About: I am a dog groomer and sitter of 3 years, I have a standard poodle and a Mexican hairless dog. I also show my Mexican hairless dog in akc dog shows. I have experience with reactive dogs, intact dogs, and primitive dogs. My specialty is aloof breeds as I love the connection and bond, it makes it even more special when they trust you. I work full time as a dog groomer and admin at barkzone, but your pup would be able to come with me and hang out in the office safely away from the other pups with fresh water and access to a backyard for supervised potty time I have a separate dog room for feeding time and kennels for unsupervised time away from them. If they need to sleep in a kennel I have extras or they can sleep with me. I do not have a fenced yard but I can offer structured walks around the block or to the parks! And lots of play time

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and have experience caring for pets of many different breeds, sizes, personalities, and behavioral needs. Being a lifelong pet owner has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every animal is different. About: Hello I'm Elizabeth. I love animals! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I worked and volunteered at the humane society for a few years. I've had dogs and cats all my life. My goal is to help pets feel safe and happy and cared for. I've lived in Portland all my life. I love snuggling or playing and getting to know different personalities. I look forward to meeting you and your canine and feline family members. My schedule is pretty open. I'm a stay at home house wife. I'd prefer not to do early mornings since I'm on the bus. I will make sure dogs/cats always have water. If your pet is hesitant to interact I will go slow and be patient. I have experience with fearful, shy animals. All of my animals are shelter pets.

About: Besides my experience with my own pets I began volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society at 17. After that I went on to dog sit for various different families part time for around 3 years. I have a big window of availability currently. I’m going back to school in the fall, but until then I am just working part time. I work for my grandpa, so my schedule is super flexible! When I dog sit in the clients home I will follow your instructional list for feeding/walks/ activities/ grooming ect. I have car so I can take your pup to nearby parks/ dog parks if you would like, or just for a classic stroll around your neighborhood if you prefer. For clients that would prefer I take car if you dog in my home I have a fenced in back yard and live near several park so we can go on several adventures. Or just chill at home if you have a senior/ more low energy dog. My only deal breaker is that your dog isn’t reactive towards cats.

About: One of my passions in life is pets and caring for them. As a graduate from Carrington College in veterinary assisting I learned valuable skills such as understanding animal behavior, CPR, nail trims and administering medications. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, hampsters, lizards, fish, frogs and feel comfortable with nearly any type of pet. What I bring to pet care is a strong connection to animals, I feel a sense of responsibility and need to care for them and be their new best friend. OUTSIDE REVIEWS Heather took care of my young and active miniature Australian Labradoodle Maggie for 3 nights. She stayed at my home and did an amazing job. I came home to a calm and happy dog and my house was just as I left it . Maggie loved her and she loved Maggie. I felt 100 % confident that she was in good hands. She has experience with animals, loves them and has even had vet tech training in the past. Previously, when I left Maggie with a sitter for 3 days she didn’t eat and lost a pound, but with Heather she was just as I left her. I was delighted. Heather gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 I am free just about any time and duration, and can go anywhere that Tri-Met can take me if it's an hour or less travel time. I will take your dog to a park if it's within walking distance, or walk around the neighborhood, or play/run around in the yard or house as well.

About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. My life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own pet services business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I’m always watching, listening and paying attention to their body language. I have a thorough understanding of dog behavior and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. I’m naturally hyper-vigilant, yet focus on remaining kind, calm and confident when working with dogs, especially when out in the world. I’ve completed a variety of trainings with dogs over my lifetime, from canine good citizen, to flyball, to advanced therapy dog training. I’m Pet CPR + First Aid certified, as well as bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I always carry a well-stocked pet first aid kit in my vehicle, as well as water, bowls, treats, blankets and travel crates so as to always be as prepared.
