“Bethany is an amazing communicator while watching Zoey. She keeps me in the loop about everything! I was pleased with her help and plan to book with her as much as she is available to help out.”

“Kelso house-and-dogsat for our 3 hounds for 4 nights and was a pleasure to work with. We got updates and photos, and we didn’t have to worry about things at all, which is exactly what we wanted! Will use them again.”

“Perniall did a great job taking care of Nugget! Paid close attention to all of his special needs and we felt very good knowing he was in such good care. He left the apartment super clean and love to see our dog happy and comfortable. Will definitely be working with Perniall again!”

“Callie was awesome with our dog, Charlie! She stayed at our house and sent tons of pictures and updates, which I really appreciated. It’s clear he had such a fun time hanging with Callie. She took the time to learn about Charlie’s quirks and I felt confident that he was in good hands while my husband and I were traveling. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter and hope to have her watch Charlie again in the future.”

“Milagros did a good job taking care of our dogs while we were away. She was reliable, communicated well, sent photos, and made sure they were well fed and walked.”

“Sarah was great! We had just moved to the state and she took wonderful care of our little Milo. She was super flexible, which really helped during a hectic time. We came home to a happy pup—definitely recommend her!”

“Molly did a fantastic job with my dog Sammy! He can be a bit sad and anxious when I leave home, but she made him comfortable and gave him lots of snuggles. Molly sent lots of pics during her stay and left my house tidy. Would highly recommend her for house sitting your pup!”

“Cheryl was awesome. She took great care of my pups who are both a little nervous/wary of strangers. She left my place super clean. I really enjoyed meeting her before we booked to make sure she was comfortable. Without her, my wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.
“Carlyle took great care of our cats and dog when we went out of town for 4 days. Our anxious cat warmed up quickly to Carlyle (which is rare!) and our other pets were happy and well cared for. We will definitely book Carlyle again in the future.”

“Joel was so kind and responsive housesitting and staying with my older dog. I couldn’t have hoped for more! I felt so comfortable being gone. I will absolutely use him again.”

“Elaine was wonderful! She kept us in the loop with pictures and updates, which made us feel really plugged in and not missing Hal too much. Elaine stayed in our house as part of this booking and left it clean and organized. We will definitely be booking again!”

“Kris was excellent taking care of my three dogs in my home. I have one sensitive rescue dog that takes time and care to warm up to anyone. He got along very well with Kris. My instructions were followed perfectly and I got regular check ins and updates about the puppies. I’d love to have Kris take care of the puppies in the future! He’s very kind and attentive and the puppies were clearly comfortable with him. Thank you so much!”

“Emmalyn was great, she made us feel so comfortable traveling knowing our dogs were so well cared for! She sent so many good pictures and left our place nice and tidy for our return. She was good with the dogs and we could tell they didn’t feel stress in our absence.”

“I’ve had Neal pet sit my cat and dog twice. He was wonderful both times providing updates and pictures regularly. Neal was also respective of my home. I will happily request his services in the future.”

“Nicole came in clutch with a last minute house sitting for our two cats, one of which is sick. She did such a great job looking after them and administering oral medication. Extremely communicative, attentive to detail, and truly caring for our pets. Went above and beyond. Highly recommend and we are excited to work with Nicole again soon!”

“Tammy is an amazing sitter, my pup Toby had a great time with her! She helped us out in an emergency/last minute situation and we are so grateful to have found her.”

“Jo was wonderful with Louie and Lucy. Very attentive to Louie as a senior dog with special needs and was very good to Lucy as a young cat who likes to play and be hugged. Jo kept me informed with great communication, photos and videos. I felt very at ease having her house sit and look forward to having her in the future.”

“Destiny is the best sitter we’ve had; a literal gem. She took Calzone to the park and whole bunch and prioritized energy outlets for her. She was communicative and sent lots of pictures which put me at ease. Destiny is definitely our #1 sitter and we are lucky to have found her. She also left my space way nicer than she found it which is an additional gift after traveling a bunch.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Humboldt Park
Dora watched my 2 dogs for a night on relatively short notice. She was communicative from the first message, and flexible with squeezing in a meet & greet with the dogs and me prior. I can tell they were comfy in Dora’s care and would absolutely book a housesitting or other dog care service again!

Nicole is a SUPERSTAR sitter. You can tell she is a true animal lover. She took such good care of my cat Nora and calmed my anxiety with frequent updates and pictures! I felt so relieved knowing she was at my home with Nora and I could relax on my vacation. I have already booked Nicole again for a future trip, and I highly recommend using her as a sitter for all your pet needs!

Jillian took wonderful care of our boy, Henny. She stayed in our home and watched him for a week, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. It's always difficult leaving our dog behind, but Jillian made us feel completely at ease. She is kind, professional, and genuinely great with dogs. When we returned, Henny was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved while we were away. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and will gladly book with her again. Highly recommend!

Pablo was fantastic, he was great watching our very anxious Bolognese! He warmed up to Pablo very quickly and we were getting pictures of them playing the first day. Pablo kept us in the loop via pictures and updates and made us feel at ease for our trip. Would absolutely book with Pablo again!

Maya is our favorite sitter for our two pups. She’s their favorite too! She is reliable, responsible, and communicates often. She loves her work and loves our girls. It’s obvious from the joy in the videos she shares & the ways she spoils them. It always feels like our pups are on vacation too when Maya is with them.

Katherine was an AMAZING pet sitter for my two cats! She sent pictures every day and kept me updated on how they were doing. They were so happy with her! I can tell she really cared about them. She even taught them a new trick! I would highly recommend Katherine, and I will absolutely have her back to care for my boys when I'm out of town!
