He was fine the first seven days so likely stressed with the number of days he was at Fin’s home. Fin sent a number of photos that showed Blackjack was totally enjoying himself! I highly recommend Fin as a Dogsitter. Her backyard is a great place for dogs to hang out as is her home. She took them on frequent walks, communicative about eating, treats, potty, and nap time and sent many pictures. I’d recommend her to anyone with small-medium dogs that need somewhere to go either sitting or boarding. One issue I faced which wasn’t a huge deal, was in the middle of my reservation the rate of sitting increased to almost double the initial rate I paid for. My intial booking was 15/day and I asked for one more day of sitting, and the entire reservation was modified to 25/day. It caught me off guard since it was the middle of the week and I was caught off guard with the new price. The service was worth the new rate, just wanted transparency there.”

About: I grew up taking care of family dogs and began sitting friends dogs before adopting my own pup, Scooby. I'd grown up with typically smaller and mid size dogs and sitting a large dog helped me realize how much I loved the gentle giants and rowdy ones. Scooby was a handful initially - reactive, anxious, stubborn. I knew with love, care and time he'd become the gentle giant he is today. About: I have always had a dogs in my life. I went from growing up with dogs to getting my own dogs when I went off to college. They have been with me since up until recently when we had to put our dog penny down at age 16. Suddenly I find myself without a dog and it is very lonely, but I am not ready for a new permanent addition, so I am hoping to pet sit to still have dogs in my life. My husband and I both work from home, so we are around to give pets love and attention throughout the day. We do have 2 young children so it is important to us that your pet loves kids or is at least used to kids. We recently had to put our two elderly dogs down (14 and 16) so we really miss having dogs around the house but are not ready for a new permanent pet yet, so we are very excited about dog sitting. We have a fenced backyard, we love going for walks, and our kids would love to spend hours playing fetch if that's something your dog enjoys.

About: Hi there! I'm Alvaro, and I've been in love with dogs for over 20 years. It all started with my first Beagle, Lukas, when I was a teenager. We trained together and became best friends for 11 wonderful years. Now, I have Luka, a taller Beagle/Harrier mix, who has been my loyal companion for the past three years. About: As a dog owner of my own for 8 years and growing up with pets, I know how important it is to find someone who will care for your pets like they’re family. Thats me! My dog, Sage, is an 8 year old mixed breed with a generally chill demeanor. She is gentle with puppies, plays well with other dogs, and is also keen for quiet time. If your dog is staying with me, I have a fenced area in the condo units where I live. Condo is single story. There are several parks close by, including the Alberta Park Dog Off Leash Area which is not fenced. If you are comfortable and your dog has good recall to me, I can take your dog there, too. If they prefer to be leashed the whole time, other parks are close and we will have just as much fun! If I am picking your dog up to walk and return to your home, I will take the utmost care to be gentle and respectful of your animal and home. It can be strange for animals to have someone new in their space and I will make sure they know I am a safe person. If pet parents are amenable, I usually have small training treats I give my dog on walks and can do the same for your dog! I have experience ranging from very young puppies to senior dogs as well as post surgery care.

This was our first time leaving our senior dog with someone other than a friend and we were nervous but Josh made it very easy with daily updates, pictures, and videos. It was clear how happy and well taken care of Alfred was for the entire week we were gone. “To start, Danielle had my dog for a daycare, and, everything went great. I received photos showing him walking with others and I know him well enough to know he was enjoying his time. I felt comfortable to go ahead and schedule two overnights with Danielle for him during my next work trip. Things I love about Danielle are that she really pays attention to what you say, the details. She is straightforward and not afraid to express any concerns (such as safety of certain types of collars etc.) Her communication has been excellent. She walks every day with multiple dogs and the pack is such an enjoyable place for my dog. I'm not inundated with photos, but, receive just enough to know he's doing well! We will be boarding at Danielle's as long as she'll have us 💜”
“This was my first time boarding my dog with Elaine and I would do it again. I was out of service for the 4 days that my pup stayed with her, but when i got back into service I saw that she sent photos of big stretches and him chilling with the other dogs each day. Elaine and her family were welcoming to my pup and I would recommend her as a sitter or boarding option for sure.”
