“Jennifer is absolutely amazing. Incredibly thorough, responsive, and an incredibly kind person. We had no worries while we were away thanks to Jennifer! Chuck is looking forward to next time already! 😁”

About: While the rest of my family is remarkably allergic to just about anything with fur, I’ve been the odd one out, and able to interact with all kinds of furry friends. I spent a large amount of time during my childhood helping my pediatrician take care of, and walking, their two dogs, a Great Dane, and a Pitbull. Both dogs ended up adoring me, and this eventually extended to any friendly dog I’ve encountered since. My current work situation has me free to provide care for any furry or fuzzy friends most days in the week, with the only limits being some personal commitments on Fridays and Weekends. I follow all provided instructions regarding the pet to the letter, and make sure to check-in with the owners when possible. I make absolutely sure that the pet is comfortable, cared for, and safe for the entire time I’m providing care

About: I've had about 30 dogs throughout my life. My last dog Lola was a fully trained service dog. I seem to understand dogs and they understand me. I've never been bitten, and I'm well-versed in training dogs in a very kind and gentle way. I've always dreamed of being a dog sitter and finally, at this point in my life, I have the time to fulfill my lifelong dream. I'm responsible, and physically fit which allows me to handle multiple dogs when necessary. If the owner wants their dog to go on a long hike or a brisk walk it's something I can easily provide. This allows me to work with dogs of all ages and sizes. I've had experience in training many types of dogs including crate training puppies. I specialize in working with larger dogs typically in the 50 to 90+ lbs range. I watch my partner's 90 lbs dog regularly and I also watch two of her children's dogs which are 90 and 70 lbs. I have two daughters who grew up with many dogs from puppies to fully grown rescue dogs. There are many children who have never learned how to approach and interact with dogs. One of my passions is helping children learn how to approach a dog and learn the proper way to interact and get to know them. Especially, those who are scared and unfamiliar with the behaviors of different dogs. I'm primarily a writer and still do some IT Consultant project work. Taking care of dogs gives me the freedom to do the two things I love the most. Writing and hanging out with dogs. I have the freedom to be available when needed by the dog owner and have a very flexible schedule. I live in the Outer Richmond. I'm just a few blocks away from Lands End, Ocean Beach, and Golden Gate Park. I prefer to work with clients in the Presidio. Lincoln Park. Inner, Central, and Outer Richmond. Seaclift, Inter, Central, and Outer Sunset. Most of my work is done at the client's home and in the area. I'm very respectful of a client's home and property. My references can attest to the fact that I keep things clean and orderly. It's my policy to leave a client's home exactly as they left it. I have a clean and safe fenced-in backyard. While I live in a large 3-bedroom 2-bath flat I believe most dogs would enjoy the environment around me and not being stuck inside. I specialize in working with large dogs typically between 50 and 90 lbs. I've had well over 30 dogs throughout my life and have trained many of them. I fundamentally believe that a dog should have the most enjoyable life possible. They have a relatively short life span and should be allowed to be dogs within certain limits. In addition, I will always follow the directions given to me by the owner.
“Kay was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Chicory, this past weekend! From the very first message, she was incredibly reliable and professional. What we appreciated most was her communication—she gave great feedback and kept us updated the whole time. It was clear that Chicory was in excellent hands, which allowed us to really relax.”

“Nicole was awesome, and my usually shy cat, Chloe, warmed up to her immediately. Nicole was very flexible and accommodating, and she sent very cute, playful photos of Chloe while I was away at a conference. I would highly recommend her services and will definitely be rebooking her.”

About: I have spent the last 4+ years working as a professional dog walker - walking a pack of up to 8 off leash dogs in beautiful San Francisco. My love for dogs was shaped by the amazing dogs I grew up with in Berkeley, CA. After majoring in sociology I decided to dedicate my life to understanding canines instead of humans, oops! I currently walk a pack of dogs M-F 10-3. Possibly have openings to add to the crew or open to walks outside of those time parameters. Availability for boarding at my apt or house sitting. I live in an apartment 2 blocks from GGP, 2 blocks from Lands End, and 10 blocks from Ocean Beach. When I watch a pet they become apart of my family - I treat them with lots of love and the utmost care.
About: I have cared for cats and dogs my whole life. When I was little I had a Maltese and yorkie and then we had two pit bulls. so I am comfortable caring for both large and small pups! I am available mon-fri and occasional weekends upon request. I recently finished my graduate degree and am using dog walking as a way to support myself while job searching. I can care for pets in clients home. I am unable to take pets to my home as I have my own cats that are not socialized to dogs
“Nicole is absolutely fantastic! She has watched my cat multiple times and takes such good care of him. She sends so many cute photos and is a great communicator. My cat is very shy and scared of most people, but he loves Nicole and warmed up to her super quickly!”

About: Hi, this is Bryan! I have a 5 year-old Yorkie boy (and a cat). We go on walks 3-4 times a day, we clean our face, paws, pp, and butt after each walk. While my dog is a couch-potato when he’s with me, he enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs, big or small. Hair brushing can be therapeutic. My professional background is Marketing, Branding, and Communications. So communication is a big thing for me. I like clear instructions, asking questions, providing updates, etc. Look forward to connecting and helping you with your fur babies! I’m currently a full-time stay home pet parent. So my schedule is highly flexible. It would be great if my 8 lb Yorkie can tag along, but not a must. Also, it would be ideal if I can reserve 3-5 hours/day away from your house during house sitting, to run errands or grab dinner with my husband. Let’s chat and find out the best schedule that works for us. Communications is key. I’m willing to accommodate your requests in taking special care for your pet because you know them the best, and each pet has their own likes and dislikes.
About: I grew up in a home where we regularly dog sat for neighbors and other families, so dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m probably more comfortable around dogs than I am around most humans. I have several years of dog walking and pet sitting experience (dogs, cats, small animals), and I've lived with large dogs and helped with their daily care. I really love big breeds, but I'm happy with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Long walks are already part of my daily life, and without fail I end up making a new dog friend whenever I’m out. I always joke that dogs can somehow sense how badly I want to be their friend. What I enjoy most is getting to know each pet’s personality and quirks. I stay tuned in to their energy and adjust to what they need: a long adventure, some active play, or just a slow walk and good company. I'm currently between jobs, which means my schedule is wide open and flexible. Mornings, afternoons, evenings, last-minute requests...chances are I can make it work. I'm already out on long walks every day anyway, it'd be infinitely better with a dog by my side! On walks, I defer to whatever the owner prefers (leash habits, routes, pace) and stay attentive to my surroundings so their dog is always safe. When I'm in someone's home, my goal is to keep things as normal as possible for their pet. I follow the owner's instructions closely and don't improvise on things like food, rules, or routines. I treat the home with respect, and I keep owners in the loop with updates and photos, because I know how much it helps to see that your pet is happy and doing well.
“Mikele was so thoughtful while caring for Leo & Luna. We are so appreciative of all the updates and photos we received while traveling. We would absolutely love to have them help out again!”

“Anais did a fantastic job with our cat! She immediately responded to my request and set up a meet and greet. She was punctual and responsive. She took care of all the care for Coco and brought in our mail too! She kept us updated with pictures and feedback. She even notified us of a gas smell in the house. I could see from the pictures and our return home that our cat was well cared for. We will ask Anais back anytime to care for our cat. She’s a gem!!”

About: I am a local SF resident, working for an environmental consultancy during the week and dog walking on the weeknights/weekends. I volunteered at the SPCA for a year, until I moved to the outer Richmond. I learned how to provide proper care to dogs of all ages, sizes, and behavioral levels. Growing up with dogs, they have always been a big part of my life so I'm happy to care for other's pets since I don’t have my own pups yet. For walks, I am attentive to your pet the entire time will make sure he/she is comfortable in every way. I will ensure your dog is engaged by petting them, playing outside, or playing with toys! I am flexible- I can keep up with fast pups OR set an easy pace, depending on your preference. I'm well versed in training dogs for nice walks! I work my full time job Monday through Friday, so my availability for dog walking is on my lunch breaks or evenings and Saturday and Sunday (any time). I am very accommodating with play time- we can play fetch, tug of war or just run around. As long as your dog is well behaved, I’m happy to bring him/her to more populated areas.
About: We’ve raised puppies and kittens and have experience caring for senior pets. We’re a fun, attentive couple who loves to play, stay active, and make pets feel safe, loved, and right at home. Since we both work from home, we’re able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. Walks, playtime, feeding, and care easily fit into our routine. We prioritize safety, comfort, and routine. We carefully follow feeding, walking, and care instructions, keep a clean environment, and make sure pets feel secure, supervised, and well-loved at all times.
About: Loving dog parent to a 3-year-old Rough Collie, experienced in daily walks, feeding, grooming, routines, and patient care, providing calm, reliable, home-style attention every weekend. “I work full-time during weekdays, but pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m available early mornings, evenings, and weekends, and I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent attention, walks, feeding, and companionship. I prioritize pet care commitments and only accept bookings I can fully support.” “Safety and trust are my top priorities. I’m a dog parent myself and understand daily routines, supervision, and consistency. I follow each pet’s care instructions closely, keep doors and leashes secure, and ensure calm, attentive care. In my home, dogs are welcomed into a clean, dog-friendly space alongside my well-socialized Rough Collie. In clients’ homes, I respect their space, follow routines exactly, and provide regular updates for peace of mind.”

About: I focus on structured, consistent care with every walk. Each outing is approached the same way; calm, well-paced, and tailored to the dog in front of me. I work with a range of dogs, including seniors who prefer shorter, slower routines, and I’m attentive to how each dog settles into their environment over time. I’m registered with the City of San Francisco and certified in Pet First Aid & CPR, with safety built into every outing. What sets me apart is reliability and consistency. I keep a steady schedule, communicate clearly, and aim to provide a routine both you and your dog can count on. I’m a certified dog walker based in San Francisco, and my foundation is built around straightforward, reliable care. After spending time in the tech world, I shifted into work that’s more hands-on and consistent — something that fits both how I work and how dogs thrive. I focus on showing up on time, paying attention, and keeping routines familiar. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their pace, energy level, and comfort cues. Safety and clear communication are priorities, and I aim to make things easy and predictable for both you and your best friend. I’m located in the Richmond District and currently serve the surrounding neighborhoods, with plans to expand into the Sunset District. Staying local allows me to be dependable and build ongoing relationships rather than one-off visits. I live with dogs of my own and have experience across different sizes and personalities. I spent ten years with my German Shepherd, Dexter, and now share my life with two rescue pups — Gnocchi, a small poodle–chihuahua mix, and Sprout, a medium-sized shepherd mix. That day-to-day experience helps me understand what dogs actually need, not just what looks good on paper. At the end of the day, I want to be someone you feel comfortable reaching out to and confident trusting with your dog. Life happens. Sit Happens. Your dog still gets the care they deserve.
“This is the second year in a row that Katie took great care of our cats (and during the holidays too)! Would definitely recommend working with her. Thanks Katie!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Seacliff
Cameron has done drop in visits for my 2 cats twice now and it’s been very good. My cats both like her which is not always the case for them. She gives updates and always accommodates any requests I have. She has also brought in packages for me and cleans around the litter box and food bowls which is nice. I’d definitely recommend Cameron and book again

super communicative and knowledgeable! Nicole regularly sent me pictures of my dog, Duo, and provided updates. He's normally a shy/nervous guy, but he relaxed around Nicole more quickly than he has with past dog sitters/walkers. Nicole has a good handling on dog behavior and was great with my reactive boy. 5/5 no notes. would book again!

Olivia was great. We had her do a couple of drop in visits for us and she sent great pictures and updates. Between our meet and greet and the booking our dog ended up on a couple different medicines and she gave them to her with no problem at all, which was so appreciated!
