“Christopher was absolutely awesome to work with. Chris house sat for us with my dog Fiona. Chris. Was incredibly communicative throughout the whole process from coming over before his stay to meet Fiona to giving us updates while we were out of town on how our girl was doing. If you are looking for someone who will care and love your pet while you are away, Chris is your guy.”

“Alexandra goes above and beyond to accommodate the pet and the owner when she digits. I can’t thank her enough for dealing with the unexpected headaches that she did when she watched my dog. I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to watch their pet.”

“Halley was absolutely excellent — we can’t recommend her enough. She truly came through for us in a pinch. Our dog got sick right before a planned trip, and Halley stepped in without hesitation. She stayed at her home, and Halley handled everything with so much care and professionalism. She administered medications reliably, sent frequent photo updates, provided thoughtful daily summaries, and asked all the right questions along the way. It was incredibly reassuring knowing our sick dog was being so well taken care of while we were away. Halley was communicative, attentive, and genuinely caring — exactly what you hope for in a sitter, especially in a stressful situation. We’re so grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone. Five stars all the way.”

“Aaron was great! He sent us lots of photos and kept us updated on how Astro was doing everyday of our trip. He was communicative, prompt, and was kind enough to accommodate all of Astro’s quirks. We would definitely ask him back to watch Astro again!”

“Kelso was great watching my 12-week old puppy for the day! I was worried because it was our first time leaving him with a sitter, and Kelso rally put us at ease and took great care of him. Would recommend and use again for sure!”

“Ana is so great!! She helped us out so much with Nova. She gave us so many updates and sent us wonderful photos of Nova. Nova was so happy to have her. Highly recommend for your dog sitting!”

“Christina was great with my anxious rescue pup, Max! She gave him time to warm up and won him over with snuggles and walks following his lead. She also helped wash the linens, etc. I came home to a happy pup!”

“I believe that Rio had a great time with Allison! She is very reactive. The house was as clean as I left it. Great experience. I hope she will be able to take care of him again any time soon.”

“Short version: Cris was so amazing that we already booked her for a future stay with our 2 cats as we were on the way home from the airport. We are so grateful that a friend suggested we think about Rover for our travel. We have two cats, both of whom are on medication, and we were not keen to leave them alone while we were gone for close to two weeks. We found Cris on the Rover site and she has MANY positive reviews as well as numerous repeat clients. And we know why - we already have booked her for the future so we too are eager repeat clients. Cris sent us updates and AMAZING pictures - and was even so thoughtful to schedule her texts as we were overseas. So I received text updates in the morning when I woke up, and when she was fast asleep. She even thought ahead to let me know that she was scheduling the texts so I wouldn't worry that she was awake at such odd hours. In the first few days Cris sent us a lot of texts to let us know how things were going (as this was the first time she had stayed with the kitties) and then noted that she planned on sending fewer updates - as long as that was OK with us (which it was) - moving forward. I always felt I could reach out with questions if ever I had any (although I didn't because Cris kept us so well updated). It was immediately evident that Cris was taking amazing care of our cats, and also it was evident that if she had ANY questions she would be sure to ask us - knowing that allowed us the opportunity to fully relax and enjoy our vacation, knowing that our cats were incredibly well cared for. It was easy to see that Cris really cared about both of our cats, and she took the time to learn their unique personalities. Some of my favorite texts from her were when she was remarking (and was 100% accurate) on the personalities that she saw in each of our kitties. As I already noted - we were so impressed that we have already booked her to stay with our cats again.”
About: I have done occasional pet sitting since I was in high school. I have two cats of my own that I absolutely adore. I would love to cuddle and take care of your kitties! I work 8-4 during the week, but I typically have an hour or so to step away and visit your pets. I also have an open schedule on the weekends. Having two cats myself, I understand that animals need time to adjust to a new person. I usually let the animals come to me when they feel safe and ready.
“Kristyna was so friendly and made us feel that Miso is in good hands! We definitely can tell when Miso had a good time with sitters and Miso’s pictures that Kristyna shared with us daily was full of happiness. Also Kristyna KNOWS what Miso likes to do and we could tell she’s so good with taking care of doggos!”

“Allie took care of Socks in our home over the weekend and it went great! We came back to a happy dog, an immaculate house, and she kept us updated throughout with plenty of photos. Socks took to Allie very quickly (and normally she’s nervous with new people so it was a pleasant surprise!) and she just seems so reliable, friendly, and caring to our dog that we also trusted her rightaway! Will definitely have Allie care for Socks more in the future… THANK YOU!!!”

“Nicole is so sweet and communicative! She was quick to respond from the first message I sent her inquiring about her availability. She took good care of our pups and would be happy to have her watch our girls again!”
“Bethany was extremely communicative and a pleasure to work with. My dog Zoey it’s always a little standoffish with someone new. However, Bethany gave her the space to earn her trust. She took her for many long walks daily and made sure she had plenty of pets and snuggles when they became friends!! Bethany was very professional and super helpful while I was away. I hope to work w her again in the future.”

“Dominique took great care of my boys while we were out of town. She was very responsive and sent frequent updates. She flowed instructions thoroughly and kept my boys happy, entertained, and safe. We loved meeting her and my pups loved having her over!”

“Carolyn did such an amazing job housesitting. I had to book last minute due to an emergency and she was at my place within an hour. My apartment looked just as it was when I left it, and Carolyn followed instructions perfectly. She was very communicative and very thoughtful with my anxious dog. I am so glad to have found her in such a pinch and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Polina did an amazing job watching our two cats and dog! Lots of pictures and updates throughout the weekend which we appreciate. Awesome communication and left the house in great shape. We’d love to use her again!”

“Annie was so great! This was my first time leaving my dog with someone other than family since 2019, and Annie made me feel so comfortable right away. She sent great photos and updates about my dog, I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation without worrying about how my dog was doing. Will definitely hire Annie again!”

West Town pet parents share their Rover experiences
We had a fantastic experience with Ezgi house-sitting for our dog, Maximus. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and she kept us updated with tons of photos and messages throughout our trip. Seeing how happy and well cared for Maximus was gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to truly relax while we were away. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly treated Maximus like her own. We came home to a happy dog and a well-cared-for home. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of Maximus! 🐾

Lifesaver!! Due to some emergency travel issues, we needed Gianni just stay with our dog for an extra night. This was during horrible storms in Chicago. She acted quickly, changed her plans and was able to stay another night with our dog. Cannot thank her enough.

Mairead is a modern day Snow White. I returned to two happy and well cared for cats. Even my neighbor's cat stopped by to visit. And my millipede, which I hadn't seen for a month, made an appearance! I am especially grateful that Mairead provided expert care to my one cat that requires medication and a specific diet. I would 100% book with her again.

Nicole was great! Stayed with our girls on short notice and took such good care of them (and us)! Came for a meet-and-greet since this was our first time, which I really appreciated. Just the right amount of communication while we were away, including photos of our dogs looking blissful. Thank you, Nicole!
We count ourselves so lucky to have found Joseph! Not only was he incredibly responsive and thorough before we left, he provided numerous daily updates while we were gone so we knew our pup was enjoying himself and things were going well. Our recent rescue clearly adored him, and Joseph was incredible with him on walks (which can be a stressful/excitable time for our dog). He gave us some great recommendations for our dog based on his years of experience, which we could actively see working during his time here. And though this is definitely not a part of the job, our home was clearly so well taken care of while we were away - we were amazed. Anyways, we can’t recommend Joseph enough and he has new customers in us!!

If I could give Chloe more than five stars, I would. I have two dogs, and neither of them are exactly "easy mode." My older dog, Stewie, is a senior who is beginning to lose his vision. He wasn't properly socialized when he was younger, and although he has made tremendous progress over the past few years, he's still very nervous around strangers and can become reactive when stressed. My younger dog is an absolute sweetheart, but she's a recent rescue who gets overly excited and reactive around other dogs because she desperately wants to play with everyone she sees. To make matters even more stressful, I was leaving for a week-long work trip when everything fell apart. I originally had another sitter booked who had already met my dogs beforehand. However, once I left, Stewie became extremely stressed and started acting nippy. The sitter contacted me and told me she could no longer watch him. While scrambling to figure things out through Rover, I found another sitter, but after meeting Stewie, she declined as well. At that point, I was panicked. I was out of town, facing the possibility of having no one to care for my dogs, and feeling completely overwhelmed. Then Chloe stepped in. She came to meet my little crazy old man, handled the situation with patience and confidence, and never made me feel like my dogs were too much. She cared for both dogs all week, kept me updated, and gave me incredible peace of mind during what could have been a complete disaster of a trip. Not only did she take amazing care of my dogs, but she went above and beyond in ways I never expected. She picked up paper towels when I ran out, swept my apartment, and was simply kind, thoughtful, and professional throughout the entire experience. Chloe showed so much patience, flexibility, and compassion during a genuinely chaotic situation. It's clear she truly cares about the animals she watches and understands that every pet has their own quirks and challenges. I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely wonderful with animals, book Chloe. I will absolutely be booking with her again in the future.

Pashan was patient and accommodating with my dog Bear. He is comfortable with her in his space even though he us not always friendly with strangers. My flight got delayed coming back and Pashan was flexible with her schedule, staying late with Bear. She was also communicative and sharing regular updates with me during the stay!

Amanda was amazing. We had a last minute sitter cancellation and Amanda was able to take care of Biggie Smalls for us. He took to her immediately and was so well taken care of. She was great with updates and photos and super respectful of our home. We would recommend her 100x over and Biggie can’t wait to see her again!
