About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. My life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own pet services business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a sighthound, small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a thorough understanding of dog behavior and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining kind, calm and confident when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified, as well as bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared. I’m professional, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy and pride myself on practicing clear and transparent communication. I'm located in the East/SE Portland area, also near Happy Valley and Gresham, and I service most all surrounding areas. In addition to working with dogs, I'm also a part-time jewelry artist and I work out of my home studio. I make my own schedule and usually, always available. I can schedule around most everything. At my home, I have three small rescue dogs that are a bonded pack. We utilize pet gates in our one level, ranch style home, and dog run fencing in our large, fenced backyard. Open to small to small/medium dogs for boarding and daycare.

About: We are gentle, caring, and experienced pet parents ready to welcome your pet(s) into our home. I (Alex) have been caring for pets of family and friends for well over a decade. I once worked at the WSU veterinary school and have experience volunteering at vet clinics and fostering. I have always been passionate about animals of all shapes, sizes, and ages. My partner Dalton is a work from home dad to our three furbabies and one human baby. We have plenty of indoor and fenced outdoor space for your pet(s) to roam. Whether they want to cuddle up on the couch with us, or prefer a quiet, secluded space of their own, we can accommodate your pet's needs. Our goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in our home. If you need drop-in visits or dog walking, I have availability for that too! Don't hesitate to reach out with questions. We value open, frequent communication and would love a meet and greet with you and your pet(s) to see if we are a good fit. I work night shift in healthcare- I have several days off in a row every other week which is when I would be available for pet sitting. This includes weekends and weekdays, as well as some holidays. My partner works from home full-time so is available to help out as needed. We have a large one story home with plenty of lounge spaces for your pet to get comfortable. We also have a large fully fenced, grassy backyard. Our two elderly dogs are good with other dogs, but we also have the ability to give your pet(s) their own gated off space, or crate, if needed.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for over 35 years, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I've shared my life with beloved pets, cared for neighborhood animal friends, and welcomed animals into my home. After losing our family dog a couple of years ago, I've found so much joy in sharing that love with other animals. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for a beloved family member. About: Growing up I had pets but my family has had up to 7 animals at a time some with arthritis some needing special care so I'd be more than happy to accommodate any of your pets needs. I have some vet tech training, which includes being trained to look for Animals behaviour to make sure everything's okay with them, dealing with all types of pets, and proper care. I do have a job Monday through Friday 6am to 230pm. I currently work Monday through Friday 6 to 230. Outside of that I can and will make your animal or house my priority. I do not have an animal at this time so I will not have any conflicts with trying to balance your animal with my own. I understand each person has unique rules and expectations for their animals and house. I will do my best to respect any guy lands, and we have full disclosure of anything. I do not think I will be capable of handling.

“Anastasia is hands down the best person to leave your furry babies with. Our cat, George is a particular and crotchety old man cat who nibbles people. But not her. She was phenomenal with him. It’s often hard to trust someone to care for your pets the way you do, but Anastasia makes that easy to do. She followed all of George’s care instructions and made sure to give him all the love and treats and pets. I would book her a million times for every pet I’ve ever (and will ever) own. About: Animal care has been a central part of my life since I was a young child. It is important to me to go above and beyond to care for the animals in my life. I understand that pets are family. I will treat your pet like they are my own. I provide care in your home only, as my own kitty at home needs to have a safe space herself. I understand that animals need to feel comfortable and safe, especially while their owners are away. Maintaining their typical environment and routine is important. I have personal experience caring for reactive animals with unique medical needs. I am thorough, honest, and patient. I will keep you updated on your babies daily. P.S. I will petsit fish, bugs, and most mammals as well. Please don’t be afraid to reach out if you have a pet that is not a dog or a cat. I do charge for all animal care. I work from 4:30-9:30 every Tuesday & Friday then 1:30-9:30 every Monday & Thursday. If given 3 weeks in advance I can request half shifts on Monday & Thursday! If this doesn’t work for your schedule, it is unfortunately something I cannot change. Pets have their own personalities, wants, needs, and boundaries. I am experienced in reading animal body language to prevent possible miscommunication between me and your pet. It is important to me that your pet is safe and loved.
