About: i was raised around dogs my entire life. i have a pup who is 3 years old who is like my baby. i know what it is like to have an animal that you love like a child & i want to help others out by treating their dogs like they’re family (: i am a stay at home mama at the moment. i have 3 years of experience working at a dog boarding and grooming shop as a kennel assistant 🤍 i have 2 fenced yards that are big enough for the doggos to run around in. there are many toys at my house for the dogs to play with and even have 2 friendly dogs for the pups to play with as well. my puppy is pretty active and wants to play constantly, she loves the comfort of another animal.
About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.
About: Grew up around cats my whole life and have just kind of always liked them I absolutely love animals and I heard I could make lots of cat friends on this app honestly I really just want to pamper everyone’s perfect babys and that’s why I’m here. Flexible/open. I bus so that’s something that needs to be kept in mind otherwise I’m free most days I have a job that’s in the slow season and I’m not getting any hours at it so I need to make money somehow. About: I enjoyed decades of loving and caring for my own dogs and cats, though their long, healthy lives. Through that I became familiar with medicating, training and creating happy lives for those lovable souls. Brittney is the absolute best for my cats! I usually worry when I have to leave home for any extended period. I don’t worry anymore! Brittney understands the needs of my older cat, as well as the needs of my skittish, middle aged cat. I can always tell they were just fine while I was gone because my older cat hadn’t peed once on her litter carpet to express her unhappiness, and my skittish girl welcomes me home right away (no hide and seek). Brittney understands the unique needs of each animal and takes as much time as it takes for them to feel comfortable. I love her so much because so do my cats, obviously 💙💙💙
Oh my goodness! I seriously could not be any happier about Katherine’s care and support. This visit was exactly what my puppy and I needed. Katherine was right on time and gave the care necessary and did everything I asked for. It definitely eased my anxiety to know my girl was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about. Ash took great care of my cats while out of town for a week. She listened to my concerns of being away from my furbabies and helped put those concerns to rest with great communication. She was also very receptive to my additional requests made throughout her drop-ins and was courteous to clean up after their kitty messes too. I’ll trust Ash any time I need a cat sitter!
