Before pursuing pet sitting, I worked remotely for an international dog rescue, which further strengthened my passion for animal welfare and deepened my understanding of responsible pet care. Being part of an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs reinforced my commitment to animal well-being, and strengthened the qualities I bring to pet care — compassion, patience, reliability, and attention to detail. In the past, I volunteered with a local animal rescue where I primarily cared for cats. I currently volunteer with a rescue where I mostly help with dogs, as well as assisting at various fundraising events. I especially love meeting our supporters and their pets at these events. It’s heartwarming to see them enjoying these functions alongside their pets! Volunteering has reinforced my commitment to providing patient, compassionate, and reliable care, and I look forward to giving every pet the same attention and kindness I would want for my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, which means I have plenty of time to give your pup or kitty the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I'll be there to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you're away. From my experience, I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, so I always follow each owner's care instructions closely. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or providing drop-in visits, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh food and water, potty breaks, and lots of affection. I take the time to get to know each pet's unique personality and comfort level, whether they're energetic and playful or prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable, compassionate hands. About: I grew up having and taking care of cats but also love dogs! I am very reliable and attentive. Happy to just drop in for walks or take care of animals for a more extended time. I currently work full time, but I always make time for what is important. Some days I work from home so my schedule is much more flexible and I can do more frequent drop-ins or overnight house/pet sitting. I am very good at following directions, so any instructions you leave for walks/feeding will be followed to a T. I don't board at my own house, but your house and pets will be treated with utmost respect while your pets are in my care.

About: As a dog owner of my own for 8 years and growing up with pets, I know how important it is to find someone who will care for your pets like they’re family. Thats me! I will care for your animals like they are my own and will always strive to give them a positive encounter. I have experience with senior dogs as well as puppies (around 3 weeks old and up). I know sometimes extra care is needed and will always prioritize their comfort and well being. Additionally, I am good with shy and/or skittish dogs and know how to help them feel safe while showing them I am trustworthy and gentle. My experience with cats is about 10 years. I am currently in school which helps my schedule be decently flexible. Most of my classes are online so I can be home with dogs the majority of the day! My dog, Sage, is an 8 year old mixed breed with a generally chill demeanor. She is gentle with puppies, plays well with other dogs, and is also keen for quiet time. If your dog is staying with me, I have a fenced area in the condo units where I live. Condo is single story. There are several parks close by, including the Alberta Park Dog Off Leash Area which is not fenced. If you are comfortable and your dog has good recall to me, I can take your dog there, too. If they prefer to be leashed the whole time, other parks are close and we will have just as much fun! If I am picking your dog up to walk and return to your home, I will take the utmost care to be gentle and respectful of your animal and home. It can be strange for animals to have someone new in their space and I will make sure they know I am a safe person. If pet parents are amenable, I usually have small training treats I give my dog on walks and can do the same for your dog! I have experience ranging from very young puppies to senior dogs as well as post surgery care.
