About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. I know there are a lot of people on this site, who fluff their profiles and just do this for extra money. But, my life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a deep understanding of dog psychology and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining calm and assertive when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified, as well as bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared. I’m professional, reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy and pride myself on practicing clear and transparent communication. I'm located in the east Portland area, also near Happy Valley and Gresham, and I service most all surrounding areas. In addition to working with dogs, I'm also a part-time jewelry artist and I work out of my home studio. I make my own schedule and usually, always available. I can schedule around most everything. At my home, I have three small rescue dogs that are a bonded pack. We utilize pet gates and dog run fencing in our fenced backyard. Open to small dogs for boarding and daycare.

About: i was raised around dogs my entire life. i have a pup who is 3 years old who is like my baby. i know what it is like to have an animal that you love like a child & i want to help others out by treating their dogs like they’re family (: i am a stay at home mama at the moment. i have 3 years of experience working at a dog boarding and grooming shop as a kennel assistant 🤍 i have 2 fenced yards that are big enough for the doggos to run around in. there are many toys at my house for the dogs to play with and even have 2 friendly dogs for the pups to play with as well. my puppy is pretty active and wants to play constantly, she loves the comfort of another animal.

About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!

About: My name is Adrian and I am a PSU student making money to move out this summer, I love all dogs big and small and I have owned many throughout my life. I am a music lover at heart when I am not working towards my anthropology major. I hope to one day teach history and culture related classes to all ages of students. My family dog Olav is a large great pyranees mix, and I love him with all my heart. We go on walks, hikes, runs and swims together all the time and all over Oregon. I currently have 2 beautiful cats with my wife, Bowie, and Ziggy. I’m a student with a lot of free time and in need of work so I am trying to get as many walks and check ins in as possible. I am great at walking dogs and very respectful of others homes and spaces of others animals. I am attentive and caring towards all animals.

About: I’ve had my fair share of petsitting and dog walking and I enjoyed it a lot. I also have had pets that I have cared for. I have a very flexible schedule since I am currently unemployed and not going to school. I am open most days and times as well as some weekends. About: One of my passions in life is pets and caring for them. As a graduate from Carrington College in veterinary assisting I learned valuable skills such as understanding animal behavior, CPR, nail trims and administering medications. OUTSIDE REVIEWS Heather took care of my young and active miniature Australian Labradoodle Maggie for 3 nights. She stayed at my home and did an amazing job. I came home to a calm and happy dog and my house was just as I left it . Maggie loved her and she loved Maggie. I felt 100 % confident that she was in good hands. She has experience with animals, loves them and has even had vet tech training in the past. Previously, when I left Maggie with a sitter for 3 days she didn’t eat and lost a pound, but with Heather she was just as I left her. I was delighted. Heather gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 I am free just about any time and duration, and can go anywhere that Tri-Met can take me if it's an hour or less travel time. I will take your dog to a park if it's within walking distance, or walk around the neighborhood, or play/run around in the yard or house as well.

About: Rescued two outside cats before and have formed bonds with usually shy dogs/cats. Don’t have much experience with training animals, but will make sure they have enough exercise when needed! I work Monday, Wednesday-Friday from 6am-4pm, so while mornings are very limited, the afternoon/evening walks are all open. I would be more than happy to adding your furry family member to the friends list and be able to take them outside! Making sure the water is filled and they are fed on time when I’m there. If it’s too hot out, outside time would be limited to potty time, but would be happy to make sure they have time to play inside when I’m there!

About: I've had the privilege of caring for dogs for over a decade. I have experience administering medication, walking, cleaning and playing with puppies and middle age dogs. I am a full time artist with quite an open and flexible schedule. I am available during the day during the week and flexible during weekends. I love playing and spending time with my own cat, catering to her needs and spending time together. I have no issue crating other's dogs if asked.

About: I've been passionate about animal care ever since I started my first pet-sitting business at 15. I still remember my first clients: A family with an older cat and a family with two pomeranian puppies. While I love dogs and can take care of them, my specialty is feline friends! I absolutely love cats in all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I'm there if your cat wants a long-term babysitter relationship or just a friendly person to fill the bowl and respect their need for personal space.
