“Julie and Barry are wonderful! If we lived closer I’d always use them to care for my dog, and I’d want to have them as my personal friends! Having traveled to Portland from San Diego to visit our toddler granddaughter, we were in a bind. Our mixed-breed dog is reactive to the toddler and to the two cats who also live in the house, and that makes for a stressful visit. I wanted to get a dog sitter, but I was worried about finding someone so far from home on short notice. Our dog has a lot of separation anxiety and is rather high-strung. I started a search on Google, and Julie and Barry popped up. Trust me, you should do what I did—look no further! I knew right away that I had found a gem! Julie and Barry have a beautiful, peaceful home. They were so kind to my dog that she jumped out of our car each morning when we dropped her off and ran up to their front door because she was so excited to see them again! About: I am a dog groomer and sitter of 3 years, I have a standard poodle and a Mexican hairless dog. I also show my Mexican hairless dog in akc dog shows. I have experience with reactive dogs, intact dogs, and primitive dogs. My specialty is aloof breeds as I love the connection and bond, it makes it even more special when they trust you. I work full time as a dog groomer and admin at barkzone, but your pup would be able to come with me and hang out in the office safely away from the other pups with fresh water and access to a backyard for supervised potty time I have a separate dog room for feeding time and kennels for unsupervised time away from them. If they need to sleep in a kennel I have extras or they can sleep with me. I do not have a fenced yard but I can offer structured walks around the block or to the parks! And lots of play time

About: I've been passionate about animal care ever since I started my first pet-sitting business at 15. I still remember my first clients: A family with an older cat and a family with two pomeranian puppies. While I love dogs and can take care of them, my specialty is feline friends! Our Tofu spent his best two weeks at their place with lots of walks, treats, and even baths when needed. They asked many questions before hand to get to know Tofu and arranged a visit as well. It was such a relief for us during our international trip where we had no access to text messages and major social media. However, Linda still offered to contact us via WhatsApp in order to send daily updates.”
