About: Hi there! My name is Gyllian Mullen and I’m currently a student studying music business and living with my mom on Sauvie Island! We have two Shetland Sheepdogs (Ginny and Bentley) who are friendly and high energy. I’m a former 4-H dog trainer with 12+ years of handling experience with puppies, hyperactive dogs, and a wide variety of breeds. I grew up on Sauvie Island and have had dogs and other animals consistently throughout my childhood. I have personally dealt the most with Corgis, Shetland Sheepdogs, Chihuahuas, Labs, Poodles and Poodle mixes. 4-H provided me with extensive knowledge of proper dog handling and care, especially in regards to diet and exercise. I have won multiple titles at the Oregon State Fair in obedience training, agility, rally and confirmation including Top Ten Best Showdog in 2013. I have raised and trained my own puppy for show as well as many other companion house dogs my family and I have cared for. I’m open for walks, house sitting or any request you may have, just reach out. This is not my first time caring for other pet owners animals either, I frequently would pet and housesit for neighbors and friends throughout high school as well. I have a flexible schedule in the week with all days except Monday open for booking and my weekends are always available. I’m very responsive, love to take photos of your pets for you and am looking for a way to make a little spending money and get out of the house. Grooming, senior dogs, special needs, puppies, I can do it all :) At the moment, my schedule is wide open. I am studying remotely at my college and am taking a small number of credit hours so I can help out my mom and make some money pet-sitting. If you have recurring needs like walks, please reach out. Anything recurring is easy for me to schedule and I am incredibly responsible and on time. I will not leave you without care without more than 24 hours notice. I have an open 2 acre yard that shares a fence with a farmer that has goats and sheep. If your dog is a runner, please let me know, otherwise I like to let the dogs off leash while I water plants around the house. If that makes you nervous, let me know. If leashes are necessary for their outside time, Wapato State Park is a half mile walk from my house where I can take your pups for a 3-4 mile walk or run. There is also a local school with a big field a mile away. It's perfect for fetch and other off leash activities since the schoolyard is fenced.
