Dog Walking Marina

About: I've loved dogs my entire life - in fact, my family dog, whom I had from age 1-16, will forever be the love of my life. Since then, I've been volunteering at shelters, fostering over 30 puppies, and helping take care of others fur babies. I know how much we love our pets, and I am so honored people have chosen to trust me to take care of them. It's not something I take lightly - I treat all dogs how I would treat my own: with tons of butt scratches, cuddles and by taking a million photos :) On a short sabbatical between jobs so spending a lot of time going for long walks/runs! When I WFH I love to spend part of my lunch time going for a long walk, and will have plenty of time to take potty breaks or some fun playtime! I try to do some outdoor activity everyday and would love to bring your pup along (assuming that's something they enjoy as well! I have spent a lot of time playing ball inside my apartment with my sisters dog who is a homebody) I am extremely cautious when I walk other people's dogs. I know other dogs can be unpredictable. I really prefer when dogs have a harness so that I don't put too much strain on their neck, and I don't use retractable leashes.

About: Hello ! Although I am new to Rover, I've taken care of dogs and cats most of my life and have always had a natural connection with them. When they're in my care I treat them as if they are my own babies. In recent years I have often taken care of my sister's dog Juniper. We have a special bond and she's taught me so much about being a dog aunt :) I helped train her as a puppy and watching her grow up has been a source of so much joy in my life. Many people have observed my warm way with animals especially cats and dogs. I am very attentive, affectionate and protective with them. With that said I also know how to read them and respect their space/needs. I am currently finishing up my degree this Fall semester and have class once a week. I am flexible most of the week including weekends. I am available to dog or cat sit. If your dog or cat has special needs I am able to provide basic support and care. I am also available for dog walking services as well.

About: I grew up with my parents Bichons and loved caring for them. I am currently a dog father to a 6 year old golden retriever Penny who is full of energy and love to give. Penny & I love making new dog friends too. My girlfriend Mel and I are in between jobs at the moment and have lots of time during the day to hang out with your dog!! We love going on adventures around San Francisco with our dog Penny. Most mornings and mid weekdays are the best for us. I have a crate if needed for your dog but otherwise they will be very well looked after in our home, mainly playing at the park or going on adventures if they’re up for it.

About: I’ve had small dogs since I was little, but I rescued my soul dog, Leica, from Muttville in 2017. Over the years, I administered lots of cheese pills and brushed the few teeth he had. We went on lots of adventures from the office to the beach and mountains. Unfortunately his last 6 months were fraught with a neurological disorder. I believe it’s a honor to care for senior dogs and keep them comfortable as a small return of the love they given. While it was a honor, it was not easy and it gave me a deep understanding of the needs of senior dogs. I love all dogs but the little old ones are extra special to me ❤️ Any dog or cat I care for, I will do so with 100% attention, love, respect for them and your home, and routines. Because I really do care so deeply about their health and safety, I will not be caring for more than one pet at a time. And of course as a long time Rover customer, I know clear communication and photos are essential. Looking forward to meeting you, your pet, and happy to answer any questions you have! Currently working remote so I can flex my day more or less to your dog’s walk and feed routine. Usually around 8:30, 12:30, and 5:30. We’ll relax or play in the evening depending on their temperament. I have no other pets and many options for areas of my apartment where they can be set up to feel at home. No backyard but very close to the park. Up three flights of stairs but happy to carry smaller dogs if that’s what they need. I also still have a dog stroller for less mobile friends! For their safety I won’t ever let them off leash.

About: Hello! First of all, I have no pets of my own, and I don't book multiple clients—yours would be the only one (or ones, if you have more than one). I grew up with cats, usually four or more at a time (thanks, Mom!), so I've been around them my whole life. Recently I've been cat sitting for friends' cats at my place, and I figured I'd start doing the same on Rover until I get my own pair soon. I'm very comfortable with both cats and dogs, and they always get along with me. I'm a WFH software engineer, so I'm home and around throughout the day. I have a great place for cats to chill: big windows overlooking the street and park, with a perch and lots of light—great for people watching and dog spying, if they're into that sort of thing. There's a good spot for a litter box, and I'm prompt with feeding and fresh water. My place is cozy and quiet, with lots of light, good views, and a calm atmosphere that puts cats at ease. There are plenty of spots for a shy cat to hide and decompress until they're comfortable, and I never rush that process. It's a secure indoor space—no open windows or balconies to worry about—so I can keep a close eye on things and make sure your cat stays safe and relaxed the whole stay.

About: I've had pets since I was an infant, and grew up on a farm so I’m comfortable with all sorts. I'm an animal lover in general. Big fan of taking dogs on long walks , I always enjoy meeting new dogs when I'm out hiking and such. I have experience dog sitting and dog walking, and having been doing both of those since ~2009 My home is a 1 bedroom apartment in the Marina so I can be available for hosting pets if desired , though probably limited to 2 maximum. Breeds I've interacted with extensively : Golden Retriever, Cavapoo, Beagle, Maltese, Pomeranian Poodle, Labrador Retriever, German Shepard, Pug, and Yorkshire Terrier I wfh full time -- so I'm fully available for dog walking and drop in visits etc. I have availability for multiple regulars and a handful of random booklngs. In my home your pets will be welcome on my furniture for a good cuddle. There's also plenty of good places around to go for a walk, or dog parks available to play at.

About: I grew up with dogs and love them. I have taken care of many neighbors/friends’ pets. I’d love to help with dog walking or pet sitting! I currently work 8-5pm in Downtown San Francisco Monday thru Thursday. I am available on weeknights and weekends for dog walking & sitting in the Marina District, Cow Hollow and Russian Hill. I love dogs and would be more than happy to care for your pet as you would! I don’t currently have a dog-friendly apartment, but would be open to caring for your pet in your home if needed!

About: I always help take care of my brother’s dog and just love spending time with pets in general. Am taking a career break for the time being so would love to fill my spare time dog sitting! My schedule is super flexible right now as im taking a break from work! Would love to fill my time helping care for other pets (usually a cat mom but my cat is temporarily away for the next few months so I’m totally flexible!) I live in an elevator building with a patio (but no grass). The apartment is ~700sqft with one bedroom. I live by myself! The apartment has already been cat proofed since I usually have a cat with me

About: I've been the resident dog sitter for friends and family for over 5 years and grew up in a household of pets (cats + dogs). I live across the street from Moscone park in the marina district which makes for a very convenient and happy place for your pup’s staycation. 🐾 🐾 I'm very flexible during the weekdays as I'm not burdened by a 9-5. I can easily take dogs across the street to the park throughout the day + on errands with me around the marina. For in-home boarding: I live across the street from a very friendly park inclusive of a dog run and always follow an owners instructions on whether it's ok to allow their dog off leash or not. The longest I've left a dog alone is 4 hours in my apartment, though when I do, I always like to be sure they're comfy and cozy (ie. dog TV, the fan on, special treats, :)

Jonah has some quirks and has to be watched pretty carefully on walks around the neighborhood (he likes to graze) and Rachael has adapted so well to his walks and demand for pets!
