I'm not available in the morning until 11. My other dogs are mid-day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but evenings, weekends and the other days are great if you're not too far. (Pretty much Central Wicker Park, West Town, East Town & Ukrainian Village) I will happily take care of your dog or cat with a week's notice so check my availability.

My landlord will not allow me to care for pets at home so I don't offer that service. Unfortunately, I'm also unable to stay overnight.

Does the dog have a microchip? Tags up to date? How does the dog feel about people and other dogs? Does the dog hate certain kinds of weather? I've managed some excitable dogs up to 50 lbs and pullers if they have sufficient harnesses. I'm also experienced with some types of special needs and senior cats. I have experience with cats oral meds & injections. Diabetes, asthma, thyroid issues, kidney disease, subcutaneous hydration, cancer, age & frailty. Haven't done the more complicated med care for dogs yet but more than willing to take it on. I also have patience & experience with fearful and shy dogs and cats.
A typical day
For dogs, we'll sniff and get a look at every interesting (and safe) thing. We'll walk wherever the pet parent recommends. If sticks are OK with parents, we'll pick them up and carry them together (so to speak). If a dog park nearby is recommended - we're there! If you just want a quick pee and indoor playtime that's fine too. I treat each cat as though they were my own, if they will allow it. I'll take care of everything they need and if they're shy I will never force my attention on them. I let them come to me.

I'm Ariel! Your dogs & cats are my dream job but PLEASE check my profile first and limited area since I'm old as the hills and on foot. Apologies! I'm not available mornings until after 11. I'm open this summer Sunday thru Monday and because of other weekly dogs am available after 2:00 on Tuesdays & Thursdays, after 4 on Wednesdays and Fridays and every weekday late afternoons and evenings on weekdays. I can also do recurring walks on all days at those times. I would love a week's notice if possible and I can only do 1 visit or walk a day per animal because of my other regulars. The area roughly in West Town, Central Wicker Park, East Village & Ukrainian Village is great. Ideally inside Western, Ashland, North Ave, and Grand Ave, otherwise I spend more time getting there than with my animals! 🙂 So! 🐾 If given a choice between any walk and a walk with a dog, dogs always! I was a volunteer at PAWS for 2 years until I started doing this full time. I love the joy of a dog who knows it's walk time! I hope you'll let me share that joy with yours. I grew up with all kinds of animals, but dogs and cats are closest to my heart. Animal lives matter too! They mean as much as people to me. I'm also an unapologetic cliché cat lady and very experienced cat sitter (with meds & senior cats) if you need one. But I want both in my life whenever I can! They make me happy even in difficult times. 🐕🐈 ❤️
