About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.

Kirsten was absolutely awesome! We needed a sitter for an extended time as we were on vacation for about a week and a half, and we got updates and adorable photos every day. Kirsten was great at administering Skippy's medication and helping him with his mobility issues (he's a senior, tripawd pup.) It was clear Skippy got comfortable with her very quickly, and Kirsten also provided comfort to him during the bane of every dog owner's summer...the fireworks during 4th of July. Maya was amazing with Lobo; I wish she wasn't moving because he really seemed to enjoy her. He was so mad when she left, and he wanted her to come back. She went out of her way to make him comfortable and got him through the Fourth of July. He is a needy guy, so I am super grateful that Maya was able to handle his neediness and give him the love he needs. She left the place super clean and sent me tons of photos and videos of Lobo (which kept me at ease). She even bought him treats :) Thank you, Maya!!
Caline is so great!! We came home to a very happy dog after Caline spent a long holiday weekend with her. She was reliable and frequently shared updates/phots. Jeremy was outstanding. He was very responsive and communicative and paid attention when we did oureet and greet and it showed because he did everything I asked and kept me updated with the dogs and my geckos. He left my place better than I left it and the dogs and geckos were in good shape. I highly recommend him for house-sitting and dog sitting.
