About: Hi, I'm Lauren! I have over 25 years of pet care experience, and have been a dog and cat owner my entire life. I'm the person at the party who is over in the corner loving on your cat or dog. I live in Portage Park with my dog, Carl, my cat, Kevin, and my husband and kids. We were always the house where friends wanted to leave pets to be cared for while on vacation. We've taken care of cats, big dogs, little dogs, chickens, a parrot, you name it. Now that we have a family, it's not as easy to take pets into our home, but I do love the opportunity to visit other's homes to care for their pets. Whether that's just some cozy couch snuggle time, yard zoomies, a long walk, or administering medication, I am happy to help! I have personal experience with senior dogs as well as senior cats, and they do hold a special place for me. I have been unemployed from my full-time job for almost a year, and have a small consulting business that I work remotely. I am using Rover as a resource to help make ends meet while job searching in this crazy job market. I am offering the most affordable rates in hopes of building up Rover clientele and creating long-term client relationships. Sometimes my kids join me for visits and walks, but always with the approval of the pet owner. I will not be traveling over the holidays, so I’ll be available here in Chicago!
