About: I am kind and caring to all pets. Patience is the name of the game for some pets so I always make sure they’re comfortable. Being self-employed allows me to have a fairly open availability to help care for your pet(s). Luckily my business doesn’t take up too much of my day and gives me the freedom to spend my day doing other things that make me happy. Making sure your pets’ needs are met is my top priority. I have a roommate that is sometimes away for business so I make sure her cat is fed, hydrated, kept clean, and well loved.

“This is the second time Peter has taken care of our two cats, Clementine and Milton, and he once again took excellent care of them! Not only did he feed the cats and checked/cleaned their litterbox, he also vacuumed around the box as well (the cats do some dramatic, messy exits outside the box at times, because of course they do). Peter is a prompt, excellent communicator and is super kind to boot. I had totally messed up the days for the booking and Peter was very understanding and flexible and was able to get the booking rescheduled for the correct dates, which I really appreciated. About: Animals love me, and I love them! My family has always had dogs, and I was always the one to walk them. Tiny dog? I'll walk them. Medium dog? I'll walk them. Big dog? I'll walk them. REALLY big dog? I'll walk them. I have walked dogs of all sizes, ages, and speeds. No matter the size, dogs respond well to my energy, and they can tell I'm excited to see them. If your dog doesn't like walks, I can stop by and let them out in your backyard and even throw a ball for them 1 to 100 times. I'm currently working part-time from home on a boring computer. Happy to take a break to hang out with your cute animal(s) instead! I usually go on a walk 1-2 hours a day, so why not bring your dog along? I also have a car, so I can get to your neighborhood in a breeze. I have experience walking reactive dogs. I am aware of my surroundings and always cross the street safely if I spot another dog approaching. I always communicate with dogs in a friendly and calm demeanor.

About: Nothing makes me happier than spending time with animals, and I’ve cared for many pets over the years including dogs, cats, and reptiles. My friends, family, and clients always know they can rely on me to give their pets lots of love and affection while they’re away. I’m student at Portland State University and take mostly online classes so I can have a flexible schedule, so I have lots of free time to spend with pets! I live in a friendly neighbourhood with a very sweet cat. She loves other animals and we would love to have more pets stay over.

About: I've been taking care of pets for friends and family since I was old enough to pour kibble and fill water bowls! I grew up with two dogs, three cats, and friends and family with farms and ranches, giving me experience working with everything from lizards to horses. I love connecting with critters and ensuring their physical AND emotional needs stay a top priority. Experience includes: walks, structured playtime, behavioral observation and modification, photography, light grooming, medicine administration, and boarding. I work part-time with a lot of flexibility, and while I get time to interact with my friends' and neighbor's pets, I can always make time to add another set of paws to the mix. Typically, when providing care, I like to meet and greet in advance of whatever service--be it walks, check-ins, daycare, or overnights--to start off socializing with a particular pet on the right foot. I also ask for typical routines (including dietary particulars and medicine), off-limits areas and behaviors, as well as favorite toys, games, and treats! I always bring a few things to keep myself occupied in case of pets who like to do their own thing, but usually a lot of the time is spent directly supporting your companion through play, feeding, and snuggles!
