About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. When I was growing up, I used to care for stray dogs in my neighborhood and even raised a puppy outside. After I started my own family, I continued looking after animals whenever I could. I adopted a Tibetan Mastiff mix and raised him for three years. Unfortunately, when we had to move, we weren't able to bring him with us, so he stayed with our relatives. Since then, I've continued helping animals in need. I cared for a stray rabbit for a short time until my neighbor adopted him, and I also looked after a stray cat that I became very attached to. Sadly, after I went away on a short vacation, she never came back. Now I foster animals in my home. So far, I've cared for an American Pit Bull mix and a small 5-week old black kitten for four weeks. Taking care of animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and I love being able to give them a safe and caring place while they need it. I work from home and have flexible hours, which allows me to easily adjust my schedule around pet care. I’m able to provide attention, visits, and care throughout the day as needed, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I also like to go on walks at the nearby park, which is great for giving dogs exercise and fresh air. I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I follow their normal routine, give them food and water on schedule, and pay close attention to their behavior and needs. In my home, I provide a calm and clean environment where pets can feel relaxed and at ease. I also make sure they are supervised and get plenty of attention and care. If I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully so their pet feels secure and cared for in their usual environment.

I came home to a calm and happy dog and my house was just as I left it . Maggie loved her and she loved Maggie. I felt 100 % confident that she was in good hands. She has experience with animals, loves them and has even had vet tech training in the past. Previously, when I left Maggie with a sitter for 3 days she didn’t eat and lost a pound, but with Heather she was just as I left her. I was delighted. Heather gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 I am free just about any time and duration, and can go anywhere that Tri-Met can take me if it's an hour or less travel time. About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!

About: Besides my experience with my own pets I began volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society at 17. After that I went on to dog sit for various different families part time for around 3 years. I have a big window of availability currently. I’m going back to school in the fall, but until then I am just working part time. I work for my grandpa, so my schedule is super flexible! When I dog sit in the clients home I will follow your instructional list for feeding/walks/ activities/ grooming ect. If you're working on training your pets, I'll update you on improvements and behavior. Rest assured, I've got you covered. I'm currently working part-time as I am also a remote designer. I aim to conduct visits/walks during the day with preference of weekdays - however, I can be flexible when need be! I always have a checklist for my visits to ensure that I've got all grounds covered especially if I am working with multiple pets in a visit. For multiple occasions, I've had to take care of 3 dogs/cats for a visit with different dietary plans and needs.

Leslie has a wonderful single story house with a great flat fenced yard! I had to leave my old pup for a whole week and Leslie spent so much time with him, so much love and many cuddles.
