About: I grew up on dogs, cats, and Steve Irwin! I love animals! I tend to use a "whisperer's" approach to new animals. I let them decide when they are comfortable enough to approach me for pets. I work as a flight attendant, so my schedule can be pretty hectic, but when I am available, I will open up my Rover schedule to sitting and drop ins. Crating is no problem if that is how you train your pet. I'm very conscientious towards your pet's comfort level. I will make sure they see me as a friend rather than an intruder.

About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life. I was always the person in my family to feed, walk, train, and entertain the pets. I’ve trained puppies of breeds as different as pit bulls and Westies and taken care of senior dogs in need of regularly scheduled meds and diapers. Since high school I have fostered, dog sat overnight and/or drop in, and I now volunteer at PAWS here in Chicago. I am currently working part-time, so I have varying availability, but will still have a very flexible schedule to fill with caring for your furry companions. As my apartment does not allow pets I would most likely be doing drop in visits as regularly as needed and perhaps an overnight if you are out of town for a while. I would do my best to rely entirely on and follow the dogs normal routine as laid out by the owner.

About: Hi! My name is Kate. I’ve had pets all my life, all ages too! I have experience with newborn pups and senior babes. We raised golden retriever puppies growing up, as well as rats, cats, and horses. I currently have two miniature schnauzers who rule my world. I moved to Chicago 6 years ago, so I would love to have a buddy to explore the city with. We can walk the 606, lakefront, or venture to the dog park. If your canine pal would prefer to sit in the shade, I’ll bring a blanket. Im pretty easy going, nothing really gets to me. I promise your canine pal will have a great time in my care! I am very familar with medically complex and fragile animals as one of my own babies is complex. I am comfortable administering all oral forms of medication (pills, gel, liquids, etc.). I have experience with epileptic dogs and can manage their care. I work from home full time, with a short break to go on a run or to the gym in the evening. I am rarely gone more than 2 hours at a time. My dogs receive 2-3 walks per day with lots of attention while I am home. For walks and drop-in’s, I prefer set time schedules so I can build it into my day. I have a fenced yard that is shared with the rest of my building for quick midday potty breaks, but I always provide 2-3 walks per day for my pups. I can provide as much exercise and walk time as your pup needs. Does your pup wanna go on a run? I can provide that too. I only accept dogs that are kennel trained as we do kennel our own dogs when we leave for their safety. In your own home, I’m comfortable following whatever your normal routine is. I have experience with epileptic dogs and can manage their care.

About: We are Mandy and Travis! Literally our first conversation was about our dogs. Our love for our pets runs deep, both of us having grown up with dogs our whole lives. We’ve trained puppies and cared for our beloved 15 year-old, three-legged senior Golden until he passed a year ago. We’re comfortable with all ages and stages in between. While our hearts belong to big fluffy puppers, we’ll love on your sweet baby no matter the size. We have a crate so you don’t need to bring yours unless your dog prefers theirs so they feel safe. Between the two of us, we work from home most days of the week. If I am at the office, I work 5 minutes from home and can easily stop home for potty and play breaks. We have a fenced yard and when the weather is nice, our back door is a magnetic screen so the dogs can let themselves in and out. We live close to Kilbourn Park and often take our fur babies for walks there.

About: In search of extra cash in high school, I began advertising my services to pet owners. I had grown up with dogs, birds, rats, fish, you name it. I was ready for more responsibility and began to develop a love for pet sitting. Since then, I have spent 10 years watching pets, the last 2 years doing so in Chicago. Extended stays and recurring clients will receive priority in my schedule with notice. In my client's home, my main goal is to honor the pet(s) routine. I follow instructions, no matter how time consuming, and enjoy giving pet parents peace of mind through daily updates and pictures! I love hanging with pets during the day and giving them my undivided attention while their parents are away.
