“Kelso was great watching my 12-week old puppy for the day! I was worried because it was our first time leaving him with a sitter, and Kelso rally put us at ease and took great care of him. Would recommend and use again for sure!”

“Nicole is so sweet and communicative! She was quick to respond from the first message I sent her inquiring about her availability. She took good care of our pups and would be happy to have her watch our girls again!”
“I believe that Rio had a great time with Allison! She is very reactive. The house was as clean as I left it. Great experience. I hope she will be able to take care of him again any time soon.”

“We have used Jessica multiple times including an overnight in our home. She is professional, trustworthy, takes wonderful care of our Coco, and is a great communicator with wonderful updates while we are away.”

“Justice took good care of my dog and four cats. She was very communicative and had to follow a medication regimen and somewhat complicated feeding system. I will definitely book her again when I’m next out of town!”

“Diane is amazing! Our dog Juni is really tough. She's petrified of strangers and sometimes nips. She's very slow to warm up and sometimes won't even let sitters let her outside. There have been times when she boycotted eating for days, and even when we have family watch her, she's often sick for days after we get back because of stress. Diane worked with Juni and treated her with kindness, patience, and understanding. She gave her space and even did some emotion/body coding work with her which I thought was really cool. She treated our house with respect and we returned to it spotless. I felt very safe and comfortable having her stay in our home, and I think Juni did too. She was in great spirits when we got back and she even had a great few days of eating, no stress sickness. We so appreciate Diane's willingness to work with her! In addition, she was very communicative and thorough when it came to the details/logistics of the stay, and came by in advance to meet us and Juni. I would recommend Diane to anyone.”

“Carlyle was an amazing dog sitter for our Greta! We got regular updates, and she handled Greta's medication schedule perfectly. We're usually a little nervous leaving Greta with someone else, but Carlyle made us feel at peace that she was with someone who truly cared for her. Would 100% book again!”

“Kat is an unbelievable pet and house sitter! Our senior dog has cancer and she provided the most compassionate care. Our house was cleaner than we left it! We are thankful to have found her.”
“Destiny is the best pet sitter we’ve worked with in 12 years of having a dog in our family. She is beyond - beyond kind, beyond helpful, beyond amazing with out nervous rescue dog, and a joy to work with. We needed a dog sitter one evening, as our dog still can’t be left alone, and she responded the same day, willing to help. She really saved us, and our dog didn’t want her to leave when it was time to say goodbye! We are so excited to keep working with her. We booked additional evenings before we left. She is a total gem. We suggest getting on her client list while she has space. Once you work with her, she’ll be your go-to as well.”

“Christopher was absolutely awesome to work with. Chris house sat for us with my dog Fiona. Chris. Was incredibly communicative throughout the whole process from coming over before his stay to meet Fiona to giving us updates while we were out of town on how our girl was doing. If you are looking for someone who will care and love your pet while you are away, Chris is your guy.”

About: I have been watching my friends’, family’s, and neighbors’ pets for 5+ years now. I offer a “Wow” factor of service that goes beyond the traditional water, food, bathroom routine. When I care for any pet, I take the extra care and time to play and cuddle so your fuzzy friend is never lonely. I make sure to bring my Polaroid camera to take pictures of your pet while you’re away so you never miss a moment and can display your cutie anywhere in the home - completely complimentary! I also have extensive experience with administering medicines like liquids, pills and subcutaneous fluids to differently abled pets. My own cat has needed each of those in the past so I have grown comfortable doing so and take extra care in the practice. My service is exemplary; neighbors who no longer live close to me still call me up to take care of their pets. I can’t wait to take care of yours! I am a primary grades teacher on summer break. This means I have lots of unused patience I typically spend on my little ones to use on taking care of your beloved pets and household, as well as lots of time on my hands to attend to your needs! I care for any pet like they are my pet. As a pet owner myself, it is so hard being away and worrying how they’re doing. When I leave them in others’ care, I would hope they care for my pet like they are their own. I take this philosophy into the homes and lives of others. With extensive practice in child care, pet care and medicine management, and house sitting, I will come to your aid with a lens of empathy and compassion.
“Callie took such good care of both cats and made sure to send updates and pictures when she could. The cats warmed right up to her and felt at home. I will absolutely be using her again!”

“Milagros did a good job taking care of our dogs while we were away. She was reliable, communicated well, sent photos, and made sure they were well fed and walked.”

“Tammy was a fantastic sitter for my cat Solana! She was so kind and asked all detailed questions about my cat’s medication and food schedule. I loved all the picture updates she gave of how my cat was doing while I was out of town. Thank you Tammy!”

“Bethany was extremely communicative and a pleasure to work with. My dog Zoey it’s always a little standoffish with someone new. However, Bethany gave her the space to earn her trust. She took her for many long walks daily and made sure she had plenty of pets and snuggles when they became friends!! Bethany was very professional and super helpful while I was away. I hope to work w her again in the future.”

“Allie took care of Socks in our home over the weekend and it went great! We came back to a happy dog, an immaculate house, and she kept us updated throughout with plenty of photos. Socks took to Allie very quickly (and normally she’s nervous with new people so it was a pleasant surprise!) and she just seems so reliable, friendly, and caring to our dog that we also trusted her rightaway! Will definitely have Allie care for Socks more in the future… THANK YOU!!!”

“Zoe is everything you would want in a dog sitter and so much more!!! She communicated well and was super kind and flexible throughout. Our 3-month old puppy loved her and kept looking for her after she left!! She sent pictures and videos and was very tuned into the needs of our puppy. We highly recommend her without reservation!”

About: I have done occasional pet sitting since I was in high school. I have two cats of my own that I absolutely adore. I would love to cuddle and take care of your kitties! I work 8-4 during the week, but I typically have an hour or so to step away and visit your pets. I also have an open schedule on the weekends. Having two cats myself, I understand that animals need time to adjust to a new person. I usually let the animals come to me when they feel safe and ready.
West Garfield Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nicole was great! Stayed with our girls on short notice and took such good care of them (and us)! Came for a meet-and-greet since this was our first time, which I really appreciated. Just the right amount of communication while we were away, including photos of our dogs looking blissful. Thank you, Nicole!
We originally booked Allie for a 2 week house sit, and unfortunately Socks had a medical emergency while we were on a different continent. I genuinely don’t know what we would have done without her. Allie became Socks’ advocate when we couldn’t be there ourselves. She drove her to multiple vets, spent hours and hours at appointments, volunteered without hesitation to make long drives, stayed with Socks throughout the entire process, and made sure she was never alone or scared. Over three incredibly stressful days, she kept us constantly updated, remained calm and level-headed, asked the right questions, and helped us make decisions from thousands of miles away. What impressed us most was not just the time and effort she put in, but how deeply she cared. She was firm and clear with the vets, thoughtful with us, and incredibly compassionate with Socks. At every step, we knew our dog was being cared for by someone who genuinely had her best interests at heart. Allie has set an exceptionally high bar for every future sitter and dog walker we use. I honestly can’t imagine many people responding to this situation the way she did. We trust her completely and will always be grateful for everything she did for our family.

Emmalyn was great, she made us feel so comfortable traveling knowing our dogs were so well cared for! She sent so many good pictures and left our place nice and tidy for our return. She was good with the dogs and we could tell they didn’t feel stress in our absence.

Dilrose was great with my senior dog while house sitting. She administered his medications and catered to him as he is going blind and deaf. She was a very good house guest and went above and beyond during her stay. She was also great with sending updates and photos. I would definitely book her again!

Courtney recently watched our puppy after our initial sitter was unable to help as planned. Courtney did a fantastic job. She was extremely responsive to all of my messages, kept the home clean, and ensured we were almost home before leaving our pet. While I personally love receiving many pictures and updates, I am giving her a 5-star rating because I did not communicate that specific preference to her beforehand, and she was otherwise excellent at staying in touch. Courtney is lovely and I would absolutely book her again.
