About: I was born into a family with 2 dogs and ever since then have had dogs large and small in my life. I have a passion for rescue pets and believe in a caretaking perspective of empathy and respect for all animals. My dog ladybird was a hunting reject that was starved and used in dog fighting. It’s been a long transformative journey of helping her heal and learn new ways of being loved. From a terrified animal who would run away at any sudden movement to a drama queen who wants to sleep with her head on my pillow. Seeing the dog she is today has truly changed me and has sparked a passion for giving rescue animals a new life. I hope, (rescue or not) that I can provide your pet with the same love and care that I did ladybird- even if it’s just for a few hours ;) I’m available all day every day! Usually I work full time but I’m currently in between jobs and looking to start a remote job in the next week I love spending time with them whether it’s through exercise at a dog park or going on a long walk. In the home I enjoy using pet toys to interact with animals otherwise just petting and relaxing with them letting them know they aren’t alone and being attentive to them when they are in need

About: All I wanted growing up was a pet, so when I finally got cats I was elated! Not only have I been responsible for taking care of my cats and others, I have also been charged with feeding, walking and taking care of dogs too. I love any type of animal and believe that my enthusiasm and sense of responsibility enables to be a reliable and caring pet sitter. I am residing in Chicago, Illinois and am in school, so I am available to take care of your beloved pets during the evenings and weekends, and am able to overnight sit as well! The most important matter when house sitting a new animal is to make them feel comfortable! About: Animals have always been huge in my life. I grew up spending much of my time on a farm, and these days I share an apartment with my cat, Pierre. I also had my two beloved dogs, Joe and Alice, who lived to almost 16, and I was a primary caregiver through their senior years. Beyond my own pets, I’ve worked at a pet daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments in a group setting. I’ve also been the trusted go-to dog walker and pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for years. Whether your pet is a chill senior, an energetic puppy or somewhere I between, I tailor my care to your pets’ needs. I have experience administering oral medication; for manual medication, I just require a quick meet-and-greet beforehand. I’m happiest when I’m around animals, reliable, and will treat your pet like family! I work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible. I am generally available in the mornings, evenings and weekends, and sometimes may be able to accommodate a weekday mid-day visit. I’m extremely respectful of others’ spaces and will treat your home and pet with love and care. When entering a new space with a pet who is unfamiliar with me, I am patient and calm. I will review any instructions thoroughly and follow them.

About: Growing up with many types of dogs, from Labrador Retrievers to French Bulldogs, has given me a lifelong love of animals. I currently have a very active 2 year old French Bulldog, so I understand the importance of providing dogs with plenty of exercise and attention. I am familiar with the unique behaviors and needs of both puppies and adult dogs. I have completed several dog training classes that have given me a background in basic obedience training. I will make sure your dog is happy and well cared for while you are away! I am currently a graduate school student with a very open and flexible schedule. I can be available during working hours as well as weekends depending on your needs. I am happy to care for your dog in any way that you’re comfortable. I’m available to play with your dog at home or take them on walks.

About: I’ve taken care of my own family’s dog and others for friends and family over the last 6 years, including walking, feeding, bathing, and just giving a little love! I am a new resident in Chicago very much missing my family and friends dogs back home. I work remotely, so I’m available for walks or drop-in visits most days of the week and sometimes on the weekends. My availability is usually updated on the calendar to reflect any weekends where I’m out of town or have full day commitments. Outside of those circumstances, I’m also available to board in my own apartment. I work remotely, so I’ll be home most of the day during the week to cuddle and play with your pup. On the weekends, I’m a bit more in and out, but I’ll adjust my schedule accordingly to be able to take them out at least 3 times per day or take them with me on adventures where possible! I do live on the third floor, so they’ll need to be okay with stairs or small enough to carry. I sadly don’t have any pets of my own, but that means no need to worry about interactions with other pets inside the home.

My husband, Hugh, and I share this account, and Hugh works from home every day, so he's home with the dogs all day. That means any weekday drop-off or pick-up is handled by him, and your dog will never be left alone. We have a sweet, energetic dog who loves being outdoors. We live right by The 606 and a neighborhood park, so we're out walking, playing, and exploring every day. Whether it's a quick potty break, a long walk, or a game of fetch, your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise, and fresh air with us. Your dog will be treated like part of our family. We're happy to follow your dog's usual schedule, including meals, walks, and bedtime, and to match their sleeping arrangements, whether that's a crate, their own bed, or a spot on the couch. Just tell us what your dog is used to and what they need, and we'll do our best to make them feel right at home. Since Hugh is home all day, they'll always have company and attention, and I'll send updates and photos so you can relax while you're away.

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs since I was a young girl in elementary school. From poodles, pugs, and terriers to doodles, labs and corgis… at every age in life as well. I do have experience with animals that have suffered past trauma, deal with stranger anxiety or require prescription medications. I’m a very empathetic person and feel like I have a connection to dogs in that sense. I always had a dog growing up so I’m aware of the importance of consistent walks, play time, healthy meals and socialization.
