Dog shelter volunteer!
Hi! I am a writer living in the Wicker Park/ Bucktown area. I volunteered at Heartland Animal Shelter when I was in grad school and miss playing with pups every day! I love going on long walks, taking dogs for field trips in the car (if allowed by owner), playing with their toys with them, and cuddling. I also know how hard it can be to leave your buddy with someone else, so I am very good about sending updates/pictures if you would like them! :) In my clients’ homes, I will adhere to whatever rules/ routines their dog is used to. Especially if the dog is high energy, I will make sure to play with him/her and go on long walks so that bedtime won’t be an issue.

I will follow the routines your dog is used to both inside and outside your home. I love playing and cuddling with dogs. They will get lots of attention.

Allison is super sweet and sent lots of photos and videos to me. She also took care of my plants. We spent a long time chatting during our meet and greet which made me feel very comfortable after. The only part that was disappointing is that she had an emergency on a Saturday night/Sunday morning just 4 days before I went on my trip so I had to scramble to find a replacement. She asked if I wanted to cancel but I didn’t anticipate I would did anyone. My dog is a little complicated so I couldn’t have her friend cover for her as she had offered. I’m just relieved it all worked out as I got my roommate to take her place. Other than that—things were great!
Allie is quickly becoming our regular sitter, and Socks absolutely loves her! She gets so excited every time she sees Allie again! To us, Allie is always reliable, sends us lots of photos and updates, and treats our home with so much respect (she even offered to water our plants while we were away!). This time she also kept Socks company and calm through the tornado warnings in Chicago. Knowing how Socks gets nervous with heavy rains and thunder it’s amazing to know she had reliable company during the scary weather. We always feel comfortable knowing Socks and our home are in great hands with her. Highly recommend!
Allison was great with Beau and super flexible with timing!
Allison was an amazing house sitter! We have a senior dog with a good amount of needs and she was very thorough and attentive in caring for her. We appreciated the videos, pictures, and updates. Will definitely use her again!

Beyond! Just BEYOND! Allie was so lovely with Emma from our very first meet & greet. And she took such care - Emma was practically bored when we came home, her life was so uninterrupted by hanging with Allie. And, on a personal level, when our flight got cancelled and rescheduled for the next day 😩 Allie was able to jump in and keep helping us out. The absolute best! (And did she water the plants I always forget to water? I think so!!!) Hire Allie. She's amazing!

Schedule
I am available during the day to take your dog on walks, feed them, and play with them! I am also available for overnights. I have a very flexible schedule right now.
