updates that gave us total peace of mind. Louis can sometimes be cautious with new people and it was obvious he was well-cared for and had a great weekend too. Jacob even taught him a little behavioral training for barking we will now adopt into our lives! We already plan to rebook with Jacob and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!

Satine is such a great personality. I am so glad to have found her. She took extra care of my dog and cat, and for the first time, I could see that my kids did not miss me. Satine!! We loved having you here and hope to book with you again. Care- 5 Star Attention to detail- 5 Star Adjusting to the dog's schedule- - 5 Star Cleanliness of the house- - 5 Star It was an absolute pleasure and I wish you all the best. Do great in life
Melissa was absolutely fantastic! She took incredible care of Bizmark and made the entire experience stress-free from start to finish. Her communication was outstanding and she consistently sent thoughtful updates, notes, and photos so I always knew how everything was going. It was clear how much care and attention she put into takling care of Bizmark. On top of that, she left my apartment incredibly clean and well taken care of, which I truly appreciated coming home to. Melissa went above and beyond in every way, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional sitter on Rover!

We are so grateful for the amazing care Roxanne gave Loki over the past two weeks. She is incredibly caring, kind, and attentive, and treated Loki like her own. She followed his schedule carefully, kept us updated, and made sure he stayed happy, active, and comfortable the entire time. Loki can be particular, and she went above and beyond to understand his routine and needs. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands while we were away. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely loving with dogs.
