“Annika and John are wonderful! They took great care of my anxious and needy pup for a week and kept me in the loop with daily photos and updates which I really appreciated. They took note of all my dog’s needs and asked questions, I could tell they really cared. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with them and will happily rebook!”

“Our pup had a wonderful stay! Lajetta sent tons of pictures of our dog while we were away and was super responsive to texts. We will definitely try and book her again in the future!”

“Barry and his pup are fantastic hosts! I received many updates and photos which I really appreciate, and my dog was happy and healthy. Will definitely book with Barry again!”

“Beatrix seemed to have had a wonderful time with Lisa! Lisa was very communicative and even helped out providing her own when I forgot to bring the batch I had premade for B's special food addition, saving me time of having to run home when I had to catch a flight. She provided pictures every day and made sure Beatrix was settled when dropping her off at my home and even sent a video. She checked in with me when Beatrix's arthritis was acting up before giving the "as needed" meds. I will definitely use Lisa again!”

“Heath and Amy were amazing! Super flexible with all drop off and pickup needs, they have a lovely family that clearly love animals. Our dog was super happy to spend over a week with them which isn't super common as she is typically a bit nervous about new home environments. Not in this case, she made herself right at home thanks to their welcoming presence and their own pup was the perfect playmate. We will definitely be reaching out to them for future dogsitting needs.”

“Sandy took wonderful care of my dog, Albert, and kept me updated with great communication throughout his stay. Albert clearly enjoyed hanging out with other dogs his size, and I could tell he was well cared for. I’d absolutely book with Sandy again!”

“Juan took great care of our dog and kittens. He sent pictures and updates while we were out of town. He responded quickly and was very friendly. For our next trip we will definitely use his services again.”

“Peter, was wonderful with our Mocha. Lots of updates with photos. We didn’t worry about her at all knowing he was with her. Peters son was great with Mocha as well. Lots of walks. She came home healthy and happy. Thank you Peter.🐶”

“My dog Judy had a blast boarding with Chris, Bear and Cosmo. The accommodations were super dog friendly, with dog gates, doors, and especially the huge yard setup where the dogs had tons of space to run, play, and burn off energy. Judy got plenty of exercise and there was more than enough room for larger dogs to be comfortable too. Chris also took them to the great dog parks nearby, and Judy had a great time exploring there as well. It was also nice that all the dogs got along, which made everything feel easy and comfortable. Judy came home happy, tired, and had a great time during her stay. It was obvious she was being very well cared for and getting lots of attention the whole time. Thanks Chris!”

“Chava watched our dog during our wedding weekend and it was such a huge help! Penny came back happy and tuckered, which means she must have had a fun time. Thank you!!!”

“We love Debbie!! She is always dependable and takes great care of our dog. She also was so communicative and flexible when travel threw us curve balls and made sure we were able to reconnect with our dog after a long day.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life. Growing up, I had three Black Labs over the years, and today I help care for our German Shepherd, Geo, who gets multiple walks every day and plenty of exercise. I also regularly care for my parents' dog while they're out of town, including feeding, walking, playtime, and administering medications when needed. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with company, I'll provide dependable, attentive care as if they were my own. With my evening work schedule and my girlfriend's daytime schedule, someone is almost always home to provide care and attention. This allows us to maintain a consistent routine for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime throughout the day. Our family loves dogs, and the kids are always happy to offer gentle head scratches, belly rubs, and plenty of affection to dogs that enjoy the extra attention. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. We have a securely fenced yard with a doggie door, giving dogs safe access to the outdoors while still being supervised. Our German Shepherd, Geo, is a friendly, well-socialized dog who enjoys meeting new canine friends and already goes on three walks a day, so guest dogs will have plenty of opportunities for exercise. Every dog has different needs, and I'm happy to adapt my care accordingly. Whether your dog is a high-energy breed that loves long walks and active play, or a senior companion who prefers shorter strolls, a quiet environment, and extra TLC, I'll make sure they receive the care, attention, and routine that's right for them.

She sent updates and pics of how the dogs were doing during their stay. Rosemary understood the needs of our dogs. We will definitely use Rosemary in the future. She is a breath of fresh air, and a great sitter!”

I am familiar with positive reenforcement, force free, settle training, crate training, socialization, clicker training, agility and capturing calm behaviors. I have experience with animals who have mild to moderate mobility issues, mild to moderate separation anxiety, puppies, senior and special needs, safe stretching/activity monitoring, and reactive body language. *I graduate from Karen Pryor Academy March 2027* and will be a certified dog trainer then. We have a house with a smaller backyard and live near Laurelhurst park. I work remotely at my house roughly 8-4pm M-F and have a lot of flexibility to take care of Peach and other animals. “Elizabeth has been wonderful with Poppy! Everything was so last minute and she's been accommodating, communicative, and I've felt incredibly comfortable and happy with leaving my pup in her care for walks.”

“Bobby and Chris are wonderful and take great care of Patti! They’ve been flexible and accommodating and we happily rebook them over and over! Definitely recommend :)”

“Michelle did an awesome job caring for Gambit! We had a medical scare the day we planned to drop our dog off with Michelle. Gambit had to have a quick surgery which resulted in him being drowsy, being prescribed medication and a patient after care routine. Although this wasn’t initially expected for Michelle to have to deal with when originally booked, she accepted the additional responsibility without question and was able to carry out the needed extra care without issue. This really helped reduce our stress and anxiety of our dog’s well being while we were out of town. If it was any other rover, we probably would have canceled our trip! Michelle is extremely responsive, punctual, nice and a joy to interact with. Would highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I'm Mackenzie, a lifelong animal lover and current Husky owner with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Huskies and German Shepherds. I also have experience dog sitting and administering oral medications to picky pups. I'm patient, attentive, and dependable, and I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet. I'm happy to provide walks, playtime, companionship, and cat care too! I raised my Husky from a puppy, so have experience with potty training and maintaining a healthy routine. I have experience house sitting for senior dogs, young at heart but requiring a bit more tender care. I'm currently in-between full time careers, so have plenty of time to care for and bond with your pups! I'm available for overnight dog sitting any day of the week with advance notice. Please reach out if you are interested in working with me, I'd be happy to meet your needs for a stress-free time away. About: I come from a very large family (7 sisters 3 brothers) and we grew up with dogs, cats and other animals my entire life. I’ve also had my own dogs and cats as an adult and do pet sitting for my mom and siblings Currently looking for employment so I have a lot of free time ( will update once that changes). Recently moved to Portland and don’t have any pets currently to take up my time. I follow client care instructions to the letter. I love taking walks and exploring the city so I’ll make sure your dog has been worked out if they have a lot of energy. Taking care of animals for so long I feel that I am very emotionally intelligent in how I interact with any pet.
About: I grew up raising my two dogs, Nike and Sparky, since they were babies. Nike is a dachshund and Sparky is a little chunky chihuahua. They are both 11 years old. I also babysit my friend’s frenchie, Appa, when they go out of town. I currently work full-time, and am free in the evenings. I am also free during the weekends. I am pretty active and love to go on hikes and runs. I am a super outdoorsy person but can also be a couch potato. Although I don’t have a yard, I live in a super pet friendly neighborhood. I also currently don’t have pets and live in a calm friendly neighborhood.
About: As a former National Park Service employee of ten years I’m basically hardwired to love the outdoors and animals, and spending time with animals in the outdoors! I’ve pet sit cats and dogs of all sizes, ages, and abilities for friends, family, and coworkers. Having had both very old and anxious dogs, I’m familiar with the patience, attentiveness, and consistency needed to watch high needs pets and will always adapt my care to guarantee their comfort. As both a college student and an exercise enthusiast, I can fit the care of your pet seamlessly in with my everyday life - be it cuddling on the couch, hanging out in a shared space, throwing a ball, or going for hikes or light runs. When outdoors I always carry extra water and a dog bowl, and am closely tuned in to the needs of your pet to assure they are safe, comfortable, and having a great time. As a full-time college student I have very flexible availability, especially in the early morning, afternoons, and evening. This means I can check in often, and dedicate the best/coolest time of day to walks. As someone who grew up with hyper active and intelligent dogs, I understand that the anxiety that comes with human-pet separation is a two way street. To make sure both you and your pets have peace of mind, I will do my best to gather all necessary information from you about your pets needs, routines, preferences, behaviors, training level (judgement free - training is hard and dogs have a mind of their own), and physical capabilities. I will take notes during our conversation, closely follow all directions, and send you as many pet pics as you need!
About: I believe great pet care starts with trust. I'm dependable, reliable, and patient, and I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I take the time to make pets feel safe and comfortable while giving them the attention and care they deserve. Before pursuing pet sitting, I worked remotely for an international dog rescue, which further strengthened my passion for animal welfare and deepened my understanding of responsible pet care. Being part of an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs reinforced my commitment to animal well-being, and strengthened the qualities I bring to pet care — compassion, patience, reliability, and attention to detail. In the past, I volunteered with a local animal rescue where I primarily cared for cats. I currently volunteer with a rescue where I mostly help with dogs, as well as assisting at various fundraising events. I especially love meeting our supporters and their pets at these events. It’s heartwarming to see them enjoying these functions alongside their pets! Volunteering has reinforced my commitment to providing patient, compassionate, and reliable care, and I look forward to giving every pet the same attention and kindness I would want for my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, which means I have plenty of time to give your pup or kitty the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I'll be there to make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you're away. From my experience, I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, so I always follow each owner's care instructions closely. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or providing drop-in visits, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh food and water, potty breaks, and lots of affection. I take the time to get to know each pet's unique personality and comfort level, whether they're energetic and playful or prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable, compassionate hands. I'm also happy to provide updates and photos during each visit so you can see how your pet is doing!
“Michael was great with the energy of our big lab, and he was easy to plan and communicate with. We had a happy, nicely tired-out pup after their time together, which is JUST what we needed. Many thanks to Michael.”

We will definitely be reaching out to them for future dogsitting needs.”

I work remotely 8-4 PM M-F and have a lot of flexibility to do things around the house or run errands, so that includes taking care of extra pets. I live with my boyfriend, and we have no children. We have a house with a smaller backyard and live near Laurelhurst park. I work remotely at my house roughly 8-4pm M-F and have a lot of flexibility to take care of Peach and other animals. My weekends are usually filled with house projects, thrifting or getting out to an outdoor activity. My house has a couple of beds, couches and rugs for your pet to sprawl on. We have a smaller fenced yard where the dogs can use the restroom. I do have a crate if needed.
“I’m always amazed at how relaxed Elaine is with dogs and kids and family, each with their separate needs. She went above and beyond to get the right medication for my dogs itchies.”

“Kind and caring. Our dog bolts right inside like it’s her second home (we try to tell her it’s not). She loves Ron’s dog Emma, which seems to really help with having a companion dog there with ours to keep her company while boarding.”

“I have used Jared for dog sitting a number of times. Jared is always flexible and easy to booked with and I get plenty of updates and the pictures during my dogs stay :)”

“To start, Danielle had my dog for a daycare, and, everything went great. I received photos showing him walking with others and I know him well enough to know he was enjoying his time. I felt comfortable to go ahead and schedule two overnights with Danielle for him during my next work trip. Things I love about Danielle are that she really pays attention to what you say, the details. She is straightforward and not afraid to express any concerns (such as safety of certain types of collars etc.) Her communication has been excellent. She walks every day with multiple dogs and the pack is such an enjoyable place for my dog. I'm not inundated with photos, but, receive just enough to know he's doing well! We will be boarding at Danielle's as long as she'll have us 💜”

“Araceli is amazing. She was available at last minute for my babies and she always does an exceptional job. They love going to her house. She also has another husky which I know my dogs love. I would highly suggest her anytime. She is definitely my go-to”

“Don did an amazing job taking care of Frank. I could tell by the many pictures I received throughout Frank's stay, that Frank was very happy, kept active with daily walks, and doted on with lots of care and attention. Frank also got along very well with Don's dog Hunter, and the two became great friends and playmates. I am very grateful to have found Don through Rover, and will definitely use him again any time I need to travel for business.”

About: I have always had a dogs in my life. I went from growing up with dogs to getting my own dogs when I went off to college. They have been with me since up until recently when we had to put our dog penny down at age 16. Suddenly I find myself without a dog and it is very lonely, but I am not ready for a new permanent addition, so I am hoping to pet sit to still have dogs in my life. My husband and I both work from home, so we are around to give pets love and attention throughout the day. We do have 2 young children so it is important to us that your pet loves kids or is at least used to kids. We recently had to put our two elderly dogs down (14 and 16) so we really miss having dogs around the house but are not ready for a new permanent pet yet, so we are very excited about dog sitting. We have a fenced backyard, we love going for walks, and our kids would love to spend hours playing fetch if that's something your dog enjoys.
“Madeline is absolutely amazing. I would recommend her to anyone. My pup had so much fun, I was nervous leaving him with anyone, she communicated the entire time. Sent me photos and lets me know how my boy is doing. Will be booking for more than a week next time. House is amazing very well prepared for any dog she takes care of. I was very much at peace while on my vacation knowing my pup is in good hands.”
