“Mike and Joanna came through in a pinch for us when our accommodations changed unexpectedly while traveling. Our dogs stayed with them for two nights and Joanna sent photos and updates every day. It was pretty much a spa vacation for them, with a pool and a ball pit and new dig friends, and couch snuggles at night. We know where our dogs will be staying from day one if we are ever back in Chicago!”

“Ruben was fantastic! We will definitely book again asap. He provided tons of updates on our dog, Ziggy, and made sure he felt comfortable. He was extremely flexible with our schedule and responsive! I am usually hesitant to leave Ziggy with new sitters but I knew right away that he was in great hands with Ruben. I’m sure he had a blast and looks forward to going back! Thank you Ruben!”

“I'm incredibly grateful to Maria and her daughter for taking care of my dog. Theo is a senior citizen who needs extra care. Maria was terrific with him.”

“I am very grateful. Akon spent 7 days with Michael and returned very happy and well cared for. He kept me updated every day by sending me photos and videos. Thank you for taking such good care of him.”

“So friendly and accommodating to me and my Santi boy. He seemed so happy and comfortable arriving home so i KNOW he had a great time. Charise is a true dog lover and i look forward to booking with her again. Thank you!!”

“Diana and Scott did a great job watching our dog Chalupa. They sat her for a week, and it was clear Chalupa was well cared for and got lots of attention. Would definitely recommend Diana and Scott to others!”

“Kylo loves Marieclaire! She is so sweet with him and he instantly was able to bond with her and Kai. She also was accommodating when we had a last minute change in plans which really saved us! Would definitely use her to watch Kylo again and recommend her to watch your fur baby.”

“Had Chad again take care of my girl, Olive. As always, Chad and his wife take such good care of her and they are incredibly flexible, easy-going, and responsible. They are great!”

“Amazing sitter for our dog! This was our first time leaving her for so many days not with family. Christina was great about sending updates and took wonderful care of Gobi. Will absolutely book with her again!!”

“I’ve booked with Kyla three times now and she’s been phenomenal! She’s very communicative and always sends pictures and updates on how Koda is doing and getting along with the other pups. She’s also very attentive to his behaviors (eating patterns, socializing etc). Koda is happy to be dropped off and also if happy and tired out when I pick him up. I would highly recommend booking with Kyla!”

“Sophia and Andy took great care of my dog Bowie while I was out of town! They were responsive, proactive and extremely kind throughout the whole process and I will definitely be reaching out to them again when I'm out of town next. Thank you both!!”

“Where do I even begin?! Honestly. I’ve read that they are “GOD SENDS” and it is true. They are truly some of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever met. From the moment they walked in, my puppy was instantly comfortable with them (which never happens that fast!). You can just feel how much they genuinely love animals. They didn’t just take care of my puppy — they spoiled them with love, attention, and so much patience. I got daily updates, adorable photos, and sweet messages that made me smile every time. It was such a relief knowing my little one was being cared for by someone so warm and trustworthy. And the sweetest touch? They even brought special keepsakes as a little surprise — it was so thoughtful and showed how much heart they put into what they do. My puppy came home happy, calm, and clearly adored. I couldn’t recommend them all more. They’re responsible, compassionate, and truly have the biggest heart. If you’re lucky enough to have them take care of your dog, you can rest easy knowing your pup is in the very best hands. 🐶💛 I will baked my sweet, but crazy pup there again and again!!!!”

“Nina was great! Flexible and communicative and sent pictures throughout Luna’s stay. We could tell Luna was comfortable with her and would happily use her again in the future.”

“Julia is the best! Our dog Brandy is always so excited to get to her house!! She loves playing with her dog Bambina and we love knowing she’s in great hands!”

“Maurice had a great time with Christine! I loved all of the picture and video updates, every time a new one came in I told my traveling crew there was a new Maurice drop and we all got in on the update. Christine was very responsive to any questions and treated my little guy so well!”

“A+++++!!!! Barbara and Chewy were absolutely incredible hosts!! We can't say enough about how thoughtful, generous, kind, and communicative that Barbara was during our trip. We were very anxious about leaving our dog (this was our first time using Rover), and she put us at ease, sent frequent updates (including pictures and videos), and was extremely thorough, dedicated, and friendly, and followed our care instructions extremely seriously. Her dog Chewy is a sweetheart who seems to be great as a co-host :) We absolutely recommend Barbara to anyone who is looking for a dog sitter, and we are so grateful to her for this experience!”

“Kyla was incredible!! From the initial contact to pickup, she was friendly and professional. She took the time to know my dog’s needs and preferences. She sent me regular updates and photos of my pup, which put me at ease while I was away! I highly recommend Kyla for a trustworthy and caring place for their dog. I’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Nathan is absolutely amazing with our dog, Luna. This is the third time he has watched Luna and this won’t be the last! He sends frequent updates, photos, and messages, which really helps put our minds at ease whenever we have to travel. It’s never easy leaving your dog behind, but knowing she’s in such safe, caring hands makes the whole experience so much less stressful. Luna clearly enjoys her time with him, and we always come back to a happy pup. He also gives us tips to train Luna which I really appreciate as a first-time dog owner. We highly recommend Nathan to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring dog sitter!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.

“I couldn't be happier with the care Jean provided for my cats and my home. Jean was incredibly responsive before and during my trip, carefully reviewed all of my instructions, and asked thoughtful questions to make sure everything was clear. Jean sent wonderful photo updates throughout the stay, and it was obvious my two cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Jean took the time to play with my cats, keep em entertained, and give my cats treats (per my instructions!) which I really appreciated. I consider one of my cats as pretty cautious and shy, and based on the pictures and updates I received, Jean was able to get her out of her shell and relaxed in literally no time. On top of taking awesome care of my cats, Jean also took amazing care of my home. My apartment was probably in better shape than when I left. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Jean to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring pet sitter.”

“Jade is always so wonderful with our furbaby! Our kitty needed some ear drops this time and Jade was a champ and made sure she got the medicine she needed. Thanks for always updating us and taking care of our girl!”

“Yesenia did a great job with my fur babies. She also took some great photos. My cats were well taken care of so I did not worry. I will definitely book Yesenia for my furbabies. I think they warmed up to her fairly quick.”

“Roy was so great! My cat had such a fun time, and left less for me to worry about him while I was gone. Roy is also a wonderful, entertaining writer in the drop-in reports, is really good with cats, and takes great photos!”

“Megan did an excellent job looking after our two cats while we were on vacation. Each time I communicated with her before the trip, she responded promptly. She also provided detailed information after her two drop-in visits.”

“Hope was amazing with our shy cat! She took great care of our girl while we were away and made the whole process easy by being communicative and flexible. We’ll definitely be rebooking with Hope.”

“Sol was a great sitter for our cats! We were leaving them for the longest stretch of time we had to at this point and she appeased all of our anxiety. We were incredibly thankful for all the the care Sol showed our cats”

“All 3 of my cats were happy and well cared for when I got back. She is prompt, thorough and kind. My shy cat was friendly with her immediately which never happens. Absolutely recommend and will book again.”

About: Growing up with and currently raising three cats, I’ve learned that pet care is more than just refilling a bowl—it’s about understanding unique personalities. My own trio has trained me well: Stomy (my rescued orange tabby) taught me patience and gentleness, Sheba (my Highlander Lynx) keeps me active with high-energy play, and Atticus (my Siamese) requires constant engagement and vocal communication. Whether your cat is an independent spirit or a vocal cuddler, I respect their boundaries and have the hands-on experience to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved in your absence.
“Gwendolyn took very good care of my “girls,” Shenanigan and Isabelle. They are shy cats but they took to her immediately. She has cared for them twice and I consider her my regular cat sitter.”

“Ruben is the best! Our puppies Frankie and Kevin loved spending the day at his place. It had been a few weeks since Kevin last stayed with Ruben and he was so happy to see him! Frankie is a newer addition to our family and she’s a rescue - she’s been through some trauma and has separation anxiety but Ruben made her very comfortable. He is always so responsive, flexible, accommodating and a great host to our pups. He’s great about sending picture updates too! Highly recommend Ruben!”

“Diamond is an amazing sitter! She truly cares for the dogs she looks after and keeps you at ease with regular updates. My Leo came back home so tired and happy-which says everything, and he honestly didn’t even want to leave her place! Her dogs are wonderful as well and got along perfectly with mine, which made the whole experience even better. Diamond is reliable, punctual, and clearly passionate about what she does. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter.”

She left us with the most adorable goody bag as well, with a Polaroid to commemorate Luna’s stay. Above and beyond - would not hesitate to use her again.”

“Elliott is amazing! My 7 month old puppy was a nervous/anxious mess around new situations and I’ve been so worried to bring him to just any daycare. I found Elliott and my dog Jax warmed up quickly, and ended up playing with all the other dogs in daycare! He came home and was walking around the block SO confident after just one day at daycare. The pic/video updates are also wonderful. So grateful I found Elliott, will definitely be using him from now on.”

About: I do take up to 3 clients at a time, so I can only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs. I am doing Rover full time. Which means more time to spend on walks, playing and affection time ! I won't be distracted with any electronic device, when outdoors with your dog. I don't smoke, drink or party. I grew up caring for a couple amazing dogs. I've taken care of my brother's, neighbors and friends dogs. I love being outdoors and being active, so if your dog has alot of energy, he'll be sleeping like a baby by the end of the day. I currently don't have any pets of my own. I'm looking forward to making memorable moments with your dog(s). I can take your dog on an hour long early morning walk/run near a park close to where I live, so we can also play ball, Frisbee or with a toy! Then I could take your dog to 1-3 additional walks throughout the day. I try to make the dog feel at home,by being calm and trying to understand his/her body language, quirks and personality. Giving them affection and playing with them, but also some alone time.
“Lee was responsive and sent many pics and videos. Her place is perfectly set up for dogs and her two pups were perfect new friends for our anxious little one. We will definitely be booking again!”

“Yasmine was wonderful with my very energetic dog. Her own dog is well-behaved and serves as a great role model for other dogs. When my dog came home, he was happy, tired, and completely content, a clear sign that he had a fantastic time. She lives close to a large dog park where dogs can run, play, and burn off their energy while having the time of their lives. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog with Yasmine and plan to do so regularly. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter and excellent company for their dog.”

“Camilo was such a great sitter! My dog came home happy and I got regular updates throughout the days they spent together. He fed her fresh veggies and was very patient with her (she's young and still learning!).”

“Stavroula was a good communicator and I really appreciated her accepting my last minute booking. I like that she took pictures of my dog during their walks. I can tell Izzy liked her too… he seemed confused that she left after the walk instead of staying to hang out 😂”

About: Hello! I’m a recent college graduate and a devoted pet lover working from a home office. I offer reliable, flexible, and high-quality care for your furry family members, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and entertained while you are away. My Pet Care Experience My passion for animal care is rooted in a lifetime of experience with both dogs and cats. I am currently the proud owner of three cats with unique needs: Stomy (my rescued Orange Tabby) taught me patience, Sheba (my Highlander Lynx) keeps me active with high-energy play, and Atticus (my Siamese) taught me the importance of constant social engagement. In addition to my cats, I have extensive experience with dogs. Until recently, I was a dedicated owner to three rescued dogs who passed away peacefully last year. Caring for them, especially in their golden years, gave me deep experience with senior pet care, administering medication, and providing the gentle, compassionate support that older or shy animals need. Whether you have an energetic puppy or a slow-moving senior, I have the hands-on experience to make them feel safe and comfortable. Services & Activities I Provide When I visit your home, my goal is to keep your pet's routine consistent and stress-free. My drop-in visits and house-sitting services include: * Feeding & Hygiene: Adhering strictly to feeding schedules, refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, and picking up waste. * Enrichment & Exercise: For cats, this means interactive play to burn off energy. For dogs, this includes stimulating walks, fetch, or backyard playtime. * Safety & Home Care: As a pet owner, I am hyper-aware of "door dashers." I practice strict safety protocols when entering and exiting to prevent escapes. I also bring in mail, water plants, and ensure your home is left tidy and secure. * Updates: You will receive detailed updates and high-quality photos after every visit, so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. My Schedule & Availability Because I work remotely from my home office, my schedule is my biggest asset for your peace of mind. Unlike sitters with rigid 9-to-5 commutes, I have open flexibility throughout the day. * I can easily accommodate mid-day drop-ins, early mornings, or evening visits. * I am available for last-minute requests if your plans change. * I have the time to stay a little longer if your pet seems lonely or needs extra cuddles. I understand that inviting a sitter into your home requires a great deal of trust. I treat every pet I meet with the same affection I give my own crew, and I treat your home with the utmost respect. My schedule: FLEXIBLE I currently work remotely from my home office, providing me with open availability throughout the week. Because I am home-based, I am highly reliable and able to commit to specific time slots that suit your pet's feeding and medication schedule. I have the freedom to step away from my desk to ensure your pets get the quality time and attention they deserve, exactly when they need it. Safety begins the moment I unlock your door. As a cat dad to three active felines, I am hyper-aware of "door darters" and curious paws. I practice a strict "look down before you step" policy and always double-check that doors and windows are securely latched before leaving. inside the home, I keep a close eye on your cat’s health and mood, ensuring they are eating, using the litter box normally, and engaging comfortably. I also make sure to leave your home exactly as I found it—tidy, secure, and peaceful.

About: I had 2 Labradors for about 3 years, a Dachshund for 4 (when i was younger) and lived in Chicago then i moved to California in 2015. I have dealt with many different breeds of dogs and cat to understand them on a personal level and their nature and behavior. I truly love my animals I feel that I naturally connect with dogs and cats totally. Currently my small pet family consists of a 6 month old black and white tabby cat and a 3 year old small white terrier listen to get along with very well. I give my pets regular exercise and walks. My dog is not a walker (tiny legs) but I regularly go on long walks and would love your dog to be my walking companion! I’m saving up for my wedding and very eager to work with you and your pet :) Since I’m just starting out on this app my rates are extremely competitive to get my foot in the door! I work from home with a very flexible schedule so I am usually able to drop in or take your pet for a walk at any time in the day! I care deeply for my own pets and know how important they are to people. I will treat your pets with the utmost care and concern and update you regularly

“Abagail came right on time and kept to the schedule, which the dogs needed with me being out of town for over a week. She Went above with walking and changing indoor potty pads!”

“Christopher has been great with our dog so far! He leaves thorough reviews and always makes sure he has enough water, which is very important given how hot Chicago gets in the summer. You can tell he loves dogs from the way he cares for them. He was also willing to come to meet our pup for a meet and greet prior to the walks which we very much appreciated. Looking forward to keeping Christopher on board as a stellar dog walker.”

About: 3 dog owner here, including a tripod. Two boys and a girl all came to us from people who could no longer care for them. Two were from former students and one from the husband of a colleague. I'm a full-time teacher and I also want to play with your dogs. My school hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. I am happy to work out drop off, pick up, hang out time and potty breaks. My dogs have front and back fenced-in yards to hang out and run around. They are able to roam the house all day. They go on walks twice a day and we have recently incorporated logic toys to keep them sharp.
“Arina was very communicative and so patient with multiple issues that popped up on her visit (absolutely no fault of hers!). She stayed extra with my dogs without being asked and provided plenty of videos and pictures.”

“Maurice had a great time with Christine! I loved all of the picture and video updates, every time a new one came in I told my traveling crew there was a new Maurice drop and we all got in on the update. Christine was very responsive to any questions and treated my little guy so well!”

“Ashley was wonderful with my dog Zoe! She sent multiple daily updates and I could tell Zoe was getting all the care and attention. It’s great having animal lovers take care of your pet, I’d highly recommend Ashley!”

“Our usual boarding place was booked and we were in a bind for our long vacation to Hawaii. A friend referred us and it Couldn’t have worked out more perfectly. We have a very large pup who needs a lot of activity and affection. Lech and Briselda took care of everything and more. The daily videos on IG were a huge bonus! We will be back again and again!”
