“Lisa was so loving and caring with our animals, even when our dog had an accident inside she cleaned it up and notified us promptly. It’s our first rover experience and she made it wonderful!”

About: Hi! I’m Lauren, a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. Additionally, I’ve fostered dogs during extreme weather emergencies, caring for each one until I was able to personally find them a loving, forever home. I earned my Master’s in Psychological Science and am currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My background has strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and understanding of behavior, all of which are qualities that help me provide attentive, individualized care for every pet. As a dog owner myself (to a sweet American bully), I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a dependable companion, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide dependable care throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I’m happy to work with you to accommodate your scheduling needs whenever possible. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any other preferences to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable. I treat every home with the utmost respect and provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease throughout my care.
About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.
“Megan did an excellent job looking after our two cats while we were on vacation. Each time I communicated with her before the trip, she responded promptly. She also provided detailed information after her two drop-in visits.”

“Caline has completed many drop-in visits for our cats at this point and she always does an amazing job! This time, we had to adjust the responsibilities/schedule due to some changes in travel plans and she was great in being flexible : )”

“Leila went above and beyond taking care of my kitties and even tidying some of the messes the cats made! I felt reassured knowing she was spending time with them and giving them attention. She's incredibly communicative, which I really appreciate when I'm far away.”

About: I’ve raised my mini-golden doodle of 8 years from when he was 2 months old. I’ve trained him to potty outside & all the main tricks. He’s well behaved & gentle. That’s why many of my friends have trusted me with caring for their pets. Whether that be checking in to feed them, walk them, play with them, or even lightly train them. My friends think I’m a dog whisperer. I’m currently doing a career change & study for my Illinois real estate license. My availability is completely open and flexible at this time. Let me know what your needs are! I care for dogs in a way that respects their routine, their boundaries, and keep things clean and in order. Whether it be from dog sitting overnight, I have a keen ear to puppies and when they’re up to something or know when they need to go out to potty in the middle of the night. Any other type of care will be simply respecting your home rules & how you like your pet to be handled or trained along the way.
“Hope was so thorough, communicative, and lovely to work with. I've become a more anxious pet parent as our cats have gotten older and she immediately made me feel at ease. She cared for them as if they were her own, sent great pictures, and I will absolutely be reaching back out to her when we need pet care again! Thank you so much, Hope!”

“Michael was easy to work with and it really seems like he enjoys spending time with animals. Any pet would be in good hands with him. Will definitely be in touch with him again!”

“I’ll keep it concise and straightforward. Lizbeth is incredibly talented, and I highly recommend working with her. I could write so many positive things about her, but it wouldn’t be enough to describe how she treated our beloved pets and communicated so effectively!”

About: Hi! I’m Michelle, an animal lover from Miami, Florida I used to be a junior dog show handler for my bullmastiff, Casey, before he passed, and have tons of personal experience taking care of (& of course walking!) the 8 dogs I’ve had in my lifetime (ranging from Pomeranians to greyhounds) including helping raise my parents pandemic dog (a chihuahua jack Russel mix) I don’t get to spend much time with dogs anymore, so I think being a dog walker will satisfy my urge to pet every single dog I see walking down the street I currently work from home, so have a relatively flexible schedule during lunch hours and after work! I also have a car which helps with getting to and from any neighborhood lived in! I am experienced with both cat and dog maintenance, including administering medications if needed. As far as dog walking, I'm experienced in handling large dogs!
“Michele was lovely to work with. It’s clear she loves animals very much. She was very communicative and easy to work with. My little babies were well taken care of on her visits. Thank you!”

About: I have experience with Dogs and cats, as well as other animals like lizards. I have experience medicating animals both through the care of my own pets as well as through my mother who is a veterinarian in Old Town. I've take care of dogs of all age ranges and energy levels. I am currently working freelance so my schedule is wide open to prioritize your pets. And I already have a dog a cat and a lizard that I take care of at home, so my daily routine is already oriented with pet care in mind. I like to spend time with pets both on and outside of walks, as I know they can get lonely when their owners aren't around, and so I can be better aware of how your pet is doing.

“Being a bit nervous about leaving my cats, I appreciated how quickly Yesenia responded and reassured me on how things were going. The kitties began to warm up to her which is good for next time I need a sitter. Thank you, Yesenia!”

My cat’s favorite sitter!!! Cecilia is so trustworthy and sends the most thorough photos and reviews of each visit. She even watered my temperamental outdoor plants and helped with another household request while we were gone as well. Cecilia is truly the best, we have booked her so many times and so many of our friends use her now as well!

Andres was SUPER easy to work with and great with our very senior cat Elmer. When my husband and I are away, we kind of need someone who’ll allow us to not think about what’s going on at home and Andres did just that- made it easy to be away from our lil guy. Thank you!

Dom is a fantastic person to take care of your pets! She is very attentive, kind, and great with communication. I trust Dom coming into my home and looking after my cat. She follows instructions well, sends great photos and makes me feel at ease being away from my kitty! I will continue to book with Dom.

Lisa provided amazing service! We have reactive dogs and they did fantastic! This was the first time someone other than family took care of them. The fact they did great and really took to Lisa is a wonderful gift to us. Can’t thank her enough. Highly recommend!

I’m so grateful for Emmalyn and the care and comfort she provided my cats while I was gone for 11 days. I got updates each day with pictures included and my plants were taken care of. She is friendly and professional, and I look forward to having an opportunity to have her look after my cats again in the future

Adriana was incredibly responsive and took great care of our cats while we were away. We really appreciated her attention to detail, excellent communication, and the care she showed throughout each visit. She kept us updated, followed our instructions closely, and gave us peace of mind knowing our cats were in good hands. We would gladly recommend her and would be happy to book with her again!

Ivana took great care of our cats. Her communication was consistent and she made sure to play with them for the rest of the visit after the needed tasks. I also appreciate her willingness to do a meet and greet and drop the keys back off. I’d definitely book with her again!
