About: Hi! I’m Lauren, a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. Additionally, I’ve fostered dogs during extreme weather emergencies, caring for each one until I was able to personally find them a loving, forever home. I earned my Master’s in Psychological Science and am currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My background has strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and understanding of behavior, all of which are qualities that help me provide attentive, individualized care for every pet. As a dog owner myself (to a sweet American bully), I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide dependable care throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any other preferences to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable. I treat every home with the utmost respect and provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease throughout my care.

About: I have a huge animal-less hole in my heart to fill!! I always grew up with a dog and a cat in our home: a German shepherd, Jasmine, then a Welsh terrier, Rex, and kitties Madeline, and Isabel. While I mostly took on the play duties with the pets, I began my pet-sitting journey in elementary school watching my neighbors' cats when they were away and, eventually dogs and cats of my high school friends. Since starting my pet-sitting journey, I have done drop-in visits, dog walking, and house-sitting. I love spending time outdoors, whether at a park, on a walk, or in your backyard! It's important for me to provide gentle love to pets while also abiding by the training they follow. I have cared for up to two animals at a time which is what I feel most comfortable and confident in! I'm not afraid to pull up my sleeves and take care of sh*t (literally!) About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.

About: From a young age, I've had a special bond with dogs. My parents took in neighborhood samoyeds and newfoundlands that had been abandoned by their owners. I grew up with them, trained them, did my best to make sure their home was loving. Since my neighbors knew I was good with large dogs, I frequently dog sat for them. I quickly became an expert in leash technique, engaging play, making sure they were fed right, and just plain being there for them. I don't have any dogs right now (my apartment is way too small) but I know I'll meet that special fluffy guy when I get a bigger place. I'm available nearly all the time, as I'm not currently working and am only doing occasional volunteering in the Bitter Lake/Greenwood/Shoreline area. I have the availability of a tireless assistant! I believe in respecting a dog's boundries while also being very mindful of their needs. From years of experience I've learned to find the proper balance and give the dog the best experience possible.

I grew up in a lively home with four dogs of all sizes—from a tiny chihuahua to a big labrador/German shepherd mix! About: I have been a pet owner for over 20 years, so caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have helped raise, train, exercise, and comfort dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I was also a cat owner for over a decade, which gave me experience with pets who have very different personalities, routines, and comfort levels. My family has been pet sitting for nearly 10 years, and I helped with a lot of that care over the years. Through that, I learned how important it is to be reliable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s needs. Now that I am on my own, I am excited to start offering pet care myself and to provide pets with the same kind of safe, loving care I would want for my own animals. I am a teacher, but I am currently on summer break, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I have plenty of availability during the day, evenings, and weekends, while still being dependable and consistent with the care I provide. I am able to work around each pet’s routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. In my home, pets will have a safe, clean, and comfortable space to relax and feel cared for. I live in a large 3-bedroom apartment with secure doors that create natural barriers throughout the apartment, which makes it easy to separate spaces when needed or help a pet feel more comfortable. There are no other pets in the home, so your pet will receive my full attention without having to adjust to unfamiliar animals. One of the best parts of my home is the fully fenced-in backyard. There is plenty of space for dogs to run around, play, use the bathroom, or just stretch their legs safely. I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, water, comfort, and supervision based on each pet’s normal routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow the owner’s instructions closely so the pet can stay on their usual schedule. I know how important consistency is, so I pay attention to feeding times, walks, medication instructions, favorite toys, comfort needs, and any house rules. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for whether they are in my home or their own. Please note, I only sit pets from 1 household at a time - that way your pet(s) get all of my attention!

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life and the responsibility of taking care of them truly is second nature. I love to walk and jog with my girls and would love to get some exercise in with your dog too! I am also good with dogs that pull or need a bit more redirection. I work from home primarily, so I am able to designate a lot of time to pet care and spend quality time with my own dogs and any special guests! I walk often and will make sure your pet meets their step goal too! I have a fenced in yard and my two dogs love to make new friends. We do at least two walks per day and one enrichment game per day.
