“Selena was amazing! I honestly can’t say enough good things about her!! My dog is usually really shy with new people, but she warmed up to her so quickly. She even noticed from my profile that my dog loves to play ball and took her to play fetch until she was happily tired out ( she’s a mini-Aussie, so this alone is a great feat 😂). I got tons of cute photos and updates throughout the walk that put me completely at ease. She even went the extra mile by cleaning my dog’s paws afterward. I could tell she really cared — highly recommend!”

“Yang is great! I've booked her a few times, and she has taken care of both my dog and cat. She is always on time, prompt on responding, and reliable. Additionally, she has been flexible and able to help me out in a pinch when I've needed to book last minute. We love Yang and (have already) recommend her to anyone who is looking to book a reliable/trustworthy pet sitter.”

About: I am a responsible, experienced dog/cat owner-lover and will treat yours like my own. I was raised in a family that had dogs including 3 dachshunds, a mutt, and a chow over the years. As an adult I have been the loving pet parent to three adult cats consecutively. Very comfortable around cats and dogs. Available for dog-walking, cat/dog drop-in's, and daytime extended stay drop-in's / house-sitting (no overnights). I have worked remotely for over ten years so have a very flexible schedule. Walking your dog or visiting your cat would be a pleasure and a chance for some fresh air and exercise. I do this for supplemental income during my free time and the opportunity to visit different neighborhoods. I am available daytime hours, not overnight (mid-morning til before sunset). I will give your cat or dog as much or little attention in your home as you (or they!) specify. Reliable, trustworthy. Not able to care for your pets at my home.
“Chriz was so great to agree to take our rambunctious 2-year-old Boston Terrier on a morning walk. She was punctual, kind, and great with our dog. Thanks, Chriz!”

“Andrea was wonderful with our dog! She always showed up promptly, followed all instructions carefully, and sent frequent updates that gave us so much peace of mind. She was patient in learning Hilo’s little quirks, and it’s clear she prioritizes his safety. Most importantly, our dog Hilo absolutely loves her! Would highly recommend Andrea’s pet services.”
About: I’m new to professional dog sitting, but I’ve always loved animals and enjoy spending time with them. I’m responsible, patient, and careful with instructions. Friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I treat every animal with kindness and pay close attention to their needs. I work part-time, so I have plenty of flexible hours for pet care. My schedule varies week to week, but I consistently have Wednesdays and Thursdays off, plus additional random days depending on my shifts. I’m reliable, communicative, and always update my availability so you’ll know exactly when I’m free. I don’t have the ability to host pets in my home, so all my services are at your location. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your instructions closely and keep their routine consistent. I pay attention to safety, double-check doors and gates, and make sure your pet feels calm, comfortable, and cared for.
About: Very Important Stuff: I take care of dogs up to 20 pounds. I will be home the whole time, and your dog will never be alone. Most importantly, l only take 1 dog at a time to be fully attentive to your dog's needs. I do not take dogs that have ongoing medical needs, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, or excessive barking. Your dog must be potty trained to go on a schedule. I also ask that your dog be up to date in vaccinations to ensure a healthy environment. Lastly, meet and greets are required for boarding for dogs that have never stayed overnight with me before; and I like to do it way ahead of your booking date so that you have the flexibility to find another sitter if we are not a good match. I strive for quality over quantity and prioritize good fit over just getting more bookings. I often take care of my friends' dogs at my place or drop in and walk their dogs. I helped raise my family dog, and now I’m raising my own dog. I know how hard it is to leave your fur baby with someone else, so I love sending pictures and updates while you’re away! I maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness in my home. The building I live in, along with the neighborhood, is very quiet. I walk dogs on leash at all times, never off leash outside. Because incidents or illness can happen at dog parks, I do not go to the dog park. I also do not allow any dog under my care to come into contact with unknown dogs.
About: I’ve been pet sitting since i was 15 for neighbors, family, and friends. I’ve mostly taken care of dogs, but also cats, lizards, and turtles. I’m currently doing morning shifts, so I can do most afternoons and evenings. I will be able to do occasional mornings on my days off from work. I am familiar with feeding, walking, administering medicine or other special treatments, and playing with pets to get there energy out! With more cautious animals, I like to take it slow, so that they know I am, first, their friend.
About: I've had pets my entire life and can't imagine life any other way. I have cared for cats, dogs, puppies, kittens, senior dogs, dogs with special needs, huge dogs, tiny dogs. I'm a firm believer that every dog can be a lap dog if your legs are strong enough! I have a 13-year-old dog myself who I absolutely adore, but he can only handle so many walks these days, which is why I'm excited to spend time with other pups who need the exercise and attention. Having worked with many dog walkers and sitters over the years, I know exactly what makes a great one: excellent communication, tons of photos (can there ever be too many?), detailed updates, and yes—even poop reports if you want them! I'm exceptionally reliable, detail-oriented, and organized. I currently have a flexible schedule while I'm between jobs, which means I can accommodate early mornings, afternoons evenings, or last-minute requests. Your pup will get individualized attention, plenty of exercise tailored to their energy level, or a snuggle at home if that's what they prefer, and you'll get peace of mind knowing they're in experienced, responsible hands! I'm currently job searching in tech, which means I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate walks throughout the day—mornings, midday, afternoons, or evenings. I have a 13-year-old dog at home who can't go on long walks anymore, so I'm excited to spend time with dogs who need more activity. Pet care fits naturally into my routine—it gets me out exploring SF, gives me structure during my search, and I genuinely enjoy it! I treat every pet and home with the same care I'd want for my own. For walks, I follow your routine and instructions, arrive on time, and adjust the pace and route based on your dog's needs that day. I'm attentive to their behavior, comfortable with basic commands, and can handle dogs with different temperaments. After walks, I make sure they have water and your home is locked up. For drop-in visits, I stick to your schedule—feeding, medications, bathroom breaks, playtime—and I don't rush through it. Your pet gets real attention and care, not just a quick check-in. I'm comfortable with cats and dogs, and I'll make sure litter boxes are clean and food/water bowls are fresh. I send updates and photos throughout so you know your pet is happy and cared for. I take security seriously—I'm careful about locking doors, being aware of surroundings, and I always have your emergency contact information with me. If anything seems off with your pet or your home, I'll contact you immediately.
“Zhoujue was great! She came and met Nala before the walk, and sent me an update on her timing and when she left, with lots of photos. Will definitely have her walk Nala again!”

About: I’m passionate about animals and have been caring for dogs and cats for many years. I also had two dogs for 10 years, so I know how much love and attention they need. I live in downtown San Francisco. I’m available full time to care for your pets as if they were my own. I work in the UCSF, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me to work mostly from home, which lets me dedicate the rest of my time to caring for animals I make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and exercise, and I follow any specific routines or instructions the owner provides to keep them happy and healthy.
“Shannon was great with Gus! He was always on time, accommodated for the rain and took him on a long 60 minute walk. Gus was excited to see him everyday. Shannon was very responsive and easy to work with!”

“Shefali is great! Our dog Nala gets so excited to go on walks with her and I appreciate her flexibility with scheduling, especially when the weather can be unpredictable.”

About: Hello, my name is Michelle, and I have 3 years experience pet sitting and dog walking for small, medium, and medium-large sized dogs. I have always loved animals, and over the years I have been trusted by many friends and family to care for their pets while they are out of town. I am very active, so I am happy to take dogs on longer walks, or play sessions depending on their energy level. For especially active breeds I also offer runs at a slightly higher rate. I understand that every pet is different. Some dogs want to explore and sniff everything, and others just want a calm walk or a little extra attention at home. Either way, I will make sure your animal is well cared for. As an 11-year vegan, I always treat animals with the kindness and compassion they deserve. I take pet care seriously and I always aim to be reliable, communicative, and respectful of your pets and your home. I am also happy to send photo updates so you know your pet is in good hands. I would love the chance to meet you and your furry companion, and I look forward to helping however I can! I just returned to the states after 3 months of travel. Looking to make extra income while still being able to enjoy the outdoors. Availability is completely open! I AM AVAILABLE VALENTINE’S DAY WEEKEND! My number one priority is pet safety. I also love engaging with dogs and keeping them active through play, walks or jogs (and extra treats) 🤭
About: I grew up with a dog my entire life and used to dog sit for my neighborhood. I adopted a beautiful sick senior dog in 2010 when she was 7. She came from an abusive home, lost her hearing and lost eye sight in one eye. I loved and cared for her until she had to leave this world in 2013. The vet expected her to pass away within the year, I think my extra love helped her reach 10! I would love to pass on my care to other dogs. I love all breeds and I have a variety of experience with dogs of all personality types. I like going for walks and playing, but I am also there to pet, hug, and love your dog. I am also able to help with training - I only practice Positive Training. I will give you all the details of my visit, including taking pictures of your furry loved one. I work a flexible schedule so happy to watch dogs whenever YOU need!
Financial District dog parents share their Rover experiences
Andrea was wonderful with our dog! She always showed up promptly, followed all instructions carefully, and sent frequent updates that gave us so much peace of mind. She was patient in learning Hilo’s little quirks, and it’s clear she prioritizes his safety. Most importantly, our dog Hilo absolutely loves her! Would highly recommend Andrea’s pet services.
Angela was wonderful on her very first walk with my dog. She was calm, attentive, and immediately put me at ease with how thoughtfully she approached him. My dog is young and high-energy, and Angela handled him confidently while still being gentle and patient. She communicated clearly, followed instructions closely, and took the time to make sure my dog was comfortable rather than rushing through the walk. I really appreciated how observant she was—she paid attention to his cues and energy level, which says a lot even from just one visit. Based on this first experience, I’d absolutely recommend Angela and look forward to having her walk my dog again. It’s clear she takes her role seriously and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with.

Valeria was great! She was on time, very communicative, and kept me updated throughout the walk with photos and thoughtful messages, which I really appreciated. It was clear from the start how caring she is and how much she genuinely loves animals. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog Cal was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Valeria to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and kind dog walker, and I look forward to booking her again.

Tapan was absolutely great at walking Maui, there were absolutely no hitches with the instructions and he went above and beyond in taking care of Maui. He even asked me if she needs to be fed anything mid day when I was at work. It really shows his love and care for animals and I would boom Tapan again!!

Claire is an excellent dog walker! She met with Lucy and I for a meet and greet walk and really listened about our dogs unique habits, what commands to use and things to avoid. She was already looking out for "street snacks" of dropped food and keeping our dog from eating them. She has experience with reactive dogs and how to avoid them while walking Lucy. She was great with sending us updates each day after each walk. She even texted us when Lucy had some muddy paws from pouncing on dirt at the park and cleaned her paws off when she dropped her back off at our house (something we really appreciate with our white rug). 5/5 stars, 100% would book again.

We had such a wonderful first experience with Marissa. We actually met her at a dog park last week and we were immediately struck by how naturally our dog connected with her. When we learned she was on this app, we downloaded it and created an account just so we could hire her. We have never used a dog walking service before, so we were a little nervous, but Marissa completely put us at ease. She is incredibly loving, attentive and clearly understands dogs. She followed all of our instructions perfectly and was an absolute joy to work with. Our experience could not have been better, and we are already looking forward to booking Marissa again very soon. We feel so lucky to have found her.
